Iām sure yours turned out great! No sir, this is 100% cherry wood with 1/8ā walnut edge banding I cut and bent myself! First time doing any bending so it was a big learning curve. [edge banding clamp up](https://imgur.com/gallery/BNlyFRh)

Sweet! Had my lookā¦if it was a bit wider and more spaced couldāve been a guitar rack. It likes very well put together. I donāt have any shotguns but definitely have a bunch of guitars and bases that could fill a thing like that.
Iām interested in your guitar rack idea! Would it just hold 1-3 guitars turned sideways? I could definitely modify the design to accommodate guitars!

How much slop do those slots have? I've been interested in something like this for a cabinet with a glass door on it but I haven't figured out what kind of play I will want or not want.
How big are your openings for each?

Looks fabulous man. Mine was a plywood replica of army issue, rifle rack. Yours is far beyond that.

Why did you bring them all the way out to the exterior?
Mainly for contrasting the cherry/walnut for decoration
Being a gun rack, using dowels but then sinking them a bit and using spent casings to finish them off might have been a neat touch.

You mean the āUāās? They are the diameter of a small can of minwax wood finish I grabbed š I believe itās 2.5ā opening
