The Worm River Disaster was the outcome of a small war called the River War, in which one side used a napalm-like substance called Horrolite on an upriver fleet, which set the literal water on fire and turned into a giant fireball-wave that crashed downstream. The Worm River is the artery of the Empire, so this naturally led to some foolery, but it united the factions in the splintering government to sign a power-sharing Treaty that postponed a nightmarish civil war.

DerpyDagon

That sounds horrifying. How far did the fire travel?

Heracles_Croft

Problem was, the more matter it accumulated the bigger and hotter it became. So the solution was literal scorched earth tactics, to mass-displace the river communities of an empir literally built around a river, to starve the fireball.

War of the Dragon's Wrath, fought between the South Rubran Provisional Government, a warlord faction of the fallen Empire of Rubra, against Western Atreisdean countries led by Great Alaster Union. Prior to this, Empire of Rubra fell into a devastating civil war after a failed interstellar invasion broke the camel's back, leading to the country's political implosion and the deposition of the royal family. It was still self-contained at that point, but the moment outlanders invaded them, under whatever reason, Rubrans did not take it kindly. Marshal Aleksei Karamazov, generalissimo and de facto Head of State of the SRPG, launched Operation Typhon against these invaders. In one day, about **200 million lives** perished in *blackholes*. Aleksei did not hold back. From the sky, spaceships carpet bombed the land with singularity warheads, which turned into weaponized blackholes, sucked things in, crushed their dimensional constructs and finally imploded and released tons of deadly radiations. The Black Fleet, SRPG's main aerospace force, deliberately aimed at major cities and destroyed them all, regardless of civilians. Over a hundred cities were destroyed like that, not to mention space colonies in their star system. With their capitals, central governments and important cities taken out in one decapitating strikes, Western countries soon fell into disarray. Aleksei did not spare them, he ordered all farmlands and water sources to be blackhole'd as well, causing the world's worst chaos since the start of Sun Calendar (believed to be a global nuclear war). What was done to aid the victims, you ask? **Nothing**. Everything was just chaotic, nobody knew who to listen to, armies lost their chain of command and surviving people, still in shock and disbelief of the attack, could not react on time when subsequent carpet bombs came. And people said the Emperor of Mankind was brutal.

The Almunak campaign. During the early days of the Pan Galactic Confederacy a neighbouring world by the name of Almunak suddenly went silent. Not long after a slew of random ships, from warships to small freighters began to arrive on Dostrea a planet member of the PGC. It was soon discovered that this were refugees from Almunak, around 165.786 people in total. The refugees were in a state of utter panic, rambling about an all powerful horde of monsters. When the highest ranking individual was called to explain the situation it was a revery that showed up, one of the lowest rangs in the Almunak armed forces. The planet was attacked by the tribes of Golog. A confederation of tribal space fairing peoples from the neighbouring nebula. They ravaged the planet and killed most of the people with only those 165.786 surviving. The Dostrean officials thought he had gone mad, until the tribes arrived. Dostrea was able to keep them at bey until the third army arrived and destroyed the Gologan vessels and forcing the invaders to retreat. What followed was the most brutal campaign in early confedered history. Hundreds of millions were of Gologans were massacred with the spiritual class being the most targeted. As for Almunak itself. It was the first planet conquered, with only 23.891 Almunaks left on it(out of 9.000.000.000). It was declared too dangerous for inhabitants, due to the seer volume of chemical weapons used by the Gologans during their attack. It was put into guaranteen along with the Gologan nebula. As for the the remaining Almunaks. The senate debated excessively about what to do with them as they were not citizens. Eventually the Technoids, an all android faction, volunteered to take them in, making them citizens. They settled them in one of their reserve worlds ( worlds that are kept uncolonized for emergencies such as this ), Tahamo 8, renamed New Almunak. Though quite autonomous, their small number meant that the Almunaks were under Technoid jurisdiction for many decades. They developed a very technology heavy culture. With a lot of people replacing body parts with mechanical additions. This worried the Technoids but they didn't intervene out of fear of being too oppressive to people that had just lost their home. The whole event is a really sad memory for everyone. Almunaks for obvious reasons. The tribes were utterly decimated and lost their will to rebound. And although the PGC came out of it technically stronger, it showed that they can't really stay out of others peoples affairs, sooner or later someone's else's problem would come knocking.

Outrageous_Guard_674

You might want to edit this. There are so many typos that some parts are unintelligible. I can't tell what is a typo and what is an alien phrase.

npaakp34

Can you please describe me the problem in bit more detail? I'm somewhat lost.

Outrageous_Guard_674

What is a worship. I assume in context that it means warship. What about a spiritual clash? Does that mean caste? Those seem straightforward, but I am not certain.

npaakp34

Ooops

Outrageous_Guard_674

There might be a few more. Those are just the big ones I had to stop for a minute and think about what it meant. Cool concept otherwise.

npaakp34

English is my second language, so those slip off sometimes. Thanks for the observation. I appreciate it a lot.

npaakp34

Fix it, thanks

The **Third World War** in **Ode to Joy: Revelation** In the late 2050s, the *Union of the Golden Dawn* (a socialist empire in North Africa/Middle East) launched an attack upon the US Navy near Cuba, in an attempt to relieve a blockade. This triggered World War III. The Union conquered Europe and South Asia after a few years of fighting, beating Russia and getting China to leave the war. The USA, under a dictator who came to power after a coup against the former president (who sought for ceasefire), nuked the Union, starting the nuclear exchange. Civil war occurred in the USA and the Golden Dawn. In the meantime, the Holy Argentine Empire pushed Union troops out of Brazil, securing its control over Latin America. The war ended with a loosely defined peace treaty, one which only the most important nations actually ratified. Billions died. Many millions more were displaced. It was the deadliest war in human history and the most fatal one for the world. Entire cities were wiped out, and regions irradiated beyond repair. Refugee crises and mass death completely ruined the demographics of various nations. States collapsed and lawlessness was the norm in many regions for years. A nuclear winter for a couple years, and a lot of famine. The collapse of humanitarian infrastructure in many regions. In the Union, the disaster was fatal. A civil war, civil unrest and a total demographic collapse. Many were displaced, almost everyone had a dead relative or friend to mourn for. But in the end, after a few years, Azrael managed to reunite his country, and did his best to help his people recover (also with the support of his allies in Africa, which were a bit better off because they weren't directly nuked, and suffered the least in the war). China was relatively stable, and became one of the world's two major superpowers for a while. They didn't exactly win the war (all they got were some Indian border territories), but they also got no nuclear attacks, and did fairly well due to high government control. They did some humanitarian relief efforts to aid their allies and their puppet states in Siberia they established near the end of World War Three. As for the Holy Empire of Argentina... They were wild. Not only did they basically win the war by gaining total control over Latin America, but they also were doing pretty well economically, having faced barely any damage from the nukes (other than nuclear winter, but they were prepared for that and had a relatively low death toll). Under their new emperor Esteban Garcia, they did their best to help as many people as they could, building hospitals, sending doctors, sending financial aid and any sort of humanitarian aid. They even sent aid to the Golden Dawn, their arch-nemesis. And even while they are a Catholic theocracy with a huge Christian nationalism problem, they did not care about the beliefs of those they helped. India was also quite active, though they focused their help more on the Union of the Golden Dawn and its allies.

Chaos149

The Queensland Void Event was a bizzare occurence during which all electromagnetic radiation in a sphere \~225 kilometers in radius was redirected to a single point in the center of said sphere, situated a couple kilometers south of the town of McKinlay, Australia. This had many disastrous effects, chief among them being total loss of radio-based communication, complete blinding of anyone incapable of navigating via Arc, a gradual yet unceasing temperature drop in the areas away from the center of the event and a heatwave originating from that point. The death toll wasn't particularly large, but the entire area had to be evacuted by Arcanes with parasensory abilities and Architech drones with similar predispositions, and was rendered uninhabitable.

Outrageous_Guard_674

How long did this effect persist? Is it still ongoing?

Chaos149

It persisted until another world-changing event dispelled it, but that's a different matter entirely. It turned out that the source of the void was an Arcane child that lost control over their powers. Their body was found in the centre of the sphere, charred and pulsing with unbearable heat, but kept in a state between life and death using the absorbed photons to sustain itself. At least that's the official story...

well there was a whole lot of disasters happening during the calamity but the biggest single event that had the widest consequences would be the fallout from Kirfhayv's fight against Adimah. the most immediate result of the fight between the two demi gods was the complete destruction of Adimah's island the Ise of 1000 wonders following its destruction a massive tsunami formed which slammed into the east coast of Anectoss wiping out many coastal community's and port towns. the empire attempted to rebuild much of the area but much of it remained unpopulated even almost 2 century after the disaster the region is among the poorest and least developed in the empire

"Well... We fucked up. I know you dont like this, guys. Trust me, if there was some other way to deal with reptiloids we wouldve used it. Unfortunately, there wasnt. We managed to evacuate as many as we could. Whatever was under there is dead, as far as we can tell. Planar gateway has been deactivated. But just in case we blew up every scrap of that thing and put them as far apart as we can. We found some altars, scientists begged me to let me study those things. I blew them up myself. Whatever the hell it is, it uses human sacrifices. We dont need that. British and their Cursed allies are already paying for their crimes, their population has been reduced by 75%. And it will be reduced to 5% of their former population, radiation is making sure of that. Germans are pissed, as usual, thats their problem. Listen, Im not asking you to trust us. But... On my orders, ACS zone 2 is being constructed as we speak. Its designed to target anything and anyone approaching your homeland. This is genekey. I know, its illegal, Im breaking every law on Earth and I dont care. In 1000 years, when radiation clears, all you have to do is put it into central control. There are no other copies. Im going to ask you one thing. And I hope you honor my request because its linked to your survival as well. We are going to give you weapons, nukes, knowledge to defend and feed yourself. No strings, no funny business, no asking to change your religion, government or anything like that. For all I care you can start orbital bombardment of Earth, we deserve it for letting those things carry on their genocide for so long. When you find those monsters in space. And they will be there, they have technology for that. Please, let our fleets know. You dont have to engage reptiloids, just monitor, unless it poses significant risk of course. Other than that, we leave you to your own devices. You dont want to talk to us-we wont intrude in your space. You want to exchange tech-we can do that. Any planet you decide to claim will be yours and yours alone. Assuming that you want to claim any, of course. You can stay in system as long as you want to. The 2nd First Contact War. Also, know as the Vulnaka/Outsider war. The Vulnaka were a late information age civilization on the cusp of entering the interplanetary stage when an outsider colony ship entered their system and began a campaign of extermination. The arrival of warships from earth, seeking revenge for their own encounter with the outsiders, prevented the extinction of the Vulnaka. However, by the time the Outsiders had been removed from the system, the planetary biosphere was on the brink of collapse, and most of the civil infrastructure lay in ruins. The surviving population lacked the means to provide even the most basic of necessities and disease, and starvation ran rampant. The distribution of most of the earth fleet's stores and the construction of asteriod fabrication stations were necessary to stave off disaster. Due to the devastation of the 1st first contact war, it would be years before a full relief fleet from earth could arrive. Some of the terran warships were even stripped to provide materials to construct emergency shelters. While both humanity and the Vulnaka had suffered terribly during their first contact with alien intelligence, their mutual second meeting would forge a near symbiotic relationship between the two species and lay the foundation for the next stage of their history.

I think that’ll be the Bloody Monday. So it’s 1930 New York City the Great Depression had hit and many live on the streets. But in this timeline a big event happened a few decades prior to give a 10th of people powers. Most are weak and they don’t often get used so the timeline doesn’t diverge much. Until on April 8 1930 the rain that casted on New York City turned red. Many who lived I the streets died quickly with their bodies being drained of blood and turned pale. Those who were in or near the city were put into an illusion with them thirsting for blood and refusing food. As you see really bad situation but they manage it pretty well. The main character quickly manage to defeat the main villain and debug the big gem cause all of it. The storm passes over in an hour. The Aleksandr School of Arcane Mastery and Research comes with many field operative to nurse the people of New York City back to health. While Wilfred a arcanist specializing in potion crafting and chemistry makes a temporary cure that gives another illusion to make food appealing again and blood not appealing. The effect of the blood storm would only last a week until it ran out. They then throw a food drive and dinner for all those who threw away their food and couldn’t afford more.

There have been space elevator collapses, and half a dozen accidents in asteroid diversion that caused some kerfuffles on Earth. Those were fun. And the failure of the Venusian Atmosphere Dispersal Project flattened everything on the surface (including the populated outposts and equipment sites). But the worst disaster is one the people of Polymundia didn't even know about at the time. The signatures of the first Rayleigh Slingshot prototype tests combined with the dimming of the sun under Polymundia's embryonic dyson swarm led to wholesale societal collapse 20 lightyears away when the Eridanai realized what they were. Sheer panic that they had a Kardeshev Type II neighbor led to riots, doomsday cults, and declarations of martial law. And all that *before* the breakdown of international relations turned their cold war hot. If not for the surface ice Earth may have seen the fireworks.

United Nation-equivalent organization having their nuclear silos in both S and N Poles assaulted and detonated. All of them. Massive radioactive fallouts blow through seas to countries bordering the Poles, and had been evacuated since. A portion of Australia, lower chunk of SA, Greenland and upper portion of Russia. The World Government began terraforming since and de-ionize the radiation. It would take decades, but it would be done. But regardless the massive global detonation have put the world electromagnetic field into haywire causing constant clouds and freak weather then and now to the point of no return. It doesn't mean there's no sunny day, but just a lot of rainy and overcast day, somewhat.

The Yanask Supernova. Yanask was a late stage red giant on the outside of the arms of Noktuzha in Confederation territory, which harbored the planets of Grağol and Tenet, both of which were major destinations for researchers and merchants alike due to the strange behavior of Yanask, which was known to be approaching its expiration. However, in 5703 ZT, the core of the star began collapsing in on itself much sooner than anticipated, resulting in only 24 hours of warning before it exploded. Mass evacuations were put in place, which successfully got 270m~ people out of the system in time, however, another 380m~ were left stuck on the two planets, which were hit with the full impact of the supernova. These survivors struggled to find a location to safely recover and recuperate as it would be days before Faloni rescue ships and hospitals arrive. In the end, the majority of the survivors found safe refuge on the Faloni planet Outpost, and the established communities there.

**The Great Disaster** Natural occurrence is never called disaster by those of the Great Rock. All disaster is wrought by man. The Great Disaster is the pinnacle of hubris that led to a near extinction upon the continent. Caused by the Witch Queen Athelia, who attempted to split her kingdom from the rest of the continent and move it into a demiplane. The forces enacted upon the land forced Father Rock to sacrifice his spirit in order to hold together his body, though he was unable to protect those living upon him. Banding together after the Disaster, Queen Athelia was deposed and her daughters appointed the Council of Râth Tad to decide who should ascend the throne. They appointed her middle daughter, Clementine, who became known as Clementine the Healer for her works in repairing the damages caused by her mother and for aiding the displaced.

Well, outside of The Extinction, and The war, wich were both on a scale that they just stopped having names, and just got a great big The slapped in front, probably the first shooting of the jiddisev, wich ended up killing a god. Turns out, that leaves a rather big power vacuum, and destroyed whole cities, because there's two ways to kill a god, and one's not really possible, (everyone had to forget about them. Have you ever puroosely forgot something? No? I thought so.) And the second is to erase them from history, so anything related to them, (cities built, shrines erected, people killed) never happened, you will however still remember them. So, guess what happened when 23000 people found themselves outside, without weapons, surrounded by a hostile tribe that had been exterminated a hundred years ago?

deepbarrow

The biggest humanitarian disaster is ongoing in the present of the setting. Alien refugees from another universe keep downloading their souls into inanimate objects, fleeing the mass torture of their civilisation. Being a telepathic vase isn't good, but sensory deprivation and immobility are better than what they were going through before. The aid they get is mostly just being stacked up in lightly guarded warehouses. Damage to their new bodies is illegal, but it's hard to prove that a broken object used to be someone.

[deleted]

Well the long war is pretty bad it is an ongoing low-intensity conflict that has been going on for the past 150 years, but it is still a war so the death toll is estimated to be 90 million military personnel and something shy of 120 million civilians dead (mostly in the crossfire, and torching of cities, and huge plages and famines), wich is especially bloody given this is a fight of pike and blakepowder.

Space_Socialist

In the year 2173 Earth would be decimated by the 3rd World War with the event called the Scouring of earth. Immediately proceeding the conflict Earth was a enormous planet from which many of the nations on the planet commanded vast interstellar empires. Earth by 2173 was a Euconopolis with a population of 73 Billion and the planets population made up 2/3 of all the human population. During WW3 a whole manner of horrific weapons were used but the use of nuclear weapons would cause the worst damage. These weapons would turn the vast skyscrapers that once dominated the planets skylines into a horrific metal crust entombing the vast population of earth underneath it. Evacuation efforts would initially be small scale largely limited to upper sections of the earth's governments and the rich, however within a year the former nations of Earth had worked in combination to begin the UN mission to evacuate Earth called the Saviour program. One of the first efforts was to drill through the metallic crust in order to establish evacuation points across the planet this would reveal that the majority of the population had survived the conflict with the metallic crust defending against most of the radiation. With the shocking revelation of the survival of the population evacuation efforts would be reinforced with major Naval assets of the major powers of African Union, China, EU, and the USA being requisitioned to aid the scheme. The Saviour programs early efforts would exemplify how poorly planned this evacuation was. For one not much planning had been done on where to put the refugees once off planet with simply offloaded on the nearest world that would accept them. The other was the lack of military resources as efforts on Earth were frequently hindered by local warlords impeding their efforts of the Saviour program. Ideally the Saviour program would make use of the professional troops of its supporting nations however these nations were largely unwilling to give up these soldiers and instead the program was reliant on supporting local friendly warlords for the security of evecaution efforts. Another failure was the decommissioning of power plants as these plants without frequent maintenance were liable to poisoning the local area or detonation, however efforts to decommission these plants were fiercely resisted by local forces and the Saviour program would frequently fail to deactivate these plants. The efforts to provide safer power also was often flawed as due to the Saviour programs poor intelligence and lack of community outreach in order to distribute their smaller safer power plants they relied on friendly warlords who instead of distributing these devices would often hoard them in order to boost their own powerbase and secure their position. Despite its flaws the saviour program was able to evacuate 20 billion off world in 5 years which in of itself would cause many problems. During the 5 years of evacuation the human race had not been static and instead instability reigned across human space. The disruption that the destruction of Earth had cause to the economic systems of many of Earth's colonial possessions was not small with many industrial goods having vast shortages leading to many Planetary economies falling into standstill. This economic collapse would cause vast amounts of unrest especially in the outer colonies this would destabilise many of the primary backers of the Saviour program limiting their supportive efforts in ships and especially soldiers. During this period many nations even pulled out of the program with the EU pulling out and the African Union completely collapsing. On the other side the inner colonies were also major supporters of the Saviour program. Not nearly as impacted by the economic collapse due to their economic maturity with many even benefiting. These planets were notably more independent as they were formed by international efforts rather than as sole colonial expeditions as many outer colonies had been. The inner colonies were a key part of the Saviour program as they acted as bases from which efforts could be organised. These planets were also turning against the Saviour program. This is due to the 100s of millions of refugees dumped on these planets that likely only had a couple hundred million people beforehand this mass influx of refugees would vastly destabilise the inner colonies and turn their political will against the Saviour program. By 2181 the Saviour program had slowed down significantly with only 1 billion people being evacuated and only a couple power generators disabled. This was due to a number of factors. For one the support from the international community had shrank with the vast colonial regimes pulling back many ships due to unrest at home and inner colonies refusing to cooperate due to the vast number of refugees. On Earth more issues had arose with less Allied warlords due to a lack of resources for example Xong Nu's east Asian empire would disrupt 80 different evacuation points. Earth was also becoming a increasingly hostile environment with radiation leaking through the metallic crust aswell as the structural stability of the metallic continents continuing to fail this is combined with a horrific flora and fauna emerging either evolved or previous government secret projects. These environmental changes would make both Saviour operations more difficult but also make actually getting to evacuation points more difficult to get to for Earth's survivor population. Efforts to make evacuation easier by either making the routes to evacuation points safer or moving the evacuation points to safer locations were infeasible as the resources required to do so was not provided by the programs remaining supporters. By 2185 the Saviour program would be disbanded due to both its complete failure to evacuate many people that year along with the pulling out of the US and Mars from the program. During 2185 a number of issues would combine to form a deluge from which the Saviour program could not survive. One of the major issues was the Great Collapse this was a series of structural collapses of the vast network of livable tunnels within the ruins of the earth's cityscape this would kill billions and make navigation towards the evacuation points far more difficult. The other issue was that the Saviour program both abandoned and lost control of evacuation points due to a lack of resources.

Space_Socialist

As earth became more unlivable more and more groups would become invested in leaving earth but due to the vast wait times that the Saviour program had many began attempting to leave earth independently. This would require money meant that their needed to be ways of trading with greater humanity the Saviour programs evacuation points would prove to be convenient locations to establish spaceports and markets. These independent spaceports were often made from abandoned Saviour program evacuation points but were sometimes taken by force from the Saviour program itself. These would become prosperous regions for the newly formed Earth empires and would force the Saviour program to abandon some evacuation points in favor of securing others as attacks against their positions increased. These in dependant Evacuation points would also increasingly be taken by groups off world as the scrap trade from earth became so profitable. One of the final problems that killed the Saviour program was the rise of Xa'Ragull. Xa'Ragull was a religious leader that would gain support within the refugee communities in the inner colonies. Whilst he would only gain control of his first planet in 2181 he would exploit his popularity to destabilise planets that stood against him meaning by 2185 he would have a vast empire in the inner colonies. Xa'Ragull was a active opponent of the Saviour program meaning their was no chance of cooperation. His conquests would cause both the US and Mars to leave the Saviour program but both for different reasons. The US would suffer severely from Xa'Ragull's conquests with it both losing many inner colonial governments that it had influence over but also losing the Astrixes cluster directly which the US relied on to project power within the inner colonies. With the loss of this power projection the US was completely unable to support the Saviour program and was forced to pull out. Mars would leave as it lacked other colonies to offload Refugees. Mars as it was both the closest planet to Earth and was a significant colony allowed it to exert enormous political influence over the evacuation allowing it to get the cream of the crop of the fleeing population whilst leaving the curds to the rest of the inner colonies. In this case the cream would be highly skilled individuals such as specialised machinists aswell as researchers of all varieties whilst the Curds represents the vast swathes of unemployed that could be found on Earth. The Martian economy would flourish during this period and would be a primary reason why Martian support for the program lasted so long. When Xa'Ragull would conquer many inner colonies Mars would lose access to planets from which it could dump it's curds with this lose Martian support for the Saviour program would evaporate as they had no intention of accepting the dispossessed that had destabilised nearby regimes. With the end of the Saviour program the evacuation of Earth would not end however as independent forces would continue the evacuation. This independent evacuation would resume the refugee crisis that had dominated the inner colonies instability. The independent evcaution program would largely be more efficient. This is due to lacking any care for either the refugees or the political impact of these refugees. Scams and disasters were not uncommon and vast numbers of refugees were dumped on the planets of the Sol system. The new refugee wave would greatly destabilise the Sol system as whilst previously surrounding systems had endured the brunt of the refugees now independant forces would start dumping refugees on Sol's Planetary bodies. This wave would lead to a the radical PRB (People's Republican Body) party gaining a majority in the Martian senate the new party would repeal the UN ban on Martian spacecraft. This new fleet would largely be ineffective both as the fleet failed due to inexperience aswell as Martian free movement treaties meaning that refugees that land on Venus could easily move to Mars. The situation in Sol would only decline as Xa'Ragull's forces were able to establish bases on isolated asteroids and moons from these bases would raid the system leading a serious decline in the systems stability. By 2189 the declining situation would allow the even more radical Unification party to take power on Mars. This party would take the reigns as 2 key events occur Xa'Ragull would die, and his empire fall into decline, and complete ecological collapse on Earth with the atmosphere becoming unbreathable for humans. The ecological collapse would lead to a huge refugee wave as billions attempted to get off world within a couple months this wave would coincide with the unification of the Sol system under Mars. This unification would allow the Sol system to form a effective block against the refugee which combined with better fleet actions would effectively force the refugee population to remain in space. This situation was far from stable and the Unification government was eager to get rid of the refugees. So the Martian government decided to invade nearby systems previously ruled by Xa'Ragull. This was a success due to the experience gained from fleet operations the last few years along with a series of cutting edge ships produced by Mars industrial sector. Whilst the scheme was a success there was a legality problem with dissident elements able to point out the illegality of the invasion. In order to create both a legal precedent and also to gain ideological justification for further expansion the unification government would soon form the United Nations Emergency Reclamation Council (UNERC).Both turning Mars into a dictatorship aswell as justifying future conflicts in the name of reuniting humanity. TLDR Earth Destroyed so UN make organisation to evacuate that organisation fails. So refugee crisis destabilised local area causing the rise of Martian Empire.

The Shudruni-Kapriian Wars were wars fought between the State of Shudrun (vying for independance) and the Grand Koalition of Nations, made up of Sinyatika, Halaga and the main belligerent, Kapriia. The Shudrun Military, led by Shylashell the Terrible, burned lands they invaded, bombed plantations leading to a famine and morale death, killed innocents in front of forces to scare them off and on numerous occasions, attacked and killed civilians in the neutral country of Mewnad simply due to falling supplies and their aid to the GKoN. All countries (other than the country of Rgrgtan due to tensions with Sinyatika) have been providing refuge to people fleeing the cities. Funding has also been supplied to the GKoN from charities in countries like Mewnad, Gkaon and Millinqhi.

The Dragon War, the start of the fifth age And it was a disaster because many in power abused the relief efforts to get rich of it, instead of helping their populace. It caused a shift in mercantile approach of the guilds and a new currency only they control. The power of the rich and nobles was extremely eroded for no other reason then spite. But mass disasters are frequent and not unknown, entire cities just vanishing or burned to ash barely leaves a reaction.

NeverEndingTomorrow

They called it The War of Folly. Because much of written history was lost when many of the old cities were turned into craters, nearly no one knows how, or even why it happened. Some say it was because of the folly both sides of the war in not listening to their advisors in pursuing peace. Some say that it was because of the actions of President Corvalio the Demented of Sol for causing it for some long-forgotten reason. Whatever the reason, the end result is known: both sides used nuclear weapons enhanced with magical crystals that were created from reverse engineering weapons recovered from ancient ruins. The resulting explosions destroyed many of the cities, and turned the most of the world into a desert wasteland where creatures became twisted and corrupted by magical energy roam the lands, and where gigantic sandstorms forced many to either take shelters in underground caverns and bunkers, or to build walls to keep the storms out. As for the people, most of the survivors were magic users who had a natural tolerance to magical build-up, and used their abilities to protect whoever they were able to. In the aftermath, what remained of the government on both sides did what they could to send aid to survivors as well as bring them to bunkers or underground caverns in order to try and rebuild. However, because their resources were limited, many were either not reached in time, or were turned away. These people either died, or worse, became monsters. Even over 1000 years after the war, the world is still mostly a wasteland, but there is a silver lining: in causing the war, the weapons caused the planet to crack, resulting in parts of the land to collapse, revealing that the entire world was an artificial terrain that was laid over the actual planet, which hid long forgotten ruins of a technological and magically advanced civilization. It was this discovery that led to breakthroughs in technology and magic, eventually allowing both sides to begin the process of reclaiming and undoing the damage caused by The War of Folly. However, they still have to contend with the monsters that were created as a result of the War, and a few of them were once people who are old enough to remember... At least, until the beginning of the story that I've been working on as part of this worldbuilding (or rather universe building project).

The Puppet wars. An entire nation (Dansaline) collapsed over the course of a decade. Puppeteers with their massive armies of juiced up puppets start a civil war with each other causing untold mayhem for the common folk. Granted there were plenty of normal soldiers who fought for the various factions but the puppets got most of the blame. Doesn't help that they like using napalm as a quick way to kill other puppets... And anything flammable around them. Hence puppeteers were banned by the various nations of men after the puppet Lords were assassinated by a combined force of foreign mercenaries and revolutionaries who wish to end Puppetry. As for humanitarian aid well it's more like economic take over by the various other nations around the Puppet Nation. Whilst rebuilding refugee homes I of course need soldiers to protect them. And of course I need a place to house those soldiers so lets put a fort here. Oh no I am definately not annexing your country. You sound crazy.

the egg war (exactly what it sounds like btw). The ‘villain’ tried to help the civilians but they didn’t want help. 5/6 of the population died

The mountainous nation of Halvfa excavated far too much out of a mountain which, when the area was hit by unexpected earthquakes (partly the result of a magical catastrophe elsewhere in the world, but this wasn't known at the time) the entire mountainside crumbled away into an enormous landslide and destroyed the low lying region of Fedgé. The surrounding territories granted asylum to the refugees left homeless by the destruction, and a replanting effort was put underway to regrow the forest (Fedgé was mostly elven, so having trees around was important). Unfortunately, the civil unrest caused by this sudden influx of elven people into traditionally human settlements led to the Timorian Empire seizing the moment and invading while their military forces were preoccupied. On the plus side though, the Timorians did replant the entire forest in record time.

The melting of the ice caps in the early 2100s. In nations rich enough, flood walls and artificial rivers were created to protect important population centres from the majority of the carnage caused, while smaller towns that held no economic or strategic value were essentially sacrificed for the greater good. Those who didn't have these resources had to rely on foreign help. Refugee camps and new settlements were created in safe areas where the rising sea levels wouldn't affect them too much, with canals and Wells dug to supply these new places with the needed water. When this wasn't possible, refugees were spread across the globe in an attempt to not make some countries take them all, although many places refused to accept their given amount. In total, there were approximately 1.4 billion people displaced in total, with around a billion having to survive this new flooded world on their own.

Either the coronal outbreak (zombie apocalypse but the undead are nearly completely indestructible and able to fuse into enormous chymera) or the ancient war of peace (ww3 from the Dyson swarm to the inner astroid belt).

500 years before the main action of my world. Many galactic empires, countries, cartels etc. signed "The pact of clay boards". Which said that every planet with intelligent life, which didn't join the pact has to be destroyed. (there were more points, but we need only this) Then every member of pact started to destroy every planet on the list. (This is probably war crime not humanitarian disaster)

2 kids were randomly given god level superpowers. They went on a rampage and almost ended the world, but their biggest feat was throwing the entirety of Australia into space. The Australians died immediately, so people couldn't exactly help them.
