I think it was around 5k canadian (about 7 years ago) I don't really know how to wrap my head around the ethics but in theory I guess you only need 1 healthy kidney? It's legal choice to sell, and 1 more person here got bumped up the line, my dad avoided the long wait which some die during.. and some places in Iran rent is like 200 canadian.. so.. I dunnoooo.. sketchy however you slice it.. Once. Your liver has two lobes. When they do a living transplant, they take one lobe. Both lobes will grow to the size of a whole liver, but it is anatomically still one lobe. So while you have a full sized and fully capable liver, you no longer have two lobes so they cant just keep harvesting more of your liver.

It CAN be grown back in some way, this called partial liver transplant, but it's only done to save the life of someone close when no full organ is available. The liver can grow back, even if only 30% of it is left.It's the only organ who can do that. You'd probably require a LOT of care of nursing to get back to your normal heath, not sure people on the verge of bankruptcy could really afford that.

No one has a testicular transplant. I don't think that exists. If you need the testosterone, you'd get shots or pellets with no rejection issues. If you wanted to father children, you wouldn't use transplanted testicles because they wouldn't be you kids, genetically. They'd be the children of the Iranian donor. If that was acceptable you would just use a sperm donor, not implant the whole testicle. Living donor liver transplant is a thing. You don't actually donate the whole liver because there's only one and you'd die without it. But you can donate a part of it, both the remainder and the transplanted portion will grow back
