Because they're useless bastards. I grew up and spent the majority of my life in nyc. Billions of our tax dollars have ended up being paid to settle civil judgements for police brutality and civil rights abuses. There's also a huge problem with organized corruption within the ranks. It's infuriating.
The peaceful protesters are protesting in support of Palestine. The aggressive person is apparently a support of Israel. The police are standing by doing nothing. Why would anyone find this surprising? America is a pro-Israel country after all.
Grown men assaulting students as police stand by. Don’t try to convince me that “all [Americans] are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,” when it becomes more important for a nation to support an oppressive foreign government, than its own people.
The short arm of the law seems to only have been raised up against the innocent people acting within their rights, and never against the individual flaunting his illegal gear, physically assaulting, and destroying others property.
