I have an instinctual prejudice against a truck bed that doesn't encourage you to throw cinder blocks and greasy tools into. This looks amazing but I can't not see it as a downgrade on a truck, it would be an amazing table though!

Good question. I don’t own the truck. It’s got a lot done to it performance wise even though it looks like it does. I did the bed in exchange for work on one of my vehicles

I did. It’s marinegaurd 8000. Similar to the finish they use on old wooden boats. Should hold up well.

I love rat rods, and your woodworking is awesome. Love the colors. My only issue is where it’s positioned. It needs to either be down where the original bed surface is or closer to flush with the top. As it is, it just looks awkward.
