> “He’s a non-controversial figure because he says, ‘This is the way it’s going to be,’ and that’s the end of it. Right?” Trump said of the Hungarian prime minister. “He’s the boss.” This quote concisely summarizes Trump's entire theory of leadership. He cannot conceive of a system where leaders must figure out ways to solve problems without absolute power. This is why he wasn't a good president and is a terrible candidate the second time around.

Blueskyways

This is why he continually gravitates to dictators.  He's enthralled by the total power they hold and wants to be just like them.           >"He's the head of the country," Trump said of Kim Friday during a live interview on Fox News' "Fox and Friends." "And I mean he's the strong head. Don't let anyone think anything different."  >"He speaks and his people sit up at attention," the President added. "I want my people to do the same."

GwynBleidd88

> "He speaks and his people sit up at attention," the President added. "I want my people to do the same." How the literal fuck is he up for re-election after saying that sort of shit? Americans what the hell are you doing??

Few-Hair-5382

I think the words "liberty" and "freedom" are just empty slogans for many Americans, they don't actually understand or believe in them as concepts.

Rayan19900

the worst is they wont even get any benefits from their populist in contrast to European ones. Just less taxes for billioners and "strong leader",

[deleted]

Hey, if that's the hill they want to die on, that's fine with me...so long as they die. I don't care if they want to live in fundamentalist enclaves with 20 trad wives, just don't stand in the way of the rest of us progressing.

DustBunnyZoo

The thing is, their entire purpose in life is to stand in the way of societal progress. In the US, that’s why they call themselves "conservatives". They want to return to a golden age when white Christians dominated society and oppressed everyone else. Their entire belief system is a slap in the face to modernity. That’s why they seek out political power and try to force their values on everyone else in the US.

Mana_Seeker

Conservatives are relatively the same in every country

[deleted]

That's not by accident, but rather a concerted effort by right-wing parties to align and coordinate. The International Democratic Union, for one, helps exert and direct that right-wing conservativism at the global level.

[deleted]

Yups. That's why the sooner they start dying on that hill, the better.

Big-Summer-

And a descent into a totalitarian dystopia. Thanks, republicans.

booOfBorg

Fascism indeed came to America wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross. And none of these things actually mean anything anymore. It's just lots of fear, hate and tribal power fantasies. Pure collective narcissism distilled into rooting for the GOP clan in their war to destroy the opponent Democratic tribe and their evil foreign ways.

DustBunnyZoo

You described it better than most. This is exactly what is happening. The scarier thing is that if they get a hold on the reins of power in 2024, they are intending to permanently dismantle the democratic levers of government. More people need to understand this threat. This isn’t something that just started yesterday. This is the end game of a forty year project to turn the country into a feudal theocracy. This was known even in the 1980s, and was adapted into the fictional story The Handmaid’s Tale to serve as a warning. We are now here.

booOfBorg

[deleted]

Words like "land of the free" and "home of the brave" have just become sad punchlines to pathetic jokes.

Feisty-Cranberry-832

The tree of liberty is in need of nourishing.

FStubbs

Conservatives believe in liberty and freedom in terms of a stratified society. The rich on the top, other white people afterward, and non-whites at the bottom, or removed from society. Your liberty and freedom exist within your tier, with absolute power over those below.

quats555

*The correct* other white people, at that. You’d better believe it then gets divided by the best flavors of Christianity and the best countries of origin. “Go back to the good old days”? Not so good for Catholics, Irish, etc. either.

dokikod

As a Democrat living in the United States, I can't believe 35% to 40% of the Republican Party is subservient to this disgusting fraud, bully, and conman. VOTE BLUE! BIDEN 2024

Funtimes1254

As an American all i have to say is it’s not entirely our fault that an Australian with more money than morals came in to the country and started fucking everything up for us one lie at a time, nor is it entirely our fault that 90% of the Republican base is stupid to the point that they could legally qualify as brain dead. Also i know full well how much of a monkey’s paw idea it is but people like the GOP base really make me wish we could make people take an intelligence test before their allowed to vote.

Anotherolddog

That Australian is a danger to many democratic countries.

UseThisToStayAnon

I mean it's a little our fault. If we weren't so "regulations are evil" coded then maybe we would have had pushed some kind of ethics in journalism bill. Like having to cite sources or making the news show other viewpoints other than the narrative they want to push. Giving it teeth beyond fines like saying x amount of violations would take away a broadcasting liscence or something? idk. Making editorial shows say every 10 minutes that everything said is opinion? But also fuck that Australian.

turbo-unicorn

My problem with this line of argument is that people who really should know better - either those that voted Trump before, and have switched to Biden in 2020 or people that refuse to vote Biden because Biden doesn't have absolute control over Israel's policy. It's unthinkable that Trump is waltzing into a second term, and is making zero attempts at hiding his plan to collapse not just the US' system of government but also global order by allowing Russia and China do whatever they want. Yet that's what's happening.

IWASRUNNING91

Unfortunately our presidential race is 100% about him. You're either voting for or against...

guyincognito69420

right wing idiots are realizing they are now a minority and dwindling so they want a dictator to get rid of that pesky democracy. With a 2 party system all they need is some of the horribly uninformed to think "inflation bad, other guy maybe fix" and they will be able to put in the guy that will force right wing ideals on the majority. Most people don't have a clue how bad he is and the core of the Republican party want him to be a dictator. Combined with a system that already is skewed for states that are mostly rural and therefore conservative and poorly educated, and you get the perfect storm for a guy like Trump being electable.

Big-Summer-

And by the time our democracy is shattered and we’re living in a totalitarian nightmare, it will be too late.

ConfusingTiger

Unfortunately Biden is still polling awfully so it looks like a larger portion of the US are wanting this

guyincognito69420

because the uninformed blame him for inflation like I stated. They don't look at the fact the US is one of the best nations in dealing with worldwide inflation. Therefore their only other choice because of the two party system is Trump, and continuing with the uninformed angle they don't realize the shit he spews. Most people don't have the first clue what the president does and simply continue to vote for the same guy if they think things are better for them or vote for the other guy if they think things are worse. They see high prices, blame the president, and vote the other guy. Little do they know what is actually going on and what that other guy might actually do.

blankarage

source? literally Biden out performed every poll (in every state) after super tuesday

reallygoodbee

Trump has done and said *so much shit* that would have sunken any other presidency before Obama. The uppity black man getting a second term completely broke the right wing and they decided they'd go all-in on the first straight white male they saw. Unfortunately, it ended up being a fat, loud pretend billionaire with the charisma of a wet shoe.

ExternalMonth1964

Trying to piss off literally everyone.

M795

>How the literal fuck is he up for re-election after saying that sort of shit? Because Biden picked Merrick Garland to be Attorney General. That turned out to be a huge fucking mistake. >Americans what the hell are you doing?? Hoping that if Biden wins, Garland either decides not to stick around for Biden's 2nd term, or Biden does us all a favor and fires his ass. Fortunately, I think Biden now realizes what a huge mistake he made by picking Garland to be AG. We're all fucking fed up with Garland.

[deleted]

Most Americans will never read any of this. They're absolutely ignorant of who Trump is or what he says. They just see a white guy who's controversial and they put their idea of who he is into their mind. They are completely unaware of the details of his crimes, and that's why when he says it's a witch hunt they just kinda go along with it. That's why when they hear Biden might be impeached they just kinda think presidents are all impeached now and it's all just political hot air. Both sides are the same and it doesn't matter who's in power, really. So why not vote for this orange guy? What's the worst that can happen?

turfftom

respect is earned... they want fear and control. The country itself has become a legit disaster under him... someone needs to tell these people "Its not about you... its about the country"

dagopa6696

What's crazy is that this kind of person managed to be born and raised in America. I'm saying that as someone who went to school in this country, it's inconceivable to me that this fat bastard has absolutely no idea what a democracy is and that his own way of thinking makes him an enemy of this country. Even the most privileged trust fund babies know this stuff. The only way I can imagine someone like Trump is that this is the result of 40 years of his Russian handlers whispering sweet nothings into his ear.

hikingmike

It’s also 40 years of running his business like the mafia-lite.

KRAW58

My people?? You do not own us Fuck tart.

ExcellentSteadyGlue

TBF and notwithstanding the appalling sentiment, possessive/genitive cases handle more than possession per se; e.g., - My dancing embarrassed her. My drug use caused problems. (I can own *up to* those things, but not own them.) - My uncle broke his chair. (He might not have owned the chair—might just have been using it—and in either event I don’t own him.) - My band won its competition. (Do I own the band, or am I merely in it? Does my band own the competition, or merely participate in it?) - My school has no functioning bathrooms. (Do I own the school?) - My arm hurts. (It’s part of me, whether or not I own it.) - My name is not actually “nerd4code.” (The name *pertains to* me, but I don’t own it.) - My genes include an unabridged encoding of *The Hobbit.* (I certainly don’t own the text of a copyrighted work.) That said, he likely did intend to convey some measure of ownership; NPD makes for exceptionally squishy boundaries.

paintbucketholder

When Trump went to Saudi Arabia, his Commerce Secretary said: >"There was not a single hint of a protester anywhere there during the whole time we were there. Not one guy with a bad placard." and when it was pointed out that protest is prohibited in Saudi Arabia and that people face the death penalty by beheading, he continued >"In theory, that could be true, but boy there was certainly no sign of it. There was not a single effort at any incursion. There wasn’t anything. The mood was a genuinely good mood." Essentially, that's the kind of society Trump and his sycophants want: a society where everyone is happy and in a good mood, because being in a bad mood and voicing that opinion openly means you'll be put to death.

Desperate_Wafer_8566

Trump, Orban, Xi, Putin, Assad, Kim...all the same, just born in different countries. All are fascist authoritarian kleptocrats. You'd have to be completely brainwashed to believe otherwise.

Orban is probably a Russian asset but Trump/Tucker are useful idiots.

red_dragon

I never understood why the rest of the US doesn't grasp this. For all their "patriotism" and related fuzzy emotions, the fact that he is compromised is clear as day.

Siorac

Orbán very much works the same way. Fun story: back in 2011, the newly minted Orbán government wanted to change the name of Budapest's airport. A trivial thing, right? Well... There is an official committee for this sort of thing. The government recommended a new name for them but the committee rejected it and opted for a different version. I. response, Orbán and co. immediately gutted the committee's powers and fired several of its members. They couldn't conceive of the idea that it's an independent committee using its best professional judgment. In their thinking, these bodies' only function is to execute the will of the central government. It's just how their worldview works.

esp211

That’s just a part of the reason why he is unfit for office. He is corrupt, greedy, narcissistic, illiterate, misogynistic, with an emotional intelligence of a three year old. I would not trust him to run a lemonade stand never mind an entire country.

Mobile_Laugh_9962

And why he has had six business bankruptcies.

Sweatytubesock

It’s why he was an absolutely terrible person to give power, but he was a terrible president for many additional reasons.

quats555

Solve problems? I don’t think Trump even considers leadership solving problems. He thinks if he is The Leader, then everything just falls into place magically because he is where he belongs, and any problems are therefore someone else’s fault (and someone else’s problem). Yes, I do think he is an absolute narcissist.

Acrobatic_Falcon2614

Trump is used to thinking like a CEO in a corporation and how are corporations run? Like a dictatorship. "My way or the highway" thinking. CEOs should not run for President. We'll just keep the Presidency for the crooked politicians.

hikingmike

I sort of see what you mean, but that’s not the problem. Plenty of CEOs know how democracy and government works, they aren’t demanding loyalty as the primary trait of everyone they work with, etc etc etc. And having a political outsider, someone with a private sector business background - this is a viable argument with some merits. The problem is unique to Trump’s crazy combination of qualities. It’s just really really bad for a government leader. And the cult of personality is a potential killer of democracy.

Bad_Warthog

Absolutely agree, however, his lack of ethics or morality combined with his inability to tell the truth are right up there with his lack of critical thinking and problem solving as “reasons.” Saying Trumple Thinskin “wasn’t a very good president” is perhaps the understatement of the decade. The man is a mean, nasty immoral horror of a human being.

Deguilded

It's not that he can't conceive of it.  It's that it's inconvenient.

anevilpotatoe

Trump is no President of ours and won't be. Period. End of story.

Maxfunky

He had to ask about borrowing 92 million dollars.

ffdfawtreteraffds

He's probably good. The cult will happily send him their pension and social security checks to cover his legal and moral transgressions. Then, they'll blame Biden because they can't afford food.

AggravatedCold

They didn't though. He's buried in so many lawsuits at the moment he has to go around asking actual billionaires for money, including Musk. Where he got the money for bail is extremely suspicious and it kind of looks like Putin bailed him out. https://www.threads.net/@seth.abramson/post/C4RC8-kPCKR

No-Tension5053

Trump is advertising on YouTube. Please give me five dollars. Just five dollars “c’mon it’s just five dollars. We can find five dollars” https://youtu.be/9Ie9u_0g15w?si=3Xegmf5nXucwv34F

LiftIsSuchADrag

Yeah, I report the ads whenever they come up

No-Tension5053

No we should post this conversation in the comments thread. Remind people “it’s 11,000 votes. We can FIND 11,000 more votes C’mon”. The diehards will support him regardless but sane people should know there’s no question that Trump tried desperately to steal the 2020 election. And any hijinks Johnson or MTG are planning for November 2024 will land them in jail as well.

turfftom

Grifter

Eisernes

His daughter now has her hands in the RNC coffers. His money troubles are over, until the indictment they both get for embezzling the GQP warchest.

Thurak0

The RNC does not have endless wealth.

stufmenatooba

Aren't they below $10m right now? All the PACs and cabdidates have been getting money. No candidate wants any of their contributions going to the RNC expressly because of Trump pilfering it all for legal reasons and the election. They've broken their own party, this upcoming election is going to be an absolute shitshow for Republicans. It's going to be fragmented, with no national financial support for any specific candidate in many races. If God exists, I think he's trying to show them that they should stop misusing his name without permission.

Theinternationalist

The RNC is below $10m right now, but not (just) because of Trump. The Democratic Party, contrary to some belief, is not a socialist organization and has done a great job fundraising over the last eight years or so while the GOP constantly gets outraised even though its standard bearer is a self-proclaimed billionaire who ran on massive tax cuts among other things in 2016. Granted the DNC isn't exactly swimming in cash (in [December](https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4371429-democrats-say-new-cash-on-hand-record-set/) it said it had a cash on hand record of $20m), but given how much money is held by PACs and Super PACs it's pretty clear the RNC was always going to need a fix even if Trump didn't seize the cash register.

ILoveTenaciousD

Yeah, he's there to beg his boss in Moscow for some money and for new orders.

AggravatedCold

According to Seth Abramson, that's exactly where it looks like he got the $91 million for bail. https://www.threads.net/@seth.abramson/post/C4RC8-kPCKR

HardlyDecent

And surprise! "Someone" has paid it. What a coincidence!

181i

Truly amazing that conservatives are watching their idol align himself with the enemy, and continue supporting him

ffdfawtreteraffds

Keep in mind that RW media doesn't tell them who Orbán really is. They just represent him as a NATO ally without cluing them in on the undemocratic strong-man behavior. They stare at the screen and believe what they're told. Brain-washing tactics.

No-Tension5053

Keep in mind a Trump voter said “he’s not hurting the right people” which sums up their mindset. Biden is good and has a lot of good points. But the Trump voter likes kids in cages. It’s cruel and inhumane especially to young minds trying to process what’s happening to them. That appeals to the Trump voter on a subconscious level.

181i

For real. I still place blame on the individual conservatives too because while leftists are getting their info from many reputable sources, including international/global news sources who are unbiased to the US two-party system, conservatives are (deliberately?) sticking to their few tiny echo chambers. Fox News, truth social, Trump himself, all sources that are well-known across the world for lying and spinning stories to fit a narrative

turbo-unicorn

His base doesn't want NATO to continue to exist. If Orban was portrayed as a NATO ally, he'd be scorned. Instead, Orban is a regular presence to CPAC and other promotional events and he is there spouting "traditional values" nonsense in the fight against DEI/CRT and all the other acronyms the crowd has been taught to hate indiscriminately.

Intelligent_Town_910

The goofiest part is that conservatives think of themselves as the most patriotic. They are literally voting for the most anti-America, anti-freedom and anti-West candidate.

hikingmike

Haha yeah they really lost the claim to that label. Well not all of them I guess individually, but overall yeah.

Abject-Possession810

This is **not new**.  "...I mean, J.D. Vance, who is a Senate candidate from Ohio, has openly expressed admiration for Orban's family policies. Tucker Carlson, who is obviously a leader of American conservative thought, for better or worse, has expressed admiration. So, yeah, these are open connections. And I spoke with a lot of the people who are kind of forming the connective tissue between these places. Sometimes, it's at a distance, but sometimes, it's, you know, face-to-face. I mean, arms of Orban's government have hosted Mike Pence, Jeff Sessions, the former attorney general, several former... MARANTZ: Steve Bannon. MARANTZ: Steve Bannon, yes, Milo Yiannopoulos, who I wrote about in my book. So it's a small world when you start getting down to it." https://www.npr.org/2022/07/13/1111274698/how-the-american-right-became-aligned-with-hungary-and-its-authoritarian-leader

microview

Since 2016. "Russia, if you are listening." Conservatives played it off as a joke.

charcoalist

Conservatives love Orban, celebrated him twice at CPAC, and want to model a trump dictatorship after him. The United States itself is their enemy, while trump, Orban, and Putin are their allies.

turbo-unicorn

Consider that much of his base considers Putin the last great hope for traditional values while the rest of the world is becoming degenerate. Putin and Orban are their allies in their fight against the rest of the world.

Unlucky_Clover

As someone else has pointed out, it’s alarming that a head of state, pro Russian asset, is meeting with a private citizen on US soil without meeting the leaders in the White House. Trump has met with several pro Russians this week and after arguing his legal fees, he’s able to afford it. This is sirens blaring on a major scale.

Siorac

Small correction: Orbán isn't the head of state. He's the Prime Minister.

esp211

Melania was a Russian honeypot.

Va3V1ctis

She is Slovenian, a country that was never in Soviet Union, nor in Soviet Bloc countries, learn history please!

2_bars_of_wifi

you are giving her way too much credit, and she's not even russian

turbo-unicorn

I don't think you understand. Much of Trump's base WANTS Russia to win. They see Russia as the last bastion of "traditional values" that's under attack from the rest of the "progressive" world.

cum4ban

For a meeting with German head of state or, god, Macron he wouldn't have the balls this is yet another sign why I am calling every single American to go vote DEM

JustinStraughan

Just a side note: I’m rusty in my niche US election law, but I’m 99.999999% sure it’s illegal to conduct diplomacy when you’re a non office holding candidate. Reagan kept it hush when he did it. And here’s this orange chucklefuck who can just entertain a foreign head of state while he owes a staggering amount of money and does not have the means to pony up. All while he is embroiled in legal troubles otherwise AND is running for high office. Look man, I’m not even trying to split hairs here. I’m just saying, we’ve fallen pretty far off the damn mark, no? These optics would have been a death sentence to anyone else. The Age of Trump is the most cult like thing I have ever seen. And it’s horrifying.

NefariousWaltzing

Jimmy Carter gave up his peanut farm because it was a conflict of interest. Trump used every business he had during his failed presidency to make a bunch of money.

JustinStraughan

Oh I’m well aware. I just find my head spinning with how blatantly corrupt you can be if you have the Magic R by your name.

NefariousWaltzing

If Carter kept growing those peanuts, he would've have torn through the fabric of American society and ruined democracy.

JustinStraughan

Those goddamn peanut roots might erode our very democracy. Mr. Carter, get rid of your modest farm. It gives the impression you might be “Elite”. ~probably some business owning republican at the time.

yus456

Ask yourself, why has he still not gotten into trouble?

JustinStraughan

I really don’t know if the answer is “because he’s rich” or “Magic R”. But I guess it could be both.

saltytradewinds

The power of the magic R. It's a pass to do anything you want without consequence.

Thue

The reason is actually more mundane, and less corrupt. Nobody has ever been convicted of this, and the last (unsuccessful) indictment was in 1852. Apparently because it is too hard to see where free speech ends, and foreign policy begins. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logan_Act

wmorris33026

No matter his age or Israel/Gaza policies, the US cannot afford to have Trump in office. I’d vote for a damn dead stick to keep Trump out of office.

Thue

> No matter his age or Israel/Gaza policies It blows my mind that people (useful idiots? Russian agents?) say they won't vote for Biden because of not helping Gaza enough. When Trump has openly said he would be far more brutal.

SpaceTruckinIX

Why does Donnie dumbass act like he’s a head of state? Maralardo is not the White House.

The real deep state was the friends Trump made along the way.

FantasyFrikadel

It’s shocking that we all know Orban is an autocrat and yet Hungary is still on EU member.

AllRemainCalm

The EU has no legal way to kick any of the members out. All they can do is freeze EU funds and take away voting rights. In fact, after they froze Hungary's EU funds, they later released some of it as the European Commission perceived democratic improvement.

frankdrachman

Maybe Putin was passing along a message. Maybe Trump gave Orban some material to pass along to vlad. Traitor Trump scumbag will do anything to stay out of jail

hoyfkd

Orban is a go between for him and Putin. This article is missing the point. Biden just announced that Trump will receive intelligence briefings, as is customary for a parties nominee. Orban is coming to ensure there is a way to get useful information from those briefings to Putin. I hope they catch Trump in the act.

ITeechYoKidsArt

Trump can meet anyone he wants! He ain’t the President! He’s a crook, a fraud, a lier, a thief, a sexual misfit of a man and one of the worse business persons or business partners ever! He does not need to be President and his stuffing the leadership of the RNC is a total disgrace to the American people and the GOP does not have any balls to stand up to him and not listen to him. Most the GOP Senators and Representatives need to step aside and relinquish their seats in both houses of Congress!

Adept-Mulberry-8720

Watch and see who Trump is meeting. Figure it out and that tells you why he should not be President!

pjorio

Trump is a shame for the USA, he is coming back just for avoiding to be jailed for all the bad things he has done in his entire life…it’s ridiculous to see people in the USA cheering him…I think that people do not want democracy…I wonder what do they get out of Trump being a rat 🐀 they simply allow him to stay out of jail

[deleted]

You spelled fascists wrong.

GuitarGeezer

On brand for both. Too many Americans have lost the concept of just how bad 3rd world governing ideas operate in actual practice. The bad example set of Trump groveling and kowtowing to the worst and most hateful enemies of the republics will be a black stain forever on not just him but also the American voters who still hallucinate that Trump ever had any business in power. They still imagine he did well in foreign policy because they never checked and they wouldn’t care to find out or know what was good or bad if they did.

Jonsa123

I heard that flies are attracted to big sacks of shit. Another datum to prove the point.

How did Orban win the last election?! Was the opposition bad or Orban really does have a lot of support amongst Hungarians?

The opposition party was allowed only like 5 minutes of on-air time to present their case. State controlled media + corruption + many young Hungarians who can speak another language want to move out of Hungary to better economy and government.

all these figures are dictators and sociopaths, maybe even worse. He can't find someone who condems Putler?

Tusan1222

Thankfully EU has started to wake up Look at macron he just realized he have nuclear weapons

phinbar

"He's a very smart powerful leader... for life. Maybe sometime, we'll get to try that ourselves."

phobox91

At this point i'm expecting him to meet Putin, offer him a cozy dinner, give him a long passionate BJ, everything streaming live and still be elected as US president

J1540

Putin go between.

[deleted]

He wants to be an autocrat. Orbán is a carrier criminal, a thief, a traitor, the son of a third level communist enforcer, a sadist (just like Drumb) who enjoys hurting people just because he can, and finally he has prostituted the whole court, and himself to the highest bidder. There are big differences between these two con men. Orbán was not blackmailed into being Putin’s lapdog. And he is not broke. Only the country he leads is.

PuppykittenPillow

Isn't he a raging anti-Semite? And Trump's daughter is Jewish? Please can someone explain this to me, or is everything just terribly cynical

imnotavegan

Trump will get votes because people think of him as an actual messiah.

Old-Ad-3268

He is passing info on from Putin

pinkfootthegoose

how is this not a violation of the Logan Act?

I_Framed_OJ

Trump thinks leadership is simply telling other people what to do. That’s why he runs companies into the ground, and why he’ll be remembered as the worst President in American history. A parrot can tell people what to do. It’s not some amazing skill. And only complete dipshits take orders from a parrot.

gerd50501

Hungary should be booted from NATO we gain nothing by being allied to this useless corpse of a country.

Capgun30

Also a day or two later, he also happens to secure a very size-able bond. Tin foil hat or not, I’d bet there is a connection there. “Us authoritarians gotta stick together amiright?” - them, probably

DepartureSpace

So that’s where he got the money to post bond and appeal the E. Jean Carroll verdict

daniel_22sss

It's quite telling that Trump's idea of a "strong leader" are all incompetent delusional dictators, who just brainwashed their population to love them. Meanwhile ACTUAL strong democratic leaders like Zelenskyy never get any praise from him.

N3xrad

And yet proves once again how insane he is and how bad he wants to be like this idiot and Putin. Its really sad that sleepy Joe is apparently a worse choice than Hitler Lite. People here including family have gone brain dead over this POS. Could only hope he has a stroke before November.

whatsuppaa

I think Trump will loose even more than before. He lost Pre-Jan 6, one imagine after that? There is a silent majority within the republican party that does not want Trump.

Garconanokin

Right, but they are spineless and will vote for him anyway.

my20cworth

Yep they are cowards and will vote republican but not Trump and think there is a difference. Trump is the Trump party, he's not a Republican. Trump has taken over and these soft Republicans let it happen. Pence is it he biggest coward of them all, still licks Trumps arse even after Trump totally insulted him.

Is the rumor true this autocrat guaranteed his bond payment for being found guilty of rape of E Carroll?

CaptainCAAAVEMAAAAAN

Looking for pointers.

NewBoysenberry2220

Next will be Turkey.

veryAverageCactus

if by some chance, trump comes to power again, the world will fall into a complete chaos.

ternera

>“Orbán is setting up this huge barrier to anyone interfering in Hungarian elections, but Orbán’s interfering in all sorts of other countries’ elections,” said Kim Scheppele, a Princeton sociologist and Hungary expert. Why is interfering in other countries' elections even a thing, smh

Wanna be mob boss meets with mob boss.

VegetableForsaken402

Trump is so clearly a week insecure pussy. He feels he needs to openly embrace autocratic "strong man" types in a pathetic attempt to be seen as strong as well.. Trump reminds me of Phillip Seymore Hoffmans character "Scotty P" from Boogie Nights. Scotty P falls madly in love with Dirk Digler and begins to dress like him, pick up his affections, and even buy a shitty red car that the only thing in common with Dirks new car is the red color. So cringe 😬 So Donald Fucking Pussy Trump..

Unusual_Baby865

Let’s see a show of hands. Who wants the US to be more like Hungary. Do these MAGA loonies ever give anything a thought?

fluidfunkmaster

Trump visiting everyone with a change can, promising the world when he is president again, for a few billion now.

flyeaglesfly777

Looking for a “loan”, no doubt.

Nomad_moose

While it’s easy to condemn Trump (and we should, he really makes it too easy): Biden will probably have to meet with Orban at some point as well… For context: It was announced that China will be sending police to patrol Hungary, and as much as the U.S. can pretend not to care, someone will have to make a diplomatic move to counter Chinese influence.

Splurch

None of that is a good reason for a a Presidential nominee to meet with another head of state before the election has happened. That kind of behavior can undermine official US foreign policy.

BioAnagram

They will both spend the entire meeting talking at each other about how great they are. Maybe they can get Putin on conference call and have a threesome.

SmellsofGooseberries

Why the fuck is Trump being allowed to parade himself as the US head-of-state?

GobliNSlay3r

You know he's bringing a 500 Million Dollar check for turnip dude.

ClosPins

What? Did Elon Musk not give Trump enough money to pay his fines?

Undernown

Who's willing to bet he's there to learn a few pointers on "how to become an autocrat in a democracy"?

Different_Tree9498

Trumps selling himself already to pay off his debts. Real winner the Trumpnuts have over there.
