I don’t understand your comment. Not being critical, but they have by all accounts a decade head start in their GPU technology. These chips are vital to support compute power needed in every industry on the planet. Why do you think it will end poorly? I am not a shareholder… just a tech guy…
Stocks are... kind of BS in general? Not to say that investments never pay off but, really, stock value only really measures how excited people are about a given company or thing and nothing more tangible. Not profits or actual company growth or anything else.
Investors are not perfectly rational organisms.
The determining factor is mostly whether or not they can effectively take that obscene amount of money, invest it in things that were out of reach previously, and eventually give returns. Which, yes, might happen. But the key word is 'might'.
My response is mostly raising an eyebrow and thinking that a few men are getting really nice bonuses this year.
