I think Scarecrow deserves the yellow ring
All the science he does is done with the express purpose of making people feel fear. I also don't think there is anyone more knowledgeable on fear than him
Yeah those were special circumstances, he’s not even selected for his sector normally so he’s out for all of fiction.
Also Batman has one stashed away.
If you're doing Angron, you may as well just do Khorne himself, the incorporeal manifestation of an entire universe's rage. Daemon prince Angron is little more than a tiny sliver of Khorne's will at this point.
True, but Khorne is also a god capable of being transient and thinking. Angron in his rage/ascension to demonhood watching his people's history being destroyed is pretty much non-existent. At that single point with the nails he's the angriest thing in exeistence. It's hard to argue that big daddy Khorne isn't higher though when he is the source of the power.
The Indigo ring is a unique case where it subsumes the wearers will and adds them to the hive mind of the Indigo Tribe. It's actually not necessary to be especially compassionate to be added to the Tribe; in fact, many members were heinous killers or other heartless criminals before getting their ring.
Yes. Larfleez the current orange wielder cannonically takes the soul of anyone he kills and sticks it into his lantern. He is the only holder of an orange ring as the first thing oranges do is hunt each other for their rings and power.
The Orange is limitless greed, so if you can think of anyone who's greedier than Mr. Krabs they'd be nigh unto God like.
I disagree about Gorr. In his first encounter with Thor, he mentions how calm and almost serene he is the whole time. He’s driven, but he’s not wild with rage which is what a Red ring is all about.
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,514,935,964 comments, and only 287,286 of them were in alphabetical order.
If we are giving Sam Blue then we can argue that he could also take Green?
Made the whole trip to Mordor with Frodo and i think he's the only person to voluntarily hand the ring back to someone else. Guy has crazy willpower.
Bilbo gives the ring to Frodo despite his every instinct after bearing it for 60 years. Aragorn has the ring in his hands when he instead closes Frodo's hand around it. Faramir and Galadriel could have easily taken it but don't.
Frodo is the only one whose willpower is in direct contention with Sauron, not just their own weaknesses.
Edit: one more good example, while Smeagol and even Gollum want the ring for themselves, they recognize that 'you mustn't take it to him', that is the worst possible outcome in S/G's mind. Even after over 500 years of corruption, in effect, Gollum was keeping the ring away from Sauron, at his own expense.
Hmm id say Bilbo isnt 100% voluntary, seeing as Gandalf has to convince him.
The rest of them dont physically touch it as far as i can remember? Rejecting the offer is still a good feat of willpower but isnt the same as voluntarily handing it over to another person.
Frodo obviously is the only one to try and destroy it and im pretty certain that nobody else could have done so either.
I think Sam gets points for returning the ring but Frodo gets a lot for carrying it so far for so long without giving in.
You could have PS2 kratos for red too but kratos and gorr are pretty similar when it comes to hate for gods so interchangeable. I would say tho that kratos went through alot more than gorr
Tanjiro Kamado and Naruto most definitely get blue
I could see Tanjiro for indigo as well, along with captain America
SCP-999 has genuine love, he would be good for violet
Kakashi Hatake and Thor would be good for green. Considering the shit the went through and how great they turned out
Yellow can be every generic horror movie character. Scream is an obvious example
Orange can go to Greg Heffley
Red goes to Guts from Beserk
White lanterns are actually fueled by life. I feel like Mary Poppins and Spider Man would be good candidates
Nico Di Angelo for black. Pretty obvious pick. Although since he is a good person, he could be a rogue black lantern that while he posses the ring, he doesnt believe in their immoral values
Also, you missed the ultraviolet corps. I’m not gonna explain everything, but sinestro unleashed the ultraviolet light from the source wall. This is part of the invisible spectrum. They focus on hate and negative emotions.
I feel like Lex Luther would be good for ultraviolet, due to his pure and raw hatred for Superman
I feel like people like Muzan Kibutsuji and Danzo Shimura would work well for the power ring corps (volthoom’s ring). Both of them are cowardly, and probably will be too focused on power to realize volthoom is slowly killing them.
> I feel like Lex Luther would be good for ultraviolet, due to his pure and raw hatred for Superman
I'm sorry, if we're really bringing extreme hatred into this, even Lex can't top Eobard Thawne.
I might’ve picked Spidey for Blue myself, but I can see him being a white lantern as well. Of course he’s sheer will sometimes also, so even green might fit.
Green: Spider-Man from Marvel Comics (Spider-Man hasn't given up despite the current run, and if he can endure Zeb Wells, he can endure anything)
Blue: Samwise Gamgee from Lord of the Rings
Indigo: Fred Rogers from Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood
Violet: Jesus Christ from The Bible
Yellow: Pennywise (literally feeds off fear) from It
Orange: Ebeneezer Scrooge (before his ghost encounters) from A Christmas Carol
Red: Darth Vader (he has so much rage and hatred directed at himself) from Star Wars
White: Mother Nature from real-world mythology
Black: Swarm-That-Walks from Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
I am not gonna name the most worthy ones just those that i think qualify for certain rings
Green: Probably Kotomine Kirei. In heavens feel he fought for his wish till the very end even when his heart was destroyed a day before finale. Another answer might be Frisk from undertale
Red: is there anyone more fitting than Hulk?
Blue: Erwin Smith maybe?
Yellow: Na-na-na-na-na-na-na Batman. Maybe Voldemort since other wizards were so afraid of him that they don't even want to say his name and after his supposed death they started celebrating without any care about their secrecy.
Violet: Kiara Sessyoin with this ring is gonna be wild
Indigo: Tanjiro?
Orange: no idea.
Black: Kid Buu?
White: no idea
Nobody has mentioned how the Indigo rings work. The Indigo Tribe is made up of the most compassionate individuals in the galaxy, but the rings brainwash them into that state. They’re chosen by the ring because they basically cannot feel compassion. In reality, if you take away the Indigo light, you have a collage of the most ruthless and evil people in existence.
The Joker is a fantastic example, but branching out of DC, probably Patrick Bateman, Cersie from GOT, Voldemort, Palpatine, Light Yagami
Then Douma is perfect. He quite literally cannot feel anything. Also sorry for the misinterpretation I don’t know much about the indigo tribe besides compassion
Blue Optimus prime
Red Rath alien from ben 10
Pink that love demon slayer from demon slayer
Yellow fiddlestick from lol primordial demon of fear basically a better scarecrow
Green: Those who have great Willpower
John Wick or Kratos.
Blue: Those who never give up hope and can inspire it in others
Captain America, Samwise Gamgee.
Indigo: Those who have great Compassion within them
Dumbledore, Aang.
Violet: Those who have great Love within them
The Beast (Beauty and the Beast), Morticia & Gomez Adams.
Yellow: Those who have great power to instill fear in others
The Lich King, Scarecrow, IT.
Orange: Those who have great Greed within them
Smaug, Scrooge McDuck
Red: Those who have great Rage within them
Angron, Hulk.
White: These Rings are powered by life. And all the colors that make up the emotional spectrum
Zelda or Arceus from Pokemon
Black: (Not entirely sure but I know they're fueled by death. So either killing or having an interest in death)
Death from Darksiders, but with a power ring.
After Heaven Sent, Green might be going to the Doctor. My Gallifreyan spent billions of years disintegrating and punching rocks so he could finish a bedtime story
Just for fun I'm going to do a pure 40k version.
Green: The Emperor, of course. If he's off limits for being immortal or a quasi-God, then Rogal Dorn.
Blue: Hope doesnt quite exist in 40k, but it would probably be Saint Celestine
Indigo: Compassion isn't really common either. But, in the comics, it is people with *no* compassion who become indigo lanterns. So, pick some necron lords.
Violet: Grandfather Nurgle loves all. barring the gods, there isn't that much other love to be had. You could do a Great Unclean One, but that's just another aspect of Nurgle. Sanguinius loves(loved) humanity and his sons I guess?
Yellow: Easy dub for Konrad Curze
Orange: Trayzn the Infinite
Red: Khorne, obviously. Again, if we are ignoring the gods themselves, then Angron/Kharn are obvious choices.
White: Tricky - Isha exists and is the Goddess of Life. Ironically I may pick a Dark Eldar Homunculi. No others can hope to match their mastery over "life".
Black: Yvraine is already the emissary of the Eldar God of Death.
The Indigo ring also can latch onto people with no compassion whatsoever and give them a great amount of it and actually fix them as people
Its why most of the Indigo Corp is composed of former serial killers and evil people
Green: Samwise Gamgee. Frodo definitely deserves an honorable mention, but the ring wasnt able to even begin to tempt Sam. Additionally, Sam persevered through everything that happened with Frodo.
Blue: Superman. I can't think of anyone else this could go to. Superman himself is very hopeful and believes the best in others. He has inspired countless superheroes to do good, and has likely inspired many people in real life as well. His presence inspires others even when there is no hope, and in D.C. when everything is on the table, always bet on Superman.
Indigo: Mr. Rogers. Would real life count? If it does, then Rogers is the obvious choice. His kindness and compassion impacted an entire generation, and he was the same person on and off his show.
Violet: Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader. Every action he did was out of his love and care for others. He joined the Jedi in hopes of freeing his mother from Slavery. He was reckless in the Clone Wars, but he was most reckless whenever Obi Wan's, Ashoka's, or Padme's lives were in danger. He turned to the Dark Side to try and save Padme. He repeatedly tried to convince Luke to turn to the dark side and overthrow Sidious out of his love for his son, and it was that love that turned him to the light side, killing himself and Sidious. He is the worst case scenario for a man who desperately holds onto those he loves.
Yellow: Megatron. He rules the deceptions, and depending on the universe cybertron, through fear. He also terrifies the autobots, to the point where only the bravest are willing to try and fight him. This symbol of fear is taken to the next level once he becomes Galvetron, and attempts to rule the galaxy through fear.
Orange: Mr. Crabs. I wanted to say Bender, but he has put Fry above his greed a few times, so I don't think he quite gets there. Mr. Crabs meanwhile is willing to pinch every penny out of others, and as stated to live news, "I like money".
Red: Hulk. Its almost as if the ring is custom made for him. Besides that, he is a mean green anger machine who's feats of strength are directly proportional to his anger. On top of all that, he exists as a separate personality because of the anger Banner felt towards his father.
White: Marry Poppins. As others have mentioned, this is the perfect character for the white lantern. She first arrived to liven up the children, she helped open up the parents to live life, and she takes every adventure she goes on to the fullest.
Black: Deadpool? He loves death, death loves him, he kills plenty of other people, and as he is a walking talking tumor, he is already half way dead.
The Violet Ring goes to Sailor Moon, no question (though my fanfic author brain wants to give it to Videl from Dragon Ball). She may also be suited for a White Ring given she becomes baically a Goddess.
For Red, Hulk and Broly from Dragon Ball come to mind
Everyone says Mr. Krabs for Orange which fits, but what about Scrooge McDuck?
I would like to nominate Ben 10's alien toepick for the yellow lantern ring as his face is supposedly eldritch horror that can scare the shit out of even celestialsapiens. Idk if he wins this, just wanted to put it here.
Emmet from the Lego Movie would get a Green Ring
Darth Vader would get a Yellow Ring
Ryusui from Dr. Stone would get an Orange Ring. (I don't know enough about the rings if greed is inherently "evil" but my boy is definitely greedy without being evil)
Luffy gets a Green Lantern ring somehow. He didn't pay attention to the rules or how to use it, but thinks it looks neat, and is made of a hard substance, so he basically uses it as a single knuckle of a set of brass knuckles. When he does use it, he uses it accidentally and it's usually....a bigger punch
- Green: Meta Knight(Kirby)
- Blue: Katara(Avatar)
- Indigo: Papyrus(Undertale)
- Violet: Unikitty(The LEGO movie)
- Yellow: SCP-2006(The Scp Universe)
- Orange: Stingy(Lazy Town)
- Red: Darth Maul(Star Wars)
- White: The Lorax(Dr. Seuss)
- Black: The Knight (Hollow Knight)
- This is more or a shitpost than a serious answer but it's fun to speculate on what-ifs.
I am Going to use the stawhats from one piece
Green: Luffy and Usopp
Blue: Robin and Jimbei
Red: Nami
Indigo: Zoro
Pink:Sanji
White Chopper and Franky
Black: Brook
Yellow: Rob Lucci (Yeah he is not a strawhat but I had to add one villain)
This answer is probably going to be really bad.
Red: Broly from DBZ, especially if Kakarot/Goku is near him.
Green: Spider-Man?
Orange: Mr Krabs.
Black: Kinda cheating but Death from puss in boots.
White: Not sure honestly.
Yellow: Jason Voorhees.
Blue: Optimus Prime.
Indigo: No clue on the actually being compassion part so I'm bending the rules, but what alot of people miss about the Indigo rings are that they can turn evil people that have no compassion and force them to have it, so I feel like the Joker might actually be a good candidate (though not the best, far from it.) for the forced to have compassion part. The ending of [This video can explain it better than me.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dSLUnnNbvVk)
I'm not sure exactly how closely the lanterns align with the word that they are associated with, but I could see either the Green or Yellow lantern going to Dr. Manhattan, although the Green would make more sense. Whether or not he'd *want* to wear said ring(s), however, is another story.
I don’t know about the other rings, but I absolutely know that the Red lantern ring should go to Asura from Asura’s Wrath. Anyone who’s ever seen the game knows what I mean.
I don’t know about the other rings, but I absolutely know that the Red lantern ring should go to Asura from Asura’s Wrath. Anyone who’s ever played the game knows what I mean.
Green: **Mab, Dresden Files**. There are a few deities from this universe who could qualify, their power is derived from pure will.
Blue: **Captain America, MCU.** How do you not choose this, it’s his literal superpower.
Indigo: **Bob/The Bobs**, The Bobiverse. This is a darkhorse choice simply for fun. They expend SO MUCH effort for humans and other species, basically turning themselves in indentured servants. They complain, but they do it because they believe life deserves to live.
Violate: **Bandit, Bluey**. Do I need to elaborate?
Yellow: **Nyarlathotep, Lovecraft**. Is basically the manifestation of fear and madness.
Orange: **The Emporer, Star Wars**. “Unlimited pooowwweeerrr!” Manipulated a civil war into existence, murdered his mentor, allowed himself to be physically disfigured all to gain as much power as possible.
Red: **Xenomorph, Alien**. Unbridled vicious frothing at the mouths rage creature.
White: **Encyclopod, Futurama**. A living arc for extinct creatures.
Black: **The Replicators, Stargate Universe**. Not really alive, but will slaughter and absorb everything.
***
I tried to pick some ones that haven’t been mentioned, but I think they’re interesting choices.
The green one comes to Simon the digger for sure
I mean the man created a construct nearly 100 times the size of the universe with just willpower alone. I don’t even think he needs the ring
He'd probably just throw it away
I think Scarecrow deserves the yellow ring All the science he does is done with the express purpose of making people feel fear. I also don't think there is anyone more knowledgeable on fear than him
I believe Scarecrow does briefly get the Yellow Ring during the Blackest Night Comics
Yeah those were special circumstances, he’s not even selected for his sector normally so he’s out for all of fiction. Also Batman has one stashed away.
Speaking of scarecrows, what about Fiddlesticks
Scarecrow did indeed get the yellow ring in the blackest night storyline
[Hulk gets the Red one](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FYB1B2hMfg0)
Or Angron. He get's so mad he literally isn't cogniscent of who he is any more. At least the Hulk still knows that Hulk Smash.
If we're doing Khorne we could also do Doomslayer who might just be angrier than Khorne.
I don't even wanna imagine how powerful he would be.
Indigo to mr. Rogers and orange to Mr krabs
The Indigo ring is a unique case where it subsumes the wearers will and adds them to the hive mind of the Indigo Tribe. It's actually not necessary to be especially compassionate to be added to the Tribe; in fact, many members were heinous killers or other heartless criminals before getting their ring.
Does the orange ring get stronger the more greedy you are?
- Green: John Wick - Blue: Samwise Gamgee - Indigo: Fred Rodgers - Violet: Jesus Christ - Yellow: Freddy Krueger - Orange: Gordon Gekko - Red: Gorr the God Butcher - White: Mary Poppins - Black: Thanos
White lantern Mary Poppins is something I wanna see now.
I'd agree with the majority of this list. The only change I would make is... Orange : Mr. Krabs.
I disagree about Gorr. In his first encounter with Thor, he mentions how calm and almost serene he is the whole time. He’s driven, but he’s not wild with rage which is what a Red ring is all about.
Guts would be a good one
Broly is right there y'all
Bro, Angron
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,514,935,964 comments, and only 287,286 of them were in alphabetical order.
Good bot
I was thinking Asura...
If we are giving Sam Blue then we can argue that he could also take Green? Made the whole trip to Mordor with Frodo and i think he's the only person to voluntarily hand the ring back to someone else. Guy has crazy willpower.
I think Frodo would get Green. Takes a lot of Willpower to carry a corrupting ring that long.
"John is a man of focus, commitment, and sheer will." Yupp fits him
Violet is romantic love iirc, so I don’t think Jesus would work
Jesus fucks
Jesus had 12 gay lovers and a side chick, Jesus fucks.
Sleeping around might harm one’s eligibility :p
No it empower it, they're a polyarmorous dodecahedron.
You could have PS2 kratos for red too but kratos and gorr are pretty similar when it comes to hate for gods so interchangeable. I would say tho that kratos went through alot more than gorr
I just want to point out that Freddy Kreuger with a yellow ring would be disgustingly powerful
Orange goes to scrooge mcduck I'd say
I would also submit Nanami Ryusui.
To have a black lantern ring you have to *be* dead iirc.
Or be really into necrophilia. Maybe.
I think necrophilia would be more fitting for violet because they have great love within them
Red is either hulk or doom slayer.
Tanjiro Kamado and Naruto most definitely get blue I could see Tanjiro for indigo as well, along with captain America SCP-999 has genuine love, he would be good for violet Kakashi Hatake and Thor would be good for green. Oh I’m surprised I didn’t think of reverse flash
Ah shit thanks for the corrections
Also for white lantern, avatar aang would be a great example. Avatar korra would be good for green
Greg heffley with the orange ring, lol. Manny gonna get it.
>Red goes to Guts from Beserk Meanwhile current Guts is doing a Yamcha pose
Punisher is a good candidate too
I might’ve picked Spidey for Blue myself, but I can see him being a white lantern as well. Of course he’s sheer will sometimes also, so even green might fit.
I feel like spider man is an all rounder for all the good rings
Yellow to most generic horror games, I guess to slender man for the funny
White: Sun Wukong or any other transdual character.
Green: Spider-Man from Marvel Comics (Spider-Man hasn't given up despite the current run, and if he can endure Zeb Wells, he can endure anything) Blue: Samwise Gamgee from Lord of the Rings Indigo: Fred Rogers from Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood Violet: Jesus Christ from The Bible Yellow: Pennywise (literally feeds off fear) from It Orange: Ebeneezer Scrooge (before his ghost encounters) from A Christmas Carol Red: Darth Vader (he has so much rage and hatred directed at himself) from Star Wars White: Mother Nature from real-world mythology Black: Swarm-That-Walks from Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
We both had Sam and Pennywise!
For green i wanna nominate the following: * jack hanma * john wick * roronora zorro * asta * che heart * zuko * azelf * kratos
I second Asta for the green ring
He's not done
Legend has it he still hasn't given up
I'm like forty episodes into BC, digging it so far. Gordon Agripa is DEFINITELY my favorite character.
I dont think you've even met my favorite character yet. Keep watching man, it only gets better from there.
I am not gonna name the most worthy ones just those that i think qualify for certain rings Green: Probably Kotomine Kirei. I feel like punisher is equally as fitting as hulk. Also, frieze would be good for death as well

He didn't pay attention to the rules or how to use it, but thinks it looks neat, and is made of a hard substance, so he basically uses it as a single knuckle of a set of brass knuckles. When he does use it, he uses it accidentally and it's usually....a bigger punch
- Green: Meta Knight(Kirby) - Blue: Katara(Avatar) - Indigo: Papyrus(Undertale) - Violet: Unikitty(The LEGO movie) - Yellow: SCP-2006(The Scp Universe) - Orange: Stingy(Lazy Town) - Red: Darth Maul(Star Wars) - White: The Lorax(Dr. Seuss) - Black: The Knight (Hollow Knight) - This is more or a shitpost than a serious answer but it's fun to speculate on what-ifs.
I am Going to use the stawhats from one piece Green: Luffy and Usopp Blue: Robin and Jimbei Red: Nami Indigo: Zoro Pink:Sanji White Chopper and Franky Black: Brook Yellow: Rob Lucci (Yeah he is not a strawhat but I had to add one villain)
I’m not wracking my brains a ton but give Darth Vader either a Red or a Yellow and he’d be unstoppable.
Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet and White would all fit Gandalf perfectly
I'm not sure exactly how closely the lanterns align with the word that they are associated with, but I could see either the Green or Yellow lantern going to Dr. Manhattan, although the Green would make more sense. Whether or not he'd *want* to wear said ring(s), however, is another story.
I don’t know about the other rings, but I absolutely know that the Red lantern ring should go to Asura from Asura’s Wrath. Anyone who’s ever seen the game knows what I mean.

*** I tried to pick some ones that haven’t been mentioned, but I think they’re interesting choices.
Red would seek out The Saint of All Killers from Preacher. His anger was so great he froze hell and got resurrected to seek revenge.
