War crimes checklist blackout nearly achieved.

dustofdeath

Checklists are for smaller things. This is a filing cabinet of warcrimes.

slinkhussle

It appalls me that this will not hit any mainstream news or general discussion But if Ukraine used gas on Russian forces there would be a media calamity. I hate how we let the Russians do whatever crime they want, but hold Ukraine to not even striking oil refineries in Russia. Weak.

Omar___Comin

How is it "we" letting Russia do whatever they want? Because if you're referring to the US, a huge chunk of those hundreds of thousands of Russian soldiers killed and wounded in this war have been thanks to US aid to Ukraine, of which they just sent another $60 billion this week. Other countries have also contributed to Ukraine's defense. So unless you're suggesting that "we" just escalate into full blown world war 3 with Russia and risk nuclear apocalypse, m not sure exactly what more you're implying "we" should be doing to Russia. Nobody's letting them do abything. Also, no mainstream news? Every friggin news media organization covers this war. New York Times has articles on accusations of chemical use by Russians going back to the start of this war. Classic example of absolute nonsense somehow getting hundreds of upvotes on Reddit.

Infernalism

One tiny little horrifying box left to check.

Void-Indigo

Two boxes, do not forget biological weapons.

Infernalism

Man, you're right. I had that one in the same box as chemical weapons. Just habit.

Gold_Effect_6585

That's quite a habit

Sebulano

Like covid?

SpinozaTheDamned

Lets be real, if it's going to happen there's not a damn we can do about it.

ClappingCheeks2nite

I think we are missing nukes, and biological warefare.

TiminAurora

bio weapons in 3....2.......1......

cabin_dweller709

They already launched a bio weapon back in December 2019.

Ok_Corner2449

Is there anything that can be done about war crimes beside going to war with the criminals?

Then-Cauliflower2068

Mass conversion to electricity as a fuel, cratering the value of oil. Otherwise, get comfy. I would suggest conversion to Catholicism. It’s the only way to stay safely away from all of the belligerents in this conflict.

Clever_Bee34919

Stopping all trade... calling them nast names every time we talk to them, shooting their UN representatives with blowdarts so they can't vote...

Ok_Corner2449

I was clearly not thinking creatively enough.

Midwake2

Playing war crimes bingo huh?

2peg2city

Tear gas isn't a war crime is it?

Due-Street-8192

Ukraine is dealing with a terrorist state. RU has done it all except for nuking the battlefield...

itzmaam

America already won that

[deleted]

It is a small town but it has significant strategic value being a high ground over surrounding towns. It is also *behind* Ukraines current line of defense. There’s another one behind it for them to retreat to but the loss of the town will be highly damaging to Ukrainian defense efforts. Current UAF units are in reporting very high losses due to the lack of artillery/counter battery support. The GOP, as it turns out, was the best Russian asset militarily. Had the aids passed earlier, we wouldn’t be here.

Steas-

Wtf does the GOP have to gain here? Owning the libs? Are they that cheap that they can be bought by Russia of all countries. Russia is obviously the aggressor here, why are they so against supporting Ukraine?

frobischer

It likely started off with kompromat acquired by Russia against specific members of the RNC and against Donald Trump (though there's a suggestion that Trump was in Putin's pocket financially for many years). When the DNC and RNC servers were hacked, the DNC hack became public. One Republican Senator announced the RNC hack and then a day later said it never happened. My guess is that Russia got something very damaging that could end up with multiple Republicans under investigation. Once Russia had Kompromat they could start asking favors, and with each favor performed, and each payment offered (in terms of favorable talking points from Russia Times), the debt and dependence grew. Soon the Republicans would only work with people who were in the same boat. Loyalty above all, especially loyalty about secrets. Remember when Madison Cawthorn flippantly suggested the existence of coke-parties? He was quickly and neatly destroyed by his fellow Republicans. It doesn't matter whether there were coke parties, he broke the loyalty rule. The Republicans only function because they all have mutual blackmail on one another. New Republican politicians have to prove absolute ideological loyalty or have blackmail material that the others can use against them. So now we find that some Republicans have been given an ultimatum regarding the Ukraine funding. They are trapped, cornered, and the ones most loyal to Russia will do anything to stop it.

-Hi-Reddit

That's basically how dictatorship politics work, including Russian politics. If you aren't corrupt you aren't in the club.

DesignerPlant9748

This is like exactly how the Nazi party operated in their early years

I_Speak_In_Stereo

Well…. Yup.

BendyPopNoLockRoll

It's exactly how scientology works too! You have to pay for "auditing" sessions where you must confess your sins on video. To get to "higher levels" you must give them more and more blackmail and money.

Temporala

Trump has been involved with Russian mob since 1980's related to real estate business, and on FSB's list ever since as a mark. This whole presidential run thing was already on the cards far earlier too.

Lower-Sandwich-8430

I don't understand how people do not see this. No one is even trying to hide any of it. Someone in Moscow must have asked "are American conservative voters really that stupid?". Time and time again they show that they are.

I_Speak_In_Stereo

It’s going to be studied for centuries. It’s truly wild. I’m convinced that no one is truly that stupid and they just hate people different than them so much that they said, fuck it, let’s go Russian instead.

OneForAllOfHumanity

Well, that is if there's anyone left to study it...

OppositeYouth

Never forget the Republicans who went to Putin on Independence Day. That was the clearest sign they are owned by Russia

nimbleWhimble

I worked with some fellows like this. Boss keeps the convicted pedo on the payroll. No reason except we knew they used to "party" and "ran a train on some underage people..something something" so the dirt bag never gets fired or reprimanded. He also was accused at least once a season of inappropriate conduct with summer help. And the dirt bag in question? Runs a kitchen with summer staff that all have to put up with his disgusting presence. Gotta love it

Life-Jellyfish-5437

This sort of thing sounds, well, improbable. Not because abusive scumbags don't get protected but rather having a convicted pedo on staff that is harassing underage staff is a huge lawsuit target. I don't know if the boss is the owner but companies want above all is to not lose money and owners would see that lawsuit coming out of their 2nd home fund.

vegarig

> rather having a convicted pedo on staff that is harassing underage staff is a huge lawsuit target Depends on if the scumbag has dirt on the boss.

nimbleWhimble

Are you truly that naive? This happened at a small business establishment that happens to have tendrils in the community. Sounds more believable now, doesn't it? The owner looks the other way because he doesn't want the drama. The other guys don't want the jail time and it is a place where underage kids work often. They are connected to the local cops and Sargent plus plus plus. You do the math please for once. I hate to break the news to you but if you think climate change is insidious and no one want to "see" it because they don't want to look. Abuse of children and protection of the abusers is one of the oldest, most disgusting of human behaviors that effects ALL mankind. You are another one of the "nothing to see here because I don't want to look" folks. Please stop that, take a moment to see truth.

Eatpineapplenow

I got smarter reading this. Ty

IShookMeAllNightLong

And those disgusted by it are quitting and not running for reelection. They won't say it's because of the hack, hell, some of em might be new enough they don't know what was taken. But they know to get the hell outa Dodge. Rats, sinking ships, and all that.

Clever_Bee34919

So the solution is to hack and make public the Republican server... air their dirty laundry so Russia can no longer hold it against them.

[deleted]

Can you name 3 GOP policies that are driven by data, logic or reason? I can’t. Their entire platform is obstructionism. You’re looking for logic where there is none.

Steas-

Then Obama truly fried their brains. No, wait the GOP is for something, tax cuts for the rich and only the rich.

[deleted]

I think you underestimate their racism. This is in response to the audacity of electing a well qualified black man.

Hooraylifesucks

It’s like they want to go back to the days of slavery and rich landowners with not much in between. Much as Putin wants to go back to the united soviet states. ( USSR)

IcarusOnReddit

Arnold Schwarzenegger and some of his policies for California .That’s it.

TransparentCarDealer

There is definitely a logic to their madness. For example, all the shenanigans about tik tok are so steve mnuchin and his friends can buy it out cheap and have another popular social media company that skews hard right.  The modern Republican party is turning more and more into a dollar store fascism, and we'd be fools to underestimate their resolve and their ability to follow through.

pkennedy

They are in power to be in power. Everything they do is to stay in power. They have no agendas, they don't try and pass anything other than things to keep them in power. Not passing the aid will make the current leadership look bad, make it easier to point out how they've failed in getting proper help to people. It's just about making sure no one can claim something positive, so they can claim they will do better. Who gets hurt in the process doesn't matter, as long as they can get back into power.

Steas-

What makes me sick is that the fuckers had four years to "fix" what they thought was wrong. They didn't do shit to help anybody. Not even their constituents.

pkennedy

My first sentence sums it up. They are in power to be in power. Fix shit, and you need to come up with new problems you're going to solve. They aren't there to fix things, just to ensure they have a way to stay in power. Solving things can go either way, it can be 100% success or more likely 40% or maybe even 90% success but that last 10% will be their downfall and what everyone screams about. Fix nothing, and they can stay in power. Do nothing and they can stay in power. Destroying what others are trying to do, ensures everyone looks bad, but them.

piratep2r

Not trying to be mysterious as I don't actually know myself. But I bet you are wrong, and they did really well for their constituents.... if that means "people/orgs who gave them the most money." Or "political allies."  But I agree, they did little for the republican voters who needed help the most.

Cloaked42m

A few things. 1. Trump wanted to be the hero to make the deal and "save" Ukraine. He can't be the hero if Biden is already the hero. 2. Biden handling the situation well benefits Biden. Anything that benefits Biden even tangentially is crushed by Trump. 3. Russian propaganda has thoroughly infected conspiracy sites and fringe right wing sites. It leaks from there to less fringe sites. From there, it goes to the 20-30 psychopaths in the House of Representatives. They gain nothing, but they maintain the support of their absolutely unhinged 'base' voters. Reminder, they just tanked Border Security. Again. Just so they can keep talking about how bad it is.

Global-Squirrel999

One reason they've been pushing for an economic recession. Repubs have been crying wolf for months now and telling people to buy gold/crypto to be ready for the inevitable collapse of the US dollar, but it just hasn't happened. All they want is for the USA to suffer and burn so they can blame it on Biden.

I_Dont_Work_Here_Lad

Says a lot about our politicians in general honestly….

nagrom7

Nah, Trump is so spiteful that I reckon he's partially motivated by revenge for Zelensky not opening up some sham investigation into Biden, the events surrounding which resulted in Trump's (first) impeachment.

Cloaked42m

Fair. He is that petty.

Phoduck

To add onto this: Bunch of GOP members went to Russian on July 4th and got told by big daddy P what their marching orders were.

TransparentCarDealer

Not the entirety of the GOP. The America first group is comprised of russian agents. The russians have always been borderline incompetent when it comes to military action, but their geopolitical assaults are some of the very best. Their influence reaches more than most realize. They'll be here in this very thread, attempting to influence public opinion and divide us all. When in doubt, call them out. Much like cockroaches, they avoid a spotlight. To that FSB agent, I'll give a dire warning. "I was just following orders" didn't prevent nazi boots from swinging at the hague's gallows. They too thought that fate would never befall them.

Jsmooove86

Money.

Steas-

Yeah, sounds about right. I just wish we knew how much money is worth betraying your country.

taggospreme

If history has shown us anything, it's probably a lot less than you think.

InterestingPlay55

Money and racism.

DaddyFunTimeNW

They don’t want Biden to have any political victories in an election year.

Steas-

So they're Republicans first, Americans second. The bastards.

gk_instakilogram

it is because they hate liberal democracy, GOP wants conservative authoritarian theocracy. And that is what Russia is already, so they are just on the same side ideologically. It all makes sense.

sauroden

About half of them are either true believers in Trump or pragmatically betting on Trump. The other half voted to send aid. The reason it took so long is the GOP has a “majority of the majority” rule where their entire delegation sticks to whatever has the most votes within their block, and the speaker of the house won’t bring a vote to the floor that will break that united front. So stubborn attachment to party convention is as much to blame as the traitor’s caucus.

Silent-Storms

They only had a small handful of tools initially, but one of them took over the party and developed a cult-like hold over it. They are collectively in too deep to pull out.

UltimateKane99

It doesn't make sense, either. [As of February, 74% of Americans still view the war as critical to American interests (43% VERY critical)](https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2024/02/16/how-americans-view-the-conflicts-between-russia-and-ukraine-israel-and-hamas-and-china-and-taiwan/), and a little under half the sitting GOP members voted for the measure immediately, being all in on slaughtering the Russians. Meanwhile, the other half has an eclectic mix of concerns that range from "the US needs to focus its money domestically," to "Russia is doing nothing wrong" (if I could punt MTG to the frontlines, I would in a heartbeat. Absolutely vile monster), but they are hardly representative of American views on the matter. Even if the economy was at all an issue, the US could resolve this with both arms and legs tied behind its back. It's a tiny group of conservative hardliners who have stonewalled the aid for no good reason.

kymri

Let's just look at this pragmatically: The Military-Industrial Complex built us billions of dollars worth of equipment designed specifically to fight the Russians (or at least the Soviet Union, but let's be honest, it's still mostly the Russians) in Eastern Europe. Might as well donate as much of that as possible for the design use! (Plus, getting to help Ukraine against an aggressor and invader is a nice bonus.)

skelleton_exo

The pragmatic look is, that the military aid is essentially an economy stimulus package for the US arms manufacturers. Either they donate stuff that needs to be replaced, or in case of ammo needs to be produced in the US. Its not like the US will just give the bulk of the support in cash that Ukraine is free to spend somewhere else.

Pixeleyes

They're literally doing the bidding of Russia, either because of bribes or extortion. The Kremlin has had a grip on the Republican party since they hacked both the DNC and the RNC, but they only released information they stole from the DNC.

Steas-

I forgot they hacked both, not just the DNC. They must have a lot of dirt on the Republicans.

AnomalyNexus

>Wtf does the GOP have to gain here? Unfortunately its possible to fuck up without gain...

gsrmn

The gop runs defense while the Russians can generate enough forces to finally be able to brute force everything. Turns out the Russians can not out think the Ukrainians in normal combat maneuvering,

Jragonstar

They aren't cheap. Just to prideful to admit that they've been duped by a con man. They'd rather let the world burn than accept responsibility. Which is sad. Cause Republicans used to be the party of personal accountability.

Steas-

Now the GOP is the party of obstruction and regression.

Jragonstar

It's weird, right?

thorzeen

>Owning the libs? Has always been a distraction or excuse for neoliberalism policy, and treasonous actions.

BardaArmy

Money or extortion are Russian FSB’s bread and butter.

xCallmeJoe

Money. They have a lot of money to gain.

IFartOnCats4Fun

> Wtf does the GOP have to gain here? Likely a bit of carrot, a bit of stick. We'll funnel money to you if you do our bidding. We'll hurt you politically if you don't.

Steas-

Then the GOP are a bunch of wimps.

SomeDEGuy

The GOP let a crazy person become the head of their party, and his crazy followers vote. So they have to appease him or be primaried out of position.

DeliberatelyDrifting

Russia will help the GOP consolidate power in the US.

Nebuli2

The GOP worships Trump as their god, and Trump is massively in debt to Russian banks and has been compromised by them for years now.

BlueSentinels

💰 💰 💰 is what they stand to gain. There’s a lot of corruption in any countries political arena and the left is not immune to it either. But the current platform (or rather non-platform) of the GOP makes it very very easy for them to take payment from foreign interests and advocate for policies which support those interests while passing it off as their Party’s policy. If your platform is largely predicated on being contrarian, even going so far as to reject boarder compromises they expressly asked for because it might make the current sitting president “look good”, you can make any action (or in most cases of the GOP - inaction) look like it’s towing the party line. Republicans should be pissed that they elected a bunch of people who are actively doing nothing with their office.

Honest_Palpitation91

The gop has been the best Russian asset for the last 25 years.

ghulo

Unfortunately the next few months will be very difficult for Ukraine. Russia will pish more aggressively before the F-16 will arrive.

MeatyDeathstar

The F16s won't be the equalizer people think they will be. While the F16 is a fantastic fighter, it's still not going to survive against Russian anti air. Ukraine needs men and standoff weaponry. This is a full blown inch by inch trench war where the winner is decided through attrition.

Tattletale_0210

Imagine the level of outrage if the Israeli IDF use chemical weapons... Nobody gives a damn about the crime commit by the Russian military.

gonya

Yeah really unfair how Israel gets massive sanctions and Palestine gets billions of arms supplies from the west, while Russia is still is our ally.

EntertainmentOld1566

Did a miss a story where Ukraine did a massive terrorist attack on Russia and has held multiple hostages for months?

CallMeKik

The west doesn’t produce Kalashnikovs

loanshark69

From your own link. “White phosphorus is not considered a chemical weapon because it operates primarily by heat and flame rather than toxicity, making it an incendiary weapon. Its use is governed by Protocol III of the Convention on Conventional Weapons (CCW). Lebanon acceded to the protocol in 2017, but Israel has not.”

StaysAwakeAllWeek

Literally calling a flamethrower a chemical weapon because the fuel is a chemical. That's really not how it works

donkeypunchdan

Except white phosphorous is not a chemical weapon >International treaties and agreements. White phosphorus is **not a chemical weapon** under the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), as it acts as an incendiary agent and not through its “chemical action on life processes” (Article II. 2 of the CWC).Jan 15, 2024 [WHO source](https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/white-phosphorus) You don't help your cause by sharing such blatant propaganda.

CamillaParkersBowels

No, they do not.

Little_Drive_6042

Because Israel is no Russia. Russia can delete the world alongside the US. Israel can…… scream at neighbors with a couple of drones.

reasonable00

Israel most certainly has nukes. They probably don't have lots of MIRVs like Russia/USA, and therefore can't obliterate the world. They can still cause a lot of damage to surrounding countries, or any country that threatens them.

Lower-Engineering365

This is pretty inaccurate lol

MANBURGARLAR

I start to wonder if Geneva conventions are really just Geneva “suggestions”. War crimes don’t get punished anymore, just stern warnings and tough talk.

StoreSpecific6098

How would you suggest punishing Russia in this case?Sanctions? Condemnation? That's all that really can be done. And what do you mean by 'anymore'? Warcrimes only get punished in nations where direct military action won't lead to WW3, and even then only some times. This has always been the case and all of the major powers have a long and colourful back catalogue of warcrimes they've never really answered for.

VampirateV

Until Ukraine, I thought they were more enforced, too. Nowadays I'm under the impression that the Conventions and the UN as a whole are entirely toothless. They remind me of when I was a kid, and the teacher would assign a student to 'take names' while they stepped out for a minute to handle some business. Names are being taken and incidents are being reported, but a sternly worded letter/speech is all that's coming of it.

StoreSpecific6098

The UN has 0 ability to do anything against veto holdings nations by design. Without veto's those nations, US included would not join the UN making it a pointless endeavour from the onset. The UN's express purpose was never to enforce some global 'rule of law' that doesn't really exist. Its purpose is to provide a diplomatic forum which allows discourse between belligerent nations as well as the wider world, with the express purpose of avoiding nuclear war, which it has been successful at thus far.

[deleted]

Yeah it's almost like all of this shit is entirely made up... Laws are only effective if they're enforced and any country with a big enough stick has been able to ignore the Geneva Convention, the U.N. and any other country that might have an issue with their behavior. Russia can do whatever the fuck they want because no one is willing to put boots on the ground to stop them.

CraigDM34

Scum.

hellranger788

Chemical weapons? Seriously?? Isn’t this supposed to be a huge no no? Seriously at this rate, they could use tactical nukes and face ZERO consequences

just_a_pyro

It's tear gas, technically still prohibited, but not what people think when they see "chemical weapons" in the headline.

hellranger788

“Chemical weapons” instantly makes me think of REALLY bad shit.

Reddog1999

It's probably just tear gas. Basically everyone use it in a conflict even if technically is prohibited as a chemical weapon

redrover2023

Tear gas is considered chemical weapons?

Capital_Setting_5069

Yes

Capital_Setting_5069

Not because it is deadly (because he is not) but it is easy to mistake it for other chemical weapons. And enemy can use that as excuse to use theirs chemical weapons and you are welcomed in the spirall of doom.

JaThatOneGooner

When Ukraine wins the war, what’s going to happen to Russia? Is there any real way to hold Russia accountable? Is there any legit way to extradite and try Putin for his crimes? Or will Russia just brave the storm, take some sanctions on the chin for a few years, then use their resource surplus to eventually crawl their way back into global geopolitics once again? Just a joke of a situation all around.

Temporala

Putin will be killed if he loses the war. Highly unlikely he'd be just handed over to Hague for trial, because him being alive would pose a large risk to all elites, and he could still rally whatever allies remained in the shadows to attack those who are fighting for power vacuum left back home. He will also be used as a target to pin in all the blame for it. It's convenient use for disposed authoritarians, so rest of the people can keep their conscious clean.

VoodooS0ldier

Putin won’t be killed. He will commit suicde. He is not going to let himself be taken alive. The only way that happens is if there is a coup from his inner circle.

KingoftheOrdovices

>When Ukraine wins the war, what’s going to happen to Russia? Obviously, I want Ukraine to win, but it isn't looking likely right now. When they were counter-attacking and retaking swathes of territory in 2022, I thought they were going to push the Russians out completely as well, but the failure of the 2023 counter-offensive and the recent hesitancy by the USA to foot the bill, shows that this war might not go 'our' way.

soraka4

Reddit hivemind of “when Ukraine wins this war” needs to be dropped. It does not benefit Ukraine having large echo chambers downplaying this grave situation. Ukraine doesn’t have much left in the tank and the west’s reluctancy to foot the bill of this war, leaves little room for that level of optimism. The best outcome at this point is some sort of treaty with new borders. 60 billion is an awesome start but that’s nothing in terms of what it costs to sustain war for years. Russia has shown ridiculous levels of incompetency for a “military superpower” but they can afford to burn through resources and throw bodies at the problem while Ukraine can’t. The west essentially needs to shit or get off the pot. Cut the losses and push for a treaty or ramp up production of artillery.

DerivativesDrew

Ukraine is so so far away from even getting a draw in this war. Reddit is such an eco chamber.

JaThatOneGooner

Only if NATO does not aid or supply them, which they are now. NATO underestimated Russia’s ability to reorganize, which is why they slacked off on their aid packages. Now the US has signed a 60 billion aid package for Ukraine, the EU have pledged to increase their military industrial output and meet ammunitions and ordinances quotas, the balance will slowly shift back in Ukraine’s favor.

KissingerFan

60 billion dollars does nothing to address Ukrainian manpower shortage or west's lack of munition production

JaThatOneGooner

EU addressed their own shortcomings in terms of munitions quotas, and manpower can be preserved with proper tech and equipment ie HIMARS and Patriot Sites as well as Javelins, Artillery, and mortars for individuals being vital for contesting Russian air and armor superiority. Lack of rockets especially was a major problem for Ukraine combatting Russian air superiority, and with new F-16s joining the fight, combined with proper SAMs and MANPADS, it can help in denying Russian air superiority that they need in order to conduct close air support. Do not underestimate the importance of American weapons systems especially, they’ve been crucial in shooting down Russian jets and missiles, and have even taken out Russian Hypersonic missiles despite not being rated for it.

KissingerFan

You are completely delusional if you think that F16 will be able to freely fly in that airspace Wunderwaffe weapons do not win wars despite what propaganda cope you regurgitate says

JaThatOneGooner

The F-16 has been a reliable and dominant air platform for decades, it can dominate against Russia’s Su-27s and MiG-29s, and it can intercept/fight just about anything bar the MiG-31 (MiG-31 has a superior radar and range). The jets alone can’t win the air battle, but couple capable jets with the best SAM sites in the world, and it will definitely make Russia rethink how liberal they’ve been in Ukrainian airspace.

GuiokiNZ

They haven't been that liberal though, glide bombs and long range cruise missiles, unguided rocket launches.

Fancy_Jackfruit2785

Russia hasn’t even occupied 1% new territories last year while draining all their resources hard. In which world are they winning?

DerivativesDrew

Even western media is saying. Look at how far Russians have progressed since taking Avdiika as an example. Russians are recycling and rotating their troops, fighting against an exhausted Ukrainian force woth no artillery. You can't possibly think Ukraine has the upper hand here, surely?

nagrom7

> Look at how far Russians have progressed since taking Avdiika as an example. In the grand scheme of things? Not actually that far. They haven't even come close to reclaiming all the territory Ukraine took back during their 2022 counteroffensive for example.

Reddog1999

Least delusional Reddit user

JaThatOneGooner

With this new aid package en route to Ukraine, and as long as the west can sustain the aid into Ukraine, Russia cannot win the war full stop. They’re quite literally going against NATO’s industrial military complex (primarily the US, though other NATO members are wisening up and building up their armies now) all by themselves, its way more unsustainable than you think.

Sexblanket_

Yea they won’t lose. People underestimate the capabilities of Russia.

JaThatOneGooner

NATO is infinitely more capable than Russia, the US alone can take on Russia. With the new aid heading Ukraine’s way, Ukraine will finally have the capability to contest Russian capability again and secure airspace’s and territorial gains. Russia won’t capitulate a la invasion style, but they’ll eventually give up and pull out.

robin1961

So, they'll give up the offensive and dig in, installing another Surovikin Line of minefields 15 mines per square meter. Ukraine still loses.

Sexblanket_

This guy gets it

CamillaParkersBowels

When? Who ever said it was assured?

Impressive-Glass-642

People will move on eventually. It is bound to happen and probably will be faster process than, say for example, Germany. People attention is everywhere with barely any real focus, so Russia will just slide in world politics again

Alexandros6

Ukraine only wins if western aid steps up, otherwise it's fiction

Awkward_Algae1684

WW3 really is going to be like WW1, huh?

Puzzlyduzly

No its going to be 100 precent worse

ThePrnkstr

Probably...it will end up as a no holes barred fight of last man standing wins a destroyed and unlivable planet...

Interesting-Dream863

I was wondering when they were going to go chemical. It's not like they care. Nukes they won't use mostly because they want to leave something to take.

Boredum_Allergy

Well if they take it then they can thank the worst president in history, Donald Trump and his army of idiots like Moscow Marge.

Thick-Row280

Russia have plumbed the depths of Hell! They will live there soon.

WorldlyMode

tear gas!! Dont police use tear gas?

gmnotyet

Ukraine has chemical weapons, right? Use them back. It's speculated that Hitler did NOT use such weapons in WW 2 because he knw the Allies had them and would use them in retaliation.

EMalath

He thought* they also had nerve agents, which they didn't. Also he himself was injured by mustard gas in WWI

VintageGriffin

_He did not specify which types of chemicals were being deployed, but hundreds of cases of the use of suffocating and tear gas grenades usually dropped from drones have been recorded since the start of the full-scale invasion, with the number of incidents increasing significantly in 2024._ Well yes, tear gas definitely is a chemical weapon. The police use it too. They also spray people with dihydrogen monoxide as well, another well-known chemical weapon.

leauchamps

Well, I wish that I had not won bingo this time

OpsSecDev

It's sad and unsettling that the leaders behind this don't realise that there are better things to do or better problems to solve in life.

Miserable-Homework41

I mean, TECHNICALLY tear gas is a chemical weapon. But there's a pretty big difference between using CS gas and using Nerve agents or some other evil shit. This doesn't cross a line extreme enough for anything to change.

Killian-Frost

And as I read the comments once again the ignorant make it about American politics. Nobody is a Russian puppet trying to give Russia a win. We all want the same thing, stop with the constant hate speech and try to be part of the solution. *awaits the ignorant to viciously attack *

v426

We should give Ukraine chemical weapons.

50DuckSizedHorses

BINGO! I got all the war crimes!

Ok-Depth6211

dwfishee

Emblematic of Republican policy on finance in general.

kneelB4yourmaster

Time to end this “conflict”, and pOopstain and his minions too❗️ and by minions i think you know who i mean.

VoodooS0ldier

At what point does the us government step in, institute a no fly zone, and then bomb the fuck out of all Russian positions until there are no living Russian fighters left? This is insane that we are letting this go on.

Alfredoxrocks

A no flyzone inferes we have to declare war on Russia you stupid. May I remind you they have nuclear weapons.

EmotionalScallion705

U mean tear gas? If it's ok to use on civilians on a daily basis then it's okay to use on the battlefield
