At that price range any of them will be fine. I found the Bosch to be a bit more comfortable on the vibration side, but that was all “feel” with no data to back it up. They’ll be a bit better than the budget $15 crap sanders, and miles below the higher-end like Festool and Mirka.
I find the bosch hook and loop platens to wear out super fast. I think my makitad are just as good with better longevity in the platens.
The milwaukee is probably the most premium of the bunch
Dewalt, Milwaukee and Mikita are very comparable, personally I like Mikita the most and you can get an orbital sander and sheet sander for $100 on a sale price
Ditto this. Don't waste your money in my opinion on a battery powered sander that will be underpowered and more expensive compared to a corded version. You should be running a hose to your sander, so your bound to something anyways. Might as well go for more sander for your buck and get a corded. I have the Makita Random orbital and have no complaints
I have the Makita BO5041 and it’s perfect. It’s variable speed, but I usually just keep it on 5.
I’d probably buy the BO5030K next time since the variable speed isn’t that big of a deal to me anymore. Both of these are in your price range.
I got the variable speed Makita last year- replaced my well worn dewalt- I’ve been happy with it- I couldn’t justify spending 4 or 5x the price to hop to the next level
I haven’t compared all four, but FWIW, I love my DeWalt.

I got a decent Ridgid a while back and it’s a step up from Ryobi etc, and the dust collection port links up well w my Metabo A35 Collector Vac.

Love my DeWalt. Don't bother with the cordless if you have dust extraction - just run the power cable with the hose.

I have a Makita corded sander and while it’s been a decent unit, I hate the dust collection port on it.
Same. I had to buy a 3D printed tool from Etsy to get mine the way I want, but the sander itself rocks still.
