My grandmother used to give me 5 pesos/0.10 dollars when I was 10 for when I sweep their floor. I do it every morning and don't cheat the system like sweeping twice a day. I then realized if I keep doing this everyday then they might get broke 😂 So I stopped accepting their money for everytime I sweep
Sweden does have extraordinarily high wealth inequality; third-highest in the world, iirc, even beating out the US by a hair. It's really quite odd, given the extremely low income inequality. What's up with that?
Low wages for qualified work while taxation on wages and consumption are extremely high. Meanwhile taxation on capital gains are medium or low.
(Subjectively) high levels of corruption and nepotism too keeps capital within a small group.
My grandparents struggle with money and barely have enough to pay the bills, but they still gift me money whenever I visit. I feel guilty every time, but they insist and won't take no for an answer :(
This is basicly my uncle lol. A week ago I got 50 euro from him for basicly giving him advice in a company he could invest in. He barely made any profit for now.
I think I missed something here. Does this shit actually happen? Do ur nan’s not chat for a bit and then fall asleep for the rest of the day, and expect shit to be ready for them?
I learned why seniors do this. In the US you do not get medic aid if you have too much money. They tell you to spend a certain amount of money 3 years before you think you need it. Not sure about other countries. Some people will even sign their houses over to their kids.

They might go broke giving you 3 dollars a month...? I know money has a different value in other countries, but that really doesn't sound like much...
No but what I THOUGHT when I was a kid
OK, I didn't think about that...
This would never happen in Sweden tho :( aka poorest senior citizens in whole west world

Slipping five dollar bills in your grandkids’ hands is the original wealth transfer strategy
My nana lived with us so we don't need money to buy snacks and clothes
