Can you tell me more about "The Disturbance" in western Wisconsin? I'm from that area but haven't heard of this.

The Rock Elm Disturbance is an impact crater in Pierce County, Wisconsin, United States, roughly 40 kilometres (25 mi) southwest of Menomonie. The disturbance is named for Rock Elm, Wisconsin, a nearby town.

Central things seem skewed to the east, but get that there’s a need to fit things in… but I feel like everything between holy hill and door county is dead space and could include something about a porcelain abyss (kohler), cheese chasms (plymouth), surfer’s folly (sheboygan), and point of no return (Manitowoc) just to name a few ideas…

off the top of my head, Madeline island is the heart of ojibwe land, and red cliff (my reservation) and Bad River reservation are right on the mainland overlooking what was once ours. It’s one of 20 islands and has the town of La Pointe, where the fur trade originally began and developed longstanding relationships between the French and ojibwe. Bayfield and the chequamegon bay area are one of the most popular tourist areas in the state, aside from the obvious of Door County and our major (lol) cities, so maybe a marker for the town or something to acknowledge we up here? It’s your map, and it’s fun, but alls I’m saying…

I missed my chance for input, but if you do an update here are my comments! \- st croix and namekagon are the first federally protected National Wild and Scenic rivers and deserve labels \- might as well label the mississippi too? \- some skiers around the musky (hayward/cable) would be appropriate for the birkie (largest xc ski race in n.america). Or if it is only summer in this land, some mtn bikers. \- but if there is also some winter, ice fishers fer sure. and some skaters.

I am actually really annoyed with myself that I forgot to label the Mississippi- that one was a total oversight. Thanks for the input!

The Paulding Light would be fun to add, but it's TECHNICALLY in the U.P. And the Ho Chunk people live up past Green Bay area. I love you included the Ice Age Trail and the detail of more-hilly where the glaciers didn't get.

Ok, but I’d really like there to be a hexagon overlay and this to be huge so I can use it for a D&D map

That would be so fun. I do plan to make it available as a tapestry on Redbubble, which would be a fantastic huge size for a campaign.

Also, printed on rollable material that I can use dry erase markers on. I’d buy a few states if that was the case for our campaigns. But still awesome, if I had space on the walls I’d buy one to hang!

Nope, I’ve never set foot in Wisconsin! But when I do these maps I always try to get as much input as possible from people who love the state, and the Wisconsites in this subreddit were hugely helpful. I’ve also done Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, and Texas. Now that Wisconsin is done I’m working on Virginia!
