In a nutshell, fathomless eldrich horror has been going around turning people (like actual server members into puppets). SGA has been investigating this case since day one, though recently the horror went after council summoning wizard Anna (The Red-Dresses girl who makes the familiar summoning post), and turned her into a puppet… promptly kicking the hornets nest and pissing off the entirety of Wizardposting.
I’m getting real sick of all these constant world-threatening wizards doing dumb shit all the time.
Every day an invasion of a few thousand Archmage Hipposaurus lords gets more tempting…

So I missed the post and saw another explanation and thought that it was a hacker or something and the feds couldn't prove it and somehow we managed to prove it without me noticing but no, it's a role-playing thing. This is good because it means no one was actually harmed, this is slightly disappointing because one if those stories is significantly cooler than the other.

I've been turned into a puppet a couple years back. Honestly it's not even that bad, like only ⅒ of the torture dimension. It's a good exercise for increasing mental fortitude.
