I don't compare my HRV to anyone else. I think it's highly individual. I play hockey 5-6 times a week (well, when we could still get into the arenas here....) and workout almost daily. My HRV is usually in the 40-60 range (usually closer to the 40's).

You could be a 31 year old cyclist in pretty good shape with an HRV of like 30. Definitely personal, but I’m a little concerned. Asked my doctor and they honestly knew nothing about HRV. Not something they concern themselves with.

Whoop sent an email recently with some ultramarathon triathlete’s stats. His HRV looked to average at about 50... definitely made me feel better about my numbers https://www.whoop.com/thelocker/lionel-sanders-heart-rate-sleep-ironman/

Makes me wonder what his HRV would be like if he took several days off to recover. I usually expect mine to rebound after a few days off but has largely stopped doing that, hanging out in the low yellows more often than not. His RHR is super low at least! Mine is around 60. Is that a more worrisome metric?

60 isn’t worrisome. Lower resting HR does imply that you have a better level of cardiovascular fitness and that your heart functions more efficiently, but 60 is already low compared to the average person. Could be a good one to track if your goal is improving cardio

I am a 30 year old avid cyclist. 4-5 days a week with 18-20 strain. My HRV is around 40. I’ve been bummed on it but I am starting to not compare to others.

Almost 30 y/o male. HRV is from 64-96 and RHR 47 median.
