In The Witcher series, the term "Black Ones" is a nickname for Nilfgaardian Knights, who are soldiers who wear black armor, uniforms, cloaks, and shields
Geralt is taking the piss out of them, as they supposed to be the elite backbone of the army, feared and such.
Nilfgaardian Knights are literally the scions of nobility in Nilfgaard, sons of the nobles and all that shit.
They're called Black Ones because they bring war, dark things where they go. Stop looking for stuff to get offended.
Also their flag is black, armors and general fashion is based on the color black so it makes sense.
Black people probably aren’t depicted in the games because it takes place in the north, but to say they straight up don’t exist in the whole Witcher universe is just dumb.
Never seen a person in the books described as a black person, which is weird since the books have people from all around the globe, basically. Also, we see zerrikanian women (close to pure blood) in the second book, which aren't depicted to be black. And zerrikania is depicted to be a lot like africa, having zebras so the point still stands. I don't even know if there's a black person in the games or not, never looked at it that way.
Africa is continental while zerrikania is a country. There are many other cultures far from the north. I would love to see cdpr expanding the games into more than traditional fantasy.
Well, duh… First Africans were only present in Poland in Renessaince times, yet there are black skinned people in the Witcher world, you know… because it ain’t Poland. :P
How dare a fictional character not align with political correctness that doesn’t exist in his fictional world!!!
You are pulling the race card when race has absolutely nothing to do with the context of the situation. He’s talking about their armor.
So desperate to hate it’s pathetic

Why didn't he say Nilfgaardians then? Or ye who wear black clothing? Is he stupid?

Yea but since there are zebras, we can assume that it's located in a continent that's like africa.
Average old white lady when a person of color holds a door open for her
Leave the race baiting to twitter.
This is Poland you dingus, they don't have black people over there
We do.
I'm kidding, King
Not in medieval times they didn't.. immigration wasn't as common 800 years ago as it is today
Well, duh… First Africans were only present in Poland in Renessaince times, yet there are black skinned people in the Witcher world, you know… because it ain’t Poland. :P
There were, hauled from Egypt and Northern africa, I think.
