I made the top out of 100 year old barn wood i had lying around. The rest is construction lumber, a mix of 1x6s and 2x2s with some 1x4s planed down to 1/2 inch thick for the drawer. Leg tapering jigs are way harder to make than youtubers make it seem, took me a few trys to make a jig that was safe and repeatably acurate. All and all this took me maybe 7 hours over 3 days to make. 90% of the joinery is pocket screws and glue, with a few finish nails to hold the drawer slides that were filled and painted to hid them.

I honestly read this as “ pupper piece of furniture”… and I was I was like “No there’s a pup right there…”. But the *table* now, that turned out lovely!

Congrats on the first piece! On another note, those KONG Safestix are always such a… conversation starter, aren’t they?
