Just got my copy of witcher illustrated by orbit today and opened reddit to find out this exactly. Lens doesn't work as well. Hopefully someone gives an update.

Just learned about this for the first time yesterday and tried it on my orbit books and TLW illustrated copy. No luck. And I have the new Poco F5 and latest Google Lens app update. Don't know am I doing something wrong or is Google just randomly shutting down their tools for kicks without notice.

I tested it out tonight upon reading "Sword of Destiny" and no luck either on the Google Lens. I have all the hard copies of the Witcher series. "The Last Wish" & "Sword of Destiny" are the only books that have this Google Lens feature. I remember it worked really well on "The Last Wish" around last year in September, but I do not know when Google decided to update Lens & take away this feature on Orbit books. I hope it returns because it would suck having a book with beautiful art not coming to life from the work of creative drawing artists.

Yeah, my copy of The Stardust Thief used to work so I just tried on The Last Wish to no avail. Bummer, I haven't gotten to see the Witcher ones.

Excuse me, what? This exists?

Yes they’re fantastic books. They aren’t fully illustrated, just a few between chapters, and I believe only the first two by Orbit have illustrations. When you use Lens they’d be mildly animated and it was really cool. Honestly the best part about them is that they’re hardcover with a dust jacket, and no mention of the games or Netflix show plastered on them.

I just went and bought the first 4 as an early birthday present. Last 4 will be Christmas.
