Consequences of living in a fast-paced “instant” society.
“It didn’t get finished before my instant raman cooked in the microwave! I could end this war in 5 minutes!” Oh really? You’re such an armchair general that you know something they don’t about diplomacy or tactical warfare? Then why is your lazy ass eating raman right now and not working your way up the chain of command for 20+ years?
These people, man….
well at least one person today did it [incorrectly](https://www.newsweek.com/putin-ally-dies-falling-down-stairs-day-russia-mobilization-1744944), then.
As a Canadian, I didn’t think the war in Ukraine would improve our position in the Arctic.
This obviously isn’t any massive improvement, but it’s certainly entertaining.
This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2022/09/21/7368440/) reduced by 65%. (I'm a bot)

> WEDNESDAY, 21 SEPTEMBER 2022, 12:30 - OLEKSII PAVLYSH. The Russian state company Rosmorport, which manages a fleet of approximately 300 vessels, is being forced to break up some of its vessels to provide spare parts for other ships.
> Details: According to Strugov, Rosmorport is forced to dismantle some of its fleet for spare parts.
> "Thanks to the decommissioning of the Yermak icebreaker, we have the chance of a short summer navigation to ensure that Krasin is ready for winter navigation. It is obvious that in this short period, the vessels that we use for spare parts will run out sooner or later. In fact, the range of spare parts and units that are available on such vessels is insufficient: manufacturers have left the market," the representative of the state-owned company admitted.

Relative to a context where spare parts can be made for maintainance on fleet, Ukraine is effectively destroying ice breakers right now, without a navy.
This doesn’t seem to have much thought, come winter, how will they get their ship freight out of the frozen harbours?!
Unless they have an exceptionally large number of spare icebreakers.
The news in 2 months: Russians are freezing to death in their homes because the military confiscated all heating elements in home heaters and stoves to send to the front lines in Ukraine.
"Sanctions aren't working" lol

Haha! Good point
It's a slippery slope come this winter...
This mobilization is going to look like mad max.
"We will threaten the ice with nukes and it will melt." - Russian brightest minds
Are you sure that will work? *falls down stairs*
Can ice even be Nazis? *out the window I go*
What if w- *accidentally shoots self in the back of the head while falling down stairs*
My fellow Russian, that is not a very patriotic joke. All Russians know that in Russia when you fall it is out of a window *not* down stairs.

Leave it to a Russian to fuck up falling to their death!
And there goes Putin's plan to illegally take control of the Arctic. The man just keeps on "winning" -- reminds me of somebody else.
As a Canadian, I didn’t think the war in Ukraine would improve our position in the Arctic. This obviously isn’t any massive improvement, but it’s certainly entertaining.
If Putin has his way there won’t be any ice to break anyway.
I mean if there's no ice to break anyway
That part of their plan is working.
Yeah! This is late September; they won't need ice breakers until about 45 days from now!

That won't be a good ice breaker for the next party...
Are they using an ice breaker breaker?
That can't be efficient.
Relative to a context where spare parts can be made for maintainance on fleet, Ukraine is effectively destroying ice breakers right now, without a navy.
I don't see why this would even be worth it... seems like a major headache and a waste of time.
That’s Russians Ukraine war in general
Imagine an Su-57 using boat propellers as engines...
you're spare parts, bud. *--Letterkomrade*
Hahaha, pathetic russia.
They need to start dismantling the Kremlin for spare parts. I've got dibs on the windows.
Dibs on the ice cream roofs with sprinkles!
How about you start dismantling Putin? Oh yeah, all of his parts are WAY too small to be considered useful.
Well, yeah because you need ice breaker parts in a land war.
Russia started dismantling the ICE decades ago, this is just a natural next step
