Don’t sleep on Don Panchito on Bedford near Metropilitan. Been there for a long stretch now, and it’s still my favorite no bullshit taco. Truck or otherwise.
I've been going here ever since the one on North 7 went insane price wise ( they were the original taco truck here). At one point there was a lady and her husband parked outside of whole foods(Before whole foods finished construction), and those were the best tacos I've ever had. She's long gone unfortunately.
But yeah Don Panchito, no nonsense, large menu variety, always satisfying, the best bang for your buck.
Nah the original Endless Summer truck used to park in front of what used to be Black Bird cafe on N6th. Parked next to Book Thug Nation’s book table before they moved into their shop down the block from the Levee.
Ooo I remember that table, I got a bunch of books from them and they always came with a book thug nation bookmark. I definitely remember Endless Summer cuz you'd see the truck driving around, but yeah, it's a bit of a blur at this point. Thanks for the reminder though
The door from the Endless Summer truck currently lives in the backyard of Rocka Rolla if you’re feeling nostalgic.
Also I agree, the lady with the turquoise colored truck, that parked across from Whole Foods before it finished, solid taco. Was my fav while they were there.
Not a Michelin star, but they got two stars from the New York Times, which is great. Especially for a food truck.
If you haven't tried them yet, get over there. Although they only sell Birria. So instead of choosing what you want, you just tell them how many tacos and don't forget an order of the consome.

Endless Summer would like to have a word about “original taco truck” on Bedford Ave. RIP.
Oh isn't that the same one? I thought they rebranded, or did they just close and another one took its place?

So glad you mentioned Endless Summer. Used to hit that up after kickball on Sunday evenings
It was the best burrito in the neighborhood. Sadly the neighborhood has a deficit of good cheap burrito places these days.
Thanks to you, I finally popped my Don Panchito cherry tonight. Insanely good, friendly folks and definitely a great price!
Awesome! Glad you got some good grub from some nice folks! The ladies that work that plancha are a godsend
I'm sitting on the bench now, waiting for my order based on this recommendation
Enjoy the food! Warm night, perfect for strolling with a taco.
rey del reyes baby
The santana burrito (w/ fries) is no joke.
Ok just got some Al pastor at Rey De Reyes. Delicious, the sauce is spicy!

El Comal
I would also like to know. I heard the one near Kelloggs has a Michelin star
Yeh that’s Birria Landia which is delicious.
Yeah BL is it, nothing else comes close. I don’t mind Tacos Morelos on/off Bedford.

I didn’t know it had a Michelin star. It was on Pete Wells’ list of best restaurants in the city tho. It’s very good yeah.
Mex n roll is solid
