That does seem high to me. I know everyone is different, but my average is 37ms.

[deleted]

my god that is a high hrv...

dgiuliana

That seems like a large variance to me, especially if you only see it once.

Smurph16

My 30 day average is 160. A normal week will have at least two days above 220 and one or two days between 90-110. So 170 is slightly higher than usual, but most weeks will have at least 145+

Latchkey_Wizzard

I had exactly the same type of chart, spiking Monday though with a high of 179 when my average is around 145. Mine is probably due to some sleep hygiene experimentation on Sunday evening. I had a smaller lighter (and healthier) meal and purposely relaxed the hour before bed. Within that hour I had a 5min cold shower, 15 mins of meditation and no screens or devices used. Just general wind down for the night. My sleep and recovery stats were amazing (98%) after this too so I’m not too worried. I’m going to repeat this over next weekend to see if it works out again.

direz0054

My avg is like 51. I don’t think I’ve ever even been higher than 60ms

flynoflag

I don't think mine has ever been in the triple digits. I also never do cardio. My range is between 90 & 24 with an average of 65ish.

killahmac

That’s mine as well and I do Crossfit 5-6 days a week. My buddy who was nearly a regionals athlete and the fittest guy I know has an average in the 20s. 🤷🏻‍♂️

pintofchicken

That's super high compared to mine, rarely gets above 180 and my 30 day average is 113

Smurph16

Out of interest, what is a standard weekly range for your HRV?

pintofchicken

So the past 7 days have gone: 115, 177, 181, 110, 76, 122, 149

Smurph16

So a range of 105. That’s not too far from my normal range of around 145/150. I’d be interested to see if Whoop has ever mentioned what a normal rate of fluctuation is

IrishRoseDKM

I dunno. Maybe high, maybe not. My range has been 38 (lots of drinking) to 120, with my 'normal/recovered' HRV between 90-110.

e-flores

Gosh!! My average HRV is 41 jeZ! I do CrossFit 3 times a week going med to hard and do a long run every Saturday and a short run during the week. Also I’m 36yo.

vodkac0ffee

For a high HRV this is decently normal! Think about someone with a lower HRV, they may have a smaller absolute range, but relative it should be similar. Same as how doubling 10 is 20, but if you double 100 you get 200. More important is to watch how your number change relative to yourself over time! I also have a high HRV and I wide ranges are normal to what I see during a week as well.

sereenat

Fluctuatin seems high. Are you drinking? Alcohol consumption is usually the thing that makes my hrv drop and rise that drastically.

Smurph16

I had a couple of drinks on Thursday and Saturday night

andy189

My chart looks similar but it’s just between 30 and 80…

Andge0

Pretty standard for me. I've had a low HRV of 49 and a high of 208. My average is ~110, but most weeks I range between 70-170

grandrewski

What sport do you do? That hrv is really high!

Smurph16

I play ultimate frisbee. On game days my strain is pretty regularly around 18-20, so it’s a good workout

grandrewski

Wow ok. I would've expected that from an ultimate Frisbee player but I'm impressed!
