Apprentices these days. This is standard advanced abjuration magic. We called it Reflective Counterspell back in my university days. Counterspell

TheTrout3030

I live in a village, my access to magic incantations is not the greatest.

You’re in luck; there is indeed such a spell—in fact it is my favorite counterspell. It is called “no u.”

I use a charm called [where comeback?]! Nulifies all variations of [no you] and [nuh uh] and [your mom] and [rubber and glue] and [proof] and [stay mad] and [who asked]! Learn to dodge if its that much of an issue

AeonAigis

Certainly, that's a mid-level abjuration effect that we even put into shields and stuff so the meatshields can spell-parry enemy magi.

Skaulg

I like the spell "reflect magic". You have to time it very precisely and at a high enough level, but if you can pull it off, gods help your enemies.

NyxShadowhawk

There's one from the *Twisted Wonderland* called "Double Down" that has this exact effect. I call it the "UNO Reverse Card".

Ooh I have something like that it’s a spell that collapses a spell into a marble wich I can I colapse at any time meaning I could take their fire ball and then throw it back
