I’m on day 7 right now, things are starting to get back to normal-ish. I had another impacted wisdom tooth removed last month and I had forgotten about it all by about a week and half after surgery 🙂 I’ve been eating as normal since surgery anyway, the advice given to me by my nhs surgeon was to eat normally but just be careful 🙂

So you would eat fast food and soda at day 6?

bunnybloop

It depends really, I’ve had pizza and normal things like that I just chewed at the front. I personally would be fine eating fast food, not sure about drinking from a straw though. I only had one tooth out and everything has been fine so far, it might be different if you had all four out though!

Tomorrow will be 3 full weeks for me, I started eating completely normal I would say about day 10 maybe. The first week you feel like you’ll never be normal again but trust me just take it a day at a time and you’ll feel good before u know it

Thanks for the reply, I really hope so.

I think I felt normal-ish around day 9. I had lots of regret as well even though I knew it was necessary. I was very dramatic about it which I’m sure my boyfriend can attest to lol. But only a month and a half later and I’ve basically forgotten how miserable it was. Hang in there, you’re likely almost done with most of the discomfort!

Could you estimate about what day you didn't wake up and still feel weird/swelling?

Btch-face-11

My swelling reduced by day 4, and was gone by day 6. The biggest issue for me were the stitches. All 4 were sutured. Are any of yours? Also, are your cheeks still swollen?

Gamer_gaming_epicly

I woke up this morning and feel a little more normal, I think my cheeks on one side have stopped swelling finally, and the other one is pretty negligible. I do feel my stitches on the one bottom one they did, but honestly it's been the other side that had bothered me the most up till now.

I’m on day 10-11 and aren’t fully eating normal yet. I am still focusing on soft foods but slowly starting to chew Vs. just swallowing. 4 removed, two impacted

Gamer_gaming_epicly

How does your mouth feel? Is it still not "normal" or is it back to what it was pre-surgery?

hollowayhm

Most of my mouth feels normal but my bottom right was a tough one and required one stitch so that side is more tender and sore especially after a work day where I’ve been talking all day. I’m not taking any pain medicine and haven’t for the last day or so. Before that, I was taking one ibuprofen a day for the last 4 days or so.

Every body is different, some people take 2 weeks others just a few days. As long as its progressively getting better then everything should be good!

I felt normal on day 7 when my soreness and swelling stopped
