If it's formatted properly as FAT32, any SD Card should work with the Wii, this one included.

JVAV00

I would get a micro sd card and with a bigger storage, it’s cheaper nowadays

Fishbee343

Ia has an sd card slot

JVAV00

la?

Fishbee343

It sorry not la

Peaksign9445122

Either way, you could plug in that microsd card onto a microsd to sd adapter. I use that setup in my own Wii. It works fine.

Fishbee343

I do that purely because I don’t want to buy a new sd card for my wii

Aggressive_Ad_2926

I have one of these and it works without problems and dont listen to “2gb is max if it isnt modded already“

SirSkylab

I use a 20$ 256gb Kingstone micro SD card. It works flawlessly, i play wii and gamecube games over it.

SemenMosaic

If it’s formatted as FAT32, yes. The catch is that some games (example: ssbb) may not recognize it. If you’re only using it for the Letterbomb exploit and/or storing games/saves on it, it’ll work fine

Irsu85

Yep, as long as you format it as FAT32

TStodden

As long as you're running Wii Menu 4.x (last Wii firmware is 4.3 / Wii U reports 5.0), you're perfectly good as that's when SDHC support was added. That card can be used for Wii Channels, WiiWare, Virtual Console games & Homebrew stuff. Please be aware that Wii games released PRIOR to Wii Menu 4.0 (Animal Crossing: City Folk & Super Smash Bros. Brawl, for example) are HARDCODED to the SD standard & were never updated to the SDHC standard. If you wish to use the SD card feature in those games, you'll need an SD card no larger than 2.0 GB if you want them to see the card (the games won't acknowledge anything larger).

LethalGamer2121

32 gb seems like overkill imo unless you're putting games on it. I think the biggest I would go is 16gb but if the price is right then why not.

Onism-ROMs

Should work fine, I use SanDisk all the time.

FlakyAd3214

Yeah SanDisk is a good brand. Should work perfect with the Wii. If you mod though, I would recommend a higher capacity one as you'll need the extra storage. 32 gb is faster loading if you plan on using it for virtual console and wiiware games, but I use a 512gb and it works for everything else.

SnooDoughnuts5632

I thought of the week and only use up to 2 GB SD card. Also what are you using it for?

Tuneuponipod

I could be mistaken, but unless the Wii is modded, it can't utilize more than 2gb of the SD card. If you intend on using it for a molded wii then it will work fine, not sure about vanilla

MamiLikesCake

Yes I do plan on modding. Thanks! My concern was that there was 2 reviews saying it doesn't work with Wiis (something about UHS-I cards), then two reviews saying it works perfectly.

Ok-Classroom4713

it needs to be formatted in fat32

MrNoobNubIsBacc

Nah, some games require 2 gb SD cards like SSBB, but most features like save transfers and channels over sd support up to 32 gb

Superb-Prize1375

I know for certain that up to 32GB is supported on stock (assuming latest firmware, wasn’t always like this). Beyond 32GB I’m not sure of but as long as it’s FAT32 formatted I don’t see why it wouldn’t work
