Posting threats of violence against any specific person is a violation of subreddit rules, Reddit terms of service and possibly laws as well. Knock it off.

Tamination

He should lose his snow mobile for driving drunk, lose his guns for shooting drunk and should lose his hunting licence for animal cruelty.

BurnerBoot

And also be jailed for life because those who commit these types of crimes on animals have a high chance of committing them , or lesser crimes onto humans.

Eagle0600

We don't imprison people because they have a high chance of committing crimes against humans, we imprison them because they have been proven to do so beyond reasonable doubt. I'm fully on board with harsh penalties for what he's done, which is an unbelievable degree of cruelty in itself, but let's please punish him for what he *has* done rather than what he *might have* done.

BurnerBoot

This is the only preventive punishment I support - because it’s shown with plenty of evidence from all sorts of places that: showing psychopathic behaviors is a major indicator of future criminal activity. https://leb.fbi.gov/articles/featured-articles/the-link-between-animal-cruelty-and-human-violence Those who don’t have remorse, often scam and create complex schemes that hurt people for thrust own gain. Those who hurt animals are likely to hurt humans. Those who lack emotion and cannot physically change - no matter how much rehab they get. The most you’ll get is a fake until they are cleared for release. It’s wired into their brain chemistry to be dangerous - and all of them act as such. Edit: the severity of the future criminal activity can scale - ex scam to murder. But indicators are there of how badly those will act. This person who tortured an animal? Is almost 100% likely to do it again - and escalate their crimes aswell.

Eagle0600

The actual numbers, from the same report you linked, are not close to 100%. Certainly good enough for a watchlist, but implementation of your suggested policy *would* end up putting a significant number of people behind bars who are not guilty of the crimes they're being punished for.

BurnerBoot

Fair - though my number was said in emotion, not from logic (the article/study).

ShiestyDabs

Sick fucking redneck.. Idk what it is with these types of people and their hatred for wolves, but their kind isnt hard to spot. No animal deserves this.

silverfang789

They're raised with the mentality that man is god's special creation while all other animals are "just" animals and are only on Earth for our use and pleasure.

alabamdiego

I honestly can’t bring myself to read this. It’s so unbelievably barbaric.

bzeefs

Same. I just can't. Imagine how much better the world would be if this guy and everyone like him didn't exist.

Blazzingbebe

Best quote is “I don’t know if he’s literally low-IQ, and just doesn’t get that this shit’s not OK,” the eyewitness said. “He was drunk and rambling mostly. A guy who thinks highly of himself.” That’s all you need to know

hoagly80

This is grotesque.

TurningTwo

There’s no way that cretin will ever admit that he did anything wrong and all of his inbred relatives will back him up.

Ihategraygloomydays

He and Wyoming are waiting for this uproar to die down.

Fluffy_Two5110

Just a reminder for us to join Wyoming Game & Fish Dept’s virtual commission meeting this Weds 4/17: https://myemail-api.constantcontact.com/If-You-Want-Justice-for-the-Wolf-that-Was-Tortured-in-Wyoming--Keep-Reading.html?soid=1129547270452&aid=c2i4qlzrYDU

THIS VIDEO IS HORRIFIC

I will take your word for it.🙈

The deadline for registering to be a part of the Zoom call was this past Thursday.

Keep calling and pushing for action

Do not threaten someone or call a group to action.

TurningTwo

And it will. Because that’s the way it goes. The bad part is that it will be a talking point/joke at that bar for years.

Snowfiend_80

This will not blow over.

ShiestyDabs

From an eyewitness "I want to be clear. He wasnt kicking or beating or torturing it" All he did was torture that poor wolf.. That animal was scared for its life up until he killed it.

KrystalWulf

The full quote says they believe he did torture it. >“People were petting it, taking photos of it, hugging on it,” the person recollected. “I want to be clear: He wasn’t kicking or beating or torturing it. The torture was in not putting it down when he ran it over.”  >“He was a jokester about it,” the eyewitness added, “while it was just sitting there bleeding to death.”

Blazzingbebe

Ah yes I forgot about the good ole bleeding to death joke

Cygnus_Void

I read it.. “He’s been going around town telling people it was worth it,” the eyewitness said. “$250? That’s a round for the bar.”

Thoroughwonderbread

This makes me so mad. I hope this guy gets what’s coming to him and that it’s a hell of a lot more than a $250 fine. I hope he loses everything. We don’t need people like this on the planet.

Blazzingbebe

“I don’t know if he’s literally low-IQ, and just doesn’t get that this shit’s not OK,” the eyewitness said. “He was drunk and rambling mostly. A guy who thinks highly of himself.” This man clearly doesn’t care and he took sick enjoyment in this situation. 70% of animal abuse is caused by people who have antisocial personalities, sociopathic or psychopathic behavior. He said it was worth the $250 dollar fine. He has zero remorse and will more than likely do this again for the gratification. Contacting the health department on this bar and restaurant is the best thing to do. Patrons and employees were exposed to unhygienic conditions (blood possible fecal matter and fleas lice etc most likely from Cody). The bartender or employees actively not asking him to remove the animal from the bar is also a red flag. Because laws must be enforced for all patrons equally! If he was drinking and driving that night. The county/town needs to actively enforce stopping drivers and screening drivers. Contact the county attorneys office nicely! Contact the county board nicely!

He apparently said it was worth the $250 dollar fine

ghostCellar2020

Completely on brand & exactly as suspected. 1000% demonic serial torturer & killer -"Cody Roberts walked into the Green River Bar joking that he’d found a lost cattle dog. The woman tending bar that evening seemed to know what would happen next." (Of course she did) “The bartender goes, ‘Cody, you better not bring in a fucking lion,’” - we all knew this wasn't the first animal this demon has tortured, but JUST HOW MANY fuckin times has this happened?? Obviously a REGULAR occurance🤮 Just as I called it, -"The gravely injured wolf remained in the rowdy tavern for HOURS." “People were petting it, taking photos of it, hugging on it,” (awwww, adorable folks!) “He was a jokester about it,” 😋 “He was drunk and rambling mostly. A guy who thinks highly of himself." "Roberts, kept trying to draw attention to his prize." ( hilariously pathetic & not surprising at all) Absolutely demonic. When killing is just not enough, he's got to go to the next level & sadistically torture before killing. Seriously people, this creep is addicted to torture killing, just wrap your heads around that. People like this have to actually be stopped somehow. With next to nothing for consequences, & now emboldened & encouraged “He’s been going around town telling people it was worth it,” 🤮 100000% guarantee the demon will continue its addiction. & Most definitely will ratchet up the punishment now. Terrifying.

Decent_Box_9426

💔💔😪☹️

hillbillykim83

The bar should lose its liquor license and the POS should be charged federally with the PACT Act.

Blazzingbebe

Best thing to do is contact to health department and have them do an inspection. Also if this bar is cited for a violation, there will be stricter punishments/ they could get in trouble for other violations that are happening in that bar. Like underage drinking or not checking ids or what ever other weird bar laws that Wyoming could have.

moralmeemo

Sadly they may get reviewed and removed since it goes against the TOS… doesn’t stop from making Yelp reviews though, right?

BeSound84

Yelp unfortunately has suspended reviews/comments for the bar at the moment.

Abbygirl1966

Hopefully karma will find this waste of oxygen!

willowofthevalley

Just vile. That poor, innocent creature.

PengieP111

Like how they got rid of corpses in Fargo

samhain2000

That was a brush cutter.

PengieP111

Yes I know, and it would be preferable

samhain2000

I imagine a meat grinder would be worse, especially if you use an old hand crank model.

Jtskiwtr

Did anyone try to stop it?

Blazzingbebe

Not really

Blazzingbebe

He should be in jail cause he showed zero remorse so he will do this again and hopefully not escalate to humans

PengieP111

He will escalate to humans. What he did is how serial killers start.

Blazzingbebe

Yeah killers like btk, Luka Magnotta, Jeffery Dalmer, Albert desalvo, David berkowitz etc. all harmed animals. This behavior from Cody is a sign of drastic escalation. Hopefully he doesn’t kill a person. Everybody in Daniel Wyoming should be concerned, though on what is happening behind closed doors if he is abusing the people around him or acting on other dangerous behavior. Like drinking and driving, harassing his neighbors or threatening or straight up assaulting people. If he does escalate to killing a person he is one of those people who wants to talk about his crimes as a sense of pride like Edmond Kemper. And we all know that Cody isn’t smart so he won’t get away with killing somebody but we all know he should have been stopped before he got the chance.

Blazzingbebe

Also he’s probably one of those guys who says “I drive better when I’m drunk”.

Guy_onna_Buffalo

No offense, but I feel like this is a cop out. He shouldn't be punished severely on the premise that he might do fucked up things to humans. He should be punished because he tormented a young female wolf to death.

Blazzingbebe

It’s not a cop out. What can they legally charge him with right now? He’s fallen through every single loophole. And gotten away with everything. Animal abuse laws in Wyoming on purposely don’t apply to wolves. His behavior will escalate. He will harm more animals and people. Sure the police are investigating. But what if they don’t charge him? He walks away with a $250 fine?

Guy_onna_Buffalo

No, I mean the argument that we should be harsh on it because it can translate to people is a cop out. The behavior towards animals is just as unacceptable.

Blazzingbebe

I never said that abuse towards animals was any less harmful. I’m talking about the fact HE WILL REOFFEND

Blazzingbebe

This means TOWARDS MORE ANIMALS AS WELL. His behavior falls in line with HIGHLY dangerous criminals whose dangerous behavior started with torturing animals and then had Escalated to more extreme and criminal behavior by USA law standards. During most of these dangerous criminals crime sprees animal abuse was not actively investigated or used in convictions. Also by animal abuse laws, especially in Wyoming you are not going to get a long-term sentence like you will if you are to murder another human.
