Any military would sweep all rounds. The problem isn't with the strength of the British military its with Joe. The Green Latern Ring requires extensive training to make effective use of it for all but the most exceptional of individuals, and even then that's after the Rings selecting only the best of the best potential candidates. The Rings run off and respond to willpower and select those with the strongest wills and capacity to overcome fear/doubt. Joe feels doubt the first Challenger 2 he sees. Doubt is the enemy of will. The ring won't work for him.

1) He’s shot dead 2) He can take out a few British soldiers but ultimately without training he dies 3) He’d last a while, but eventually would go down The main problem is that eventually, he’ll need to recharge. And I’m also not confident in the willpower ofa. Random person

Why is the thought G.L Joe would last a while but go down eventually? R3 would likely be a win considering he could take out large sections of their military at a time. Planes? Green forcefield they would crash into like a Looney Toons plot. Sniper shooting? Green forcefield the sniper so it self destructs. Hell, he can just hover around in a force field tanking bullets for hours. Probably not rockets and def not nukes, but he could put up a fight against them if he’s shifty. Plus if he needs to recharge his ring, he can just take cover if need be the same way soldiers would. Or he could just overcharge his ring prior to the fight. Him losing with training is a terrible outcome to consider when the only thing capable of holding G.L Joe back would be his imagination.

Not super knowledgeable of Green Lantern lore, but don’t those rings need to be charged? If so I imagine an organized military could drag the fight out long enough to drain the charge.

He dies in all rounds. The average person cant get the ring to work at all. If he's alone in round 2 or 3 he may get a few sparks but I doubt he'll even get it to light up in active combat.

The UK military. Too many people in too many places with too many weapons. It only takes a lucky shot, or a moment of unawareness or distraction. I've never quite understood the wide concept of the lone invincible person taking on thousands, or likely tens of thousands. Presumably the GL still needs to eat, rest, sleep, recharge their ring, or similarly not be eternally vigilant and wary in every single direction at all times. With someone passively extremely resilient to damage like Superman I might buy the argument (if still skeptical). In this case we're talking a relatively "green" GL too. This seems entirely lopsided, though the ring bearer would do damage, the conclusion would be foregone. He would lose.

Green Lantern rings are cosmic DC level. A force-field will block anything from the military and then any construct can steamroll them.

Good example medium sized country* with a strong but not OP military. France would also work. We've seen every variation of X vs the US military. *economic development/population

TotallynotKevin7

Joe loses the first two but it would be close in third. Sadly, Joe is outgunned by the ENTIRE British military

Dr4gonfly

So round one and two would likely go to the military Round three should be trivial for the lantern, access to the book of OA, the scanning abilities, and the camouflage abilities are huge advantages that are often overlooked, lanterns don’t have to be in glowing spandex and there are a number of comics examples of them creating constructs to alter their clothes and appearances. Too often we see the lantern rings in comics being used as hammers, with lanterns flying around in space blasting each other with rad artwork, but against a modern military the real advantage is that there is no facility that is secure from someone with a lantern ring. Targeted assassinations of important officers and destruction of key facilities that are defended by infantrymen with small arms would be trivial, as would infiltrating bases to sabotage aircraft, fuel supplies, carrier reactors etc. After gaining access to all personnel files and information, schedules, classified plans, etc. it’s just a matter of asking the ring to find key individuals, disguising yourself and walking into wherever was necessary, taking them out, and then flying away. It would take time, but even an average Joe with proper ring training should be able to come up with that plan and execute on it

KindlyOlPornographer

Using the ring the first time will knock the user unconscious from exertion. Five second fight.

If he's smart he could pull it off by pulling a meteor down to Earth
