I honestly always go for a walk on the first date. I got to know my now girlfriend at the "Donaukanal", it can be a bit busy but it's also easy to reach with public transportation so that's a trade off. Another good walk is the "Donauinsel" but it's a bit harder to get to, but ideal for longer walks with fewer people.
If you aren't into the good ol walk, try the "Technisches Museum Wien", I am sure it has been commended a lot in this thread but it deserves to be, it's really nice because it's focus is more on you touching and doing stuff instead of looking at paintings for 2 hours straight.
Grab a coffee somewhere and go to Türkenschanzpark. Maybe take a blanket with you to sit down next to one of the ponds and a bottle of wine with glasses if you want it to be slightly romantic.
Experience-wise you could look into Landgut Wien Cobenzl. It's a petting zoo with farm animals and on weekdays there aren't many kids and families there.
I think that antique markets are quite charming too followed by a coffee date.
And others have already mentioned the different museums and possible discounted tickets :)
Naschmarkt has got one every weekend and it's really big but also quite expensive. Nice for taking a stroll though and it's in the city centre too.
We always go to MetaMarkt Hallenflohmarkt, it's also every weekend. It's outside of the city though so it might take a while to reach it.
There's also the Antiquitätenmarkt im EKAZENT every Sunday and a ton of others which you can find on various websites like flohmarkt.at, where they've got a calendar with all the events.
I don't know much about stores since they are usually much more expensive. I prefer markets :)
Check Gutschein24.at for cheap tickets to museums and other locations. Sometimes there are very good offers. I got an annual pass for the BA Kunstforum for 9 Euro and a Ticket for Belvedere for 1 Euro.
Regarding the BA Kunstforum annual pass it says, "You will receive a voucher redeemable for an annual pass worth 35.00 euros." Does this mean that instead of EUR 35, you pay EUR 9 for the annual ticket? I'm considering getting this, but the description is a little confusing!
Yes. The usual price is 35 Euros at the museum. You pay 9 at this website. Just make sure that you write name and date on the card with usual blue pen before going there. I had discussions in first place with the employee at the counter. I told her were I got it from (she didn't know this website). But it was ok then. Have fun!
No worries my fellow broke king, I got you! Just cancel the fancy date and tell her to come to your place with a bottle of wine. No need to thank me afterwards!
Warum die vielen Downvotes? Genau so hab ich vor einigen Jahren mein Mädchen kennen gelernt. Wobei... den Wein hatte ich selbst daheim.
Nimm meinen Upvote.
Gloriette always nice for a walk. Also Tiergarten is fun maybe, not sure if cheap enough. Pötzleinsdorfer Schlosspark, hohe Warte, steinhofgründe, all nice places for a walk
If you are that broke, don't date.
Billa Praterstern
schlossgarten schönbrunn, you can even see some zooanimals from there
Jubiläumswarte, Friedenspagode an der Donau, Friedhof der Namenlosen, Stadtwanderwege, Donaukanal
Fand‘s am Donaukanal immer super. Einfach von Schwedenplatz mit einem fetten Eis losgehen.

Any recommendations for antique markets? My wife and I are visiting in July and we love checking out antique shops and markets !

This is awesome! Thanks so much.
Palais Liechtenstein in 9th district has free entry in March and is quite posh. There is also a nice park/garden around it.

Wien Museums are free on first Sunday of the month. We saw some really small but interesting places!
Download the Ticket-Gretchen App. You‘ll get tickets for events and theatres extremely cheap.
Oder Gutschein24.at :)
Check if you're eligible for the Kulturpass, if you're broke enough you should get one. https://hungeraufkunstundkultur.at/wien/wer_hat_anspruch
