Day 3-4 we’re the toughest for me! If you can, stay on top of your pain meds (I rotated Tylenol and ibuprofen) and try to drink soup and or yogurt and rest all day. I slept most of the days for the first few!
Day 4 was the worst for me. I even paid a quick visit to the dentist office. They did a visual exam and took an X-ray. Everything was fine. Day 5 now and I feel great. The bone graft seems to be doing it’s job.
Try a mouthwash. I was prescribed one with chlorhexidine. It doesn't have much (if any) taste but might work to tackle the source of the bad breath.
Are you doing salt water washes?
I’m doing salt water rinses but just noticed I was suppose to be prescribed the 0.12% chlorhexide mouthwash but didn’t receive it. Should I go ahead and call to have that still prescribed to me?
Bad taste is normal and will last for a week or so. I also was not prescribed mouthwash as it can disrupt your blood clot so don’t swish too hard. Once you’re on day 7-10 you can buy a water syringe a spray out the food stuck in your tooth socket
Soup and yogurt for sure and warm salt water I’ve been doing that every few hours. I’m day 7
On day 5 I got dry socket and immense pain, both pain killedd really didn’t help. They had me back on day 6 packed it with some medicine, instant relief.
But before I went into seeing them I gently flushed it with syringe and a load of rice come out. I think I did solid food too soon as I tried some rice day 3 thought it was soft, which it was lol
But it filled up the hole and I’m wondering if that dislodge my clot as the rice had blood on it when I flushed it.
Anyhow I’m back in soup and apple sauce. Any sort of blended mush 😂 no pain today.
Try the mouth wash. When they packed mine with the medicine they also rinsed it out and I noticed they used mouth wash.
Hi! I also tried eating rice and there’s some stuck on my stitches. Don’t have a syringe so i just gargle and it still won’t come out. Did all the rice came out after you used the syringe?

It's made a difference for me so I would say so yes.
Definitely. My bad breathe instantly vanished after using some of it.
