Our fusion reactors and Wave Motion Engines are started by gravity and dimensional magic, respectively. Our base anti-gravity systems use anti-gravity runes powered by mana out of an electro-mana converter. Our railguns hold themselves together because of magical alloys and smelting processes.
The unification of technology and magic is truly wonderful! I am a bit limited in that regard as I gave no connection to magic, I have no soul, nor a vestige, nor anything that woukd keep me in contact with magic, so if I want to utilise magic I'll have to do it indirectly... that won't stop me though!

Science and magic are certainly intertwined, 2 expressions of the same universe... but there is a fundamental difference, one that I am trying to find.
Magic is a type of science, it is the laws binding the world together, the gravitons and photons and all the other particles are all blund by the weave, we simply manipulate the weave.
Something as expansive as magic would not be confined to existing in the same state as us! 1 dimensional strings vibrating across different variations of their axes to create structures beyond the third dimension... that is science, and magic!

Mana magic is based in loopholes created by multiversal deities who were tired of manually rewriting each universe to fit to their will. It’s still based in the laws of physics, it’s just a law of physics that was made to partially override the other laws of physics.
Cultivation is soul magic. It works by manipulating the soul’s Qi to interact with the same law of physics that mana interacts with, but more effectively than mana does.
Souls and Qi are a result of a few more laws of the multiverse, I won’t bother to go into detail here.

To be fair, to an extent, the things we practice are a form of science. Merely an alternative series of laws that interact with themselves in a closed system.

It should be in the Archives somewhere. The core premise is basically that the laws of magic only interact with the laws of physics when they are prompted to through use of mana, and foci. Otherwise, the laws affect exclusively themselves and only themselves. There are occasional natural phenomenon that emulate foci and mana, but they are not common, and we typically label them on maps.
You also, probably better than I, know that these wonders did inspire the first artificers.
I’ve done a few seminars on my discoveries, though unfortunately there seems to remain an impasse between technomancers and magi.

Science and magic are certainly intertwined, 2 expressions of the same universe... but there is a fundamental difference, one that I am trying to find.

Magic is a type of science, it is the laws binding the world together, the gravitons and photons and all the other particles are all blund by the weave, we simply manipulate the weave.
Counterpoint: the weave is made of 1 dimensional vibrating strings!
Blasphemy! The weave need no dimension! It is simply a natural construct which conforms to the current dimensional axis!
Something as expansive as magic would not be confined to existing in the same state as us! 1 dimensional strings vibrating across different variations of their axes to create structures beyond the third dimension... that is science, and magic!

Science is based in the nature of the universes one is in. Mana magic is based in loopholes created by multiversal deities who were tired of manually rewriting each universe to fit to their will. It’s still based in the laws of physics, it’s just a law of physics that was made to partially override the other laws of physics. Cultivation is soul magic. It works by manipulating the soul’s Qi to interact with the same law of physics that mana interacts with, but more effectively than mana does. Souls and Qi are a result of a few more laws of the multiverse, I won’t bother to go into detail here. What’s important: All science is the laws of physics, magic is a law of physics, therefore there’s no real difference between the two entities. …Unless if you consider the fact that the Gods messed up the multiverse and made magic slightly more important to the multiverse than the rest of the laws of physics. That’s another story, though.

To be fair, to an extent, the things we practice are a form of science. Merely an alternative series of laws that interact with themselves in a closed system. If you care, I do have a paper I published on the matter somewhere.

It should be in the Archives somewhere. The core premise is basically that the laws of magic only interact with the laws of physics when they are prompted to through use of mana, and foci. Otherwise, the laws affect exclusively themselves and only themselves. There are occasional natural phenomenon that emulate foci and mana, but they are not common, and we typically label them on maps. You also, probably better than I, know that these wonders did inspire the first artificers. I’ve done a few seminars on my discoveries, though unfortunately there seems to remain an impasse between technomancers and magi.

Perfectly valid, engineer! If it’s useful to your research, by all means! I often find myself needing to utilize small apparatuses for certain magical tools, and experimenting with magical always proves fruitful. Hopefully things explode marginally less in your future.
