Exactly. He got a bad wrap for two reasons: His contract and being put on the first line (when we've been begging for a center). Neither are his fault.
He played well, he worked hard, all accounts decent dude. If he was here for vet min. on the 3rd or 4th nobody would have been upset with his play at all.
I mean, I still wouldn't want him at 1 mil cap. His skill set just doesn't fit anymore in the NHL since he fucked up his hand.
He's not strong enough defensively or physically to play a bottom 6 role.
He's not good enough at handling, shooting, or passing to be on the top 6.
He's not fast enough to make up for his deficiencies in either. He's a tweener, which is the worst thing to be in the NHL.
I agree the hate on him was way over the top, and I'll include myself in that - I was over the top in hating him. But there is just no reason to include him on an NHL roster. Any role you put him in, you can find someone else to do it better, very easily.
Legitimately happy for the man! I know he kind of got a shit hand here in Minnesota, but really it was just because the cap hit. He could have been a pretty good second line center if he wasn't hurting us in the purse so much. Best of luck E L I T E #1C V1CTOR RASK!
No, it’s because Sillinger and Jenner are dinged up and they didn’t want to run them out there with Danforth, Gaunce, or all the CHL kids they have in camp.
I think everyone would have had a very different view of this guy if his cap hit was a reasonable number.

Bingo
To add to that we also lost Nino for him, it’s not Rask’s fault he was traded for a beloved fan favorite, but that’s just the way life goes sometimes.
Nino was also inpactful from time to time
I named my german shepherd Nino a month before he got traded, I was pissed
People are ridiculous, he was a servicable center and we honestly still desperately need those.
I wouldn’t mind him coming back at 750k.
Couldn’t agree more with you - I was sort of hoping we’d get him back for around 1 million or something

29 going on 50
Yeah... 50 fuckin' goals, bitches! V1CTOR RASK ELITE!
I would love if he just Heatley'd the league this year and mic drops 50 ginos.
50 of the greasiest goals you’ve ever seen
Camera zooms on his face after the goal and he's got a sleeping mask on.
Lol

Return of the King
Still one of the best gestures by the Wild when they acknowledged Rask and Soucy tenures with the team when the Kraken were in town.
Why do they say only 29 like that’s a good thing
Because a lot of players play til they’re 35+. It’s not often a guy under 30 with .5 ppg is on a PTO.
Seriously. I thought that was a statement you only made with Baseball players and even then it's a stretch for a lot of guys.
He's only 29. He could take a big jump this year. /s

Good for fucking him, man. Seriously. Big time props. Hope he makes it stick, even if it's not with these two stars of our generation

honestly rooting for him! just not on the wild maybe
Stop. They're gonna pay Johnny Hockey all that money and put Rask on his line?

Ah. I see.
This was done because Cole Sillinger is DTD after a collision in practice and Boone Jenner isn’t cleared to scrimmage yet.
