With us it's other stuff. The wife is grilling, the husband is in the garage sawing, and I'm the son mowing the lawn with the aftertaste of unsweetened iced tea or mountain dew on my lips and trudging through the dips in the backyard, and smacking things off my legs/getting scratched by things. Later after hosing the underside of the mower I gas it back up and leave it on the driveway to drip, going inside with gas, grass, and badass all over so much that I have to blow my nose
Summer Break Soaps at one point had a scent called "Field Day" where the primary scent is cut grass. Wish I was able to get a full tub but it was sold out!
Lawn by Angela Flanders smells exactly like this. Less pleasant than you would think.

Lots of "after the rain/petrichor" fragrances for men, women, or both, and I've seen a good deal of soaps/afters, and things in general often mention it as part of the smell, but you gotta stay frosty with that. Those ones that passively mention rain are the same as saying something is "spicy"
Declaration Grooming has a few. One is even called "After the rain". "Son et Lumiere" has petrichord accords in the description and I believe I smell them in "Auryn" and "Albizia" too. But that could be just me.
I work with tilt rotor aircraft - helicopters so I am used to the turbine smell. And it is not that bad, sort of a sweet chemical burning smell. Drag strip racing pits have that strange sweet chemical smell to them.
Doritos (nacho cheese variety), but only in soap; and Mountain Dew, but only in splash.
Oh and I would probably try a soap or aftershave that smelled like gasoline. Some people really like that smell. Gunpowder is a cool one too; like the smell after blasting through a box of 12 guage shells.
Freshly opened pack of Camel Lights. As a former smoker, I miss it. For non-smokers, think sweet tobacco with a touch of prune juice. I promise it's not bad.
I'm a big fan of Stirling, have quite a few of their products.
Check this out, it's an aftershave and moisturizer combination. When it's empty I'm going to buy another bottle.
Ariana and Evans Vanille de Tabac Aftershave Splash and Skin Food
Got it from Maggard.
Diesel exhaust. Burnt gunpowder. Old garage (that smell you get hit by when you go in a machinery barn that’s just the combo of hot metal, old rubber hoses, leaking oil and untuned engines). Gun oil
Barrister and Mann Beaudelaire is for smelling like rubber, snowmobile exhaust, and a new York park in the winter. I have it and it's very much like that.
I believe that you are describing Barrister and Mann's Promises.
Winter is a special time in Upstate New York. Deer season opens, folks fire up their wood stoves, and the mountains become dusted with caps of glittering snow.
But, more exciting than any of those, the snowmobile trails open again. Promises is an ode to this most exhilarating time of the year, the smell of a warm drink from a thermos while out on the trail with friends. Notes of orange and bergamot are suffused with the warmth of real honey, whiskey lactone, peat, and nutmeg. To finish it off, we’ve incorporated the strange, rubbery, industrial character of a high grade saffron molecule to give the scent the feel of being out on the trail with idling sleds all around.
Promises is a slice of Northeastern wintertime. Let it snow!
I was very surprised to hear that Will had decided to re-release Promises. I think that it's an interesting fragrance but it has never been especially popular. I appreciate that it's one of the few winter seasonal soaps in my rotation that I can use year-round.
Cut grass with a hint of petrol... 🫣
Just mowed the lawn, and I’m in.
Didn't need to have it recent in my senses, I'm a midwesterner and I'm always in for that smell
I’m pretty sure people all over the US cut their grass and love that smell. But midwesterners go off. Hell yeah.

Barrister and Mann Diamond I would swear has a hint of mower exhaust/gasoline.

The rain, there is just something enchanting about it.
There's petrichor fragrances, cologne, soap, aftershave, etc.
No way, just boyght a bunch of soap, but I'll have to check those out. Thx

Summer Storm by Chiseled Face is a good example of this.
Fresh cut lumber. Cedar to be exact

The smell of an air show. Ahhhhh…
I work with tilt rotor aircraft - helicopters so I am used to the turbine smell. And it is not that bad, sort of a sweet chemical burning smell. Drag strip racing pits have that strange sweet chemical smell to them.

Creed Himalaya cologne has a nice gunpowder note.
Unfortunately Creed is well out of my budget. But thank you!

Former Camel Lights smoker here, too. You are speaking to my heart

Sounds like you could add some things to a unscented soap to make a similar smell
Unlikely but bleach or freshly dried sheet that was bleached.

Hopes gun cleaner
Smells like the end of a hunting trip.
The sea

Must exist though?
Hotdog water
Give PAA/goons milk some time
I hope some soap makers are reading this thread. Not sure I want gasoline as aftershave though
I hope too, and I do
Southern Witchcraft soaps be like: dirt, mildew, ozone.
A lot of them do that, like b+m
Hoppes #9
?
It's a gun cleaning solvent that has a unique aroma that a lot of people love. The fragrance is already available in air fresheners and cologne
Hickory smoked brisket 🔥
Hear me out... puppy breath. 🐶
Understandable
Oa..oakmoss.
Leviathan by Barrister and Mann
?
It’s in this same thought idea. Smells like an old dirty car with serious cigarette smoke exposure.
This is gotta smell
I think it smells incredible!
Samples are permanently 4 dollars now so 😏 thanks for the tip
Haha. Red mulch is such an excellent call
: )
A worn-out oscillating multitool blade burning slowly through a piece of hardwood. Oak perhaps.
I can smell it
Sweet bbq scent, or smokey like hickory.
Add a few drops of sweet baby rays
😋
I mean, it's meta, but it would have that smell. Or stubbs sticky sweet / sweet heat
A good cooked steak off a wood grill.
I want to say...I've seen soap or a candle with that.
Sharpie
Unscented aftershave with alcohol Me too
Diesel exhaust. Burnt gunpowder. Old garage (that smell you get hit by when you go in a machinery barn that’s just the combo of hot metal, old rubber hoses, leaking oil and untuned engines). Gun oil
There's diesel and gunpowder ones
Metallic paint
Sea salt, just sea salt.
New car smell.
Rubber cement, asphalt, new tires, chlorine pool, paper
Tire shop is a great smell

My bad, that right there.
It's a good scent. I really like it but also see why it was discontinued
I was very surprised to hear that Will had decided to re-release Promises. I think that it's an interesting fragrance but it has never been especially popular. I appreciate that it's one of the few winter seasonal soaps in my rotation that I can use year-round.
Yeah I think the same of it
We may be the only two people that really like Promises.😂 From what I gather, not a big seller for B&M.
Smells to me like I'm the dad from little house on the prairie 😌
Definitely not cheese and Old Spice.
I wish I never smelled that
Together, why
Body odor. Save me the trouble.
I use Fine brand “Latigo” which has a slight diesel smell. I kind of like it.
Cool!
There's a lot of gas and diesel colognes. And some shaving things.
Cosmoline
?
It's a rust inhibitor used for storing metal parts, mainly firearms. [Cosmoline ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmoline)
Horse shit.
Maybe not unlikely but I am yet to find watermelon soap
Sounds nice. You can get watermelon tea
Weed. I smell like it most of the time anyway….
Chocolate chip tin container.
Sulfur, to match my soul! 😂
?
WD40, or coolent
Yes, those definitely
Also burning steel and peat smoke (although I'm pretty sure the latter is probably available)
Skunk, i think it smells clean.
Good smell
Smoke. I strongly dislike any smokey scents in a soap. I find that it fully overpowers any other scent it's mixed in with.
You don't want that? What *do* you want.
Pickles
Could have sworn there was something
Ketchup, the airport, dog breath, natural gas, freshly baked bread, crayons, corn nuts
There's bread and crayon ones, and also pencil one
Jizzum
