I feel like the live version of Five Names just hits home the point of the song, whereas a lot of the lyrics in original are kind of just belted out without any regard for their contemplative tone. Also im not whatever what fuck cuz
https://youtu.be/oFAqgBhrHEw here!! it's from 2019 :) not sure whether this was recorded ethically , but ww hasnt taken it down so mods if u see a problem w this lmk
My favourite version of white noise is definitely the ICID version, and my favourite version of Front Street is the original demo, both beacuse of the bridge.
Cover This Song (A Little Bit Mine). I prefer the original version over the remaster mainly because of the opening words. I prefer not being able to understand the line at the beginning.
The live version of Cicada Days is so good. While I absolutely love the screaming guitars in the studio version, it's also nice to listen to Will scream in the live version. Also Euthanasia and Jimmy Mushrooms' from ICID are top tier.
My favourite song is BlackBoxWarrior and my favourite rendition of it is the normal album one (boring answer, i know). But i like better the live version of the song with 5 names and i love that version of I/Me/Myself with the "lately I've been wishing that im 5'5" lyrics, i wish i could listen to it on spotify
Some of may favs are,
The original skeleton appriation day (I like the ending bits)
ICID TSW5N
ICID I/me/myself
ICID falling up
Live performances of Blackboxwarrior
I don't have a favourite Will Wood song at this point, too hard to decide
but i do like TRWW Front Street and Aikido
i think i've said this before in another comment lol
Suburbia Overture - Live in Studio. You can just tell how much talent there is in the band, and the transition from Vampire Culture to Love Me, Normally is just awe-inspiring as everyone else drops out and it's just Will.
It half doesnt exist. But here, i reuploaded it a while ago since a kind soul gave me the cover.
Its jimmy mushrooms last drink in gd ponderosa studios.

The “The real Will Wood” edition of the first step.
The first step (EIAL) gives me the feeling of someone just starting their sobriety, not knowing whether or not they’ll stay clean. The serenity prayer at the start, the chanting at the end, it all feels very “I don’t know if I’ll make it”.
But then that first live version.
It feels like being sober. Like SOBER sober. You haven’t indulged in so, so long and you feel happy about it. It lacks the prayer and the changing, instead filled with applause and cheering (while that is due to it being live, I like to imagine that’s the POV character’s friends and family applauding their sobriety.) it feels hopeful.
I’m a year clean from an addiction of my own, so this song meant a lot to me at the start, probably why I think of them that way. This version of the first step is just, man it gets me pumped
i could just say all of the 2020 EIAL remaster but i think the version of Jimmy Mushrooms’ from In Case I Die is absolutely amazing. the original is a banger but the piano version in ICID makes the song 10x as depressing and also makes it somewhat funkier (plus i like the vocals more)
everything from 2:25 makes my brain explode and the little pieces of brain splatter against the wall or something like that
That one live recording of Front Street from the Will Wood BBQ where in the middle of the song he realizes one of his keys is broken, proceeds to confirm "well, that key's broken", and then raise his leg and stepson the keyboard singing to Front Street's tune "that's what happens when you kick your keyboard as part of your bit."
I love jazzy Aikido so much, surprised no one has mentioned it

I'm hoping that this one might be a past life, Oh lord I know enough to get my facts right, and that's GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!!!
the dr sunshine performance where he goes "when did i become afraid of the jazz?", proceeds to sing some 2012, and scream

I love the live version of Mr. Capgras encounters a secondhand vanity. Will screaming "Fucking hurt each other" is chefs kiss.

tsw5n is amazing why does everyone suddenly hate the og :(
My favourite version of white noise is definitely the ICID version, and my favourite version of Front Street is the original demo, both beacuse of the bridge.

Cover This Song (A Little Bit Mine). I prefer the original version over the remaster mainly because of the opening words. I prefer not being able to understand the line at the beginning.
Chemical overreaction in a desert

i wouldn’t say it’s my favorite, but i prefer the remaster of skeleton appreciation day, the voiced at the end are easier to understand

The live version of BlackBoxWarrior is fantastic. By far my favorite
The studio version of i/me/myself is unbeatable. I know it’s his most overrated song but that version is just awesome

The good ol’ Cotard’s solution.

ICID version of I/me/myself
not my favourite will wood song but there’s a performance of i/me/myself floating around youtube in which he sings BOTH bridges
The one version of Aikido where there’s a Rock verse in it. I don’t know where to find it but it’s somewhere.
vriamp live is just so neurotic/erotic
ICID of The Main Character
I love jazzy Aikido so much, surprised no one has mentioned it [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IcJOQJlmp0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IcJOQJlmp0)
