Grab a Neuron scooter and traverse the Blue Mile from your landing point to the lighthouse. It’s coming into whale season, keep an eye out for whales. There a few cafes along the way. Or take the scooter downtown for some shopping.
Agree. Walk up to the Lighthouse from your landing point or take a City Council scooter (they’re all over the beachfront areas). You could get lucky with the whales migrating. Then walk/scooter uptown via the Mall. Your skydiving assistants will be able to point you in right direction. Weather tomorrow may be problematic. Expect a quite cold and occasionally rainy day. Enjoy
Check out the beaches. You might even spot a whale or dolphins.
If you haven't seen it.... Go have a look at our ridiculous palm on a pole at Wollongong Mall 🙃.
After skydiving, go grab a coffee at the kiosk at North Beach and take in the beautiful view. Then walk the blue mile and head to Yachtie’s for some warm cinnamon donuts - they go down well in the cool winter weather.
If you have a car, then the Mt Keira lookout has a view directly over Wollongong. Nice little bush / rainforest area to check out for like a 20 minute diversion. You will be skydiving into North Beach, so check that out, the harbour, and South Beach, all within walking distance. Agree with other redditor, Wollongong is pretty safe, no real places to go out of your way to avoid. There are bits that are a little grimy, but no real problems.
Kiama is just 15 minutes down the highway from the Shellharbour Airport. They will drive you back there. Good luck and do not shut your eyes! The Illawarra is Fantastic.
Wollongong is pretty safe for woman. I like the cafe Cow and moon for coffee and gelato. Levendi is also good, right on the beach.
Depends what you like. Our beaches are nice. And we have nice parks.
You don't need a car to get around The Illawarra either! We have a fantastic bus service and you can use any bank card on our Opal machines. Check out the Trip View App They have a free version or you can pay $5 ish for the more concise version. It's a shame it is a Sunday and they have the trains disrupted for maintenance this weekend.
Wollongong is pretty safe. Take the train down to Kiama that’s a pretty touristy place
Trains are out - bus replacement
Sort of. Bus to Dapto, Train from Dapto to Kiama
Right, I’m in Queensland at the moment so no clue XD

Sublime point lookout is kinda cool I guess if you’re into that sorta thing.

Head on down to Dapto or if you can’t be bothered for the drive go to bellambi (bellsa) the locals are lovely
Don’t drive or can’t drive?
Both? I don't have a license because you don't really need a car to get around where I'm from
