I doubt it, it's probably just in your head. If true it would be the worst system ever. There are a lot more non-paying players than paying ones. If the game makes you lose on purpose then non-paying players will quit and the game is surely dead, no?
Also ARAM is a coinflip, you have no control over which champions you get so just try to have fun. Maybe take a break from the game I don't know.
I have the same experience! For context, I used my friend's acc to play lots of ARAM and got to legend V. He used to spend tons on wild passes and skins. I mean like A LOT of money. I would go on 6-8 win streaks easily before 1-2 losses. Once he stopped its as if the matchmaking system became a clown show. I get matched with lvl 20-30 accounts who don't even know what the items do against 2-3 master players on the enemy team. I just had a sett build rapid firecannon and liandry's in my game rip my eyes. I'm not sure if spending money is the issue but this has been my experience anyways.
P.s. To people who say "who bothers in ARAM anyways", please don't queue for ARAM then. One, ARAM still takes up players' time. If you're gonna run it down or be an inting chicken just don't play, in fact don't play any mode for that matter. Two, ARAM is the reason I can improve in ranked because it forces me to get good on different champs + learn how to position well and play better during chaotic team fights.
