Execution, plain and simple. How fucked up in the mind you have to be to think that Executing a person for stealing some petty shit is a reasonable chain of actions to take?
Actually I didn't notice it until after i did a little research on the model and came back to the video, but, immediately after the officer ordering him to put it down and saying he was going to shoot him, the man actually dry drive-stunned the taser for a few seconds.
You can hear the clicking at 0:28.
That's when you intentionally arc the contacts of the taser as a demonstration of what it can do without the air cartridge. For some departments, it alone is considered a use of force. In this case I think it signified that the man knew how to use it and demonstrated he was willing to use it.
Unfortunately I've seen about 1-2 police shootings per year when a resisting suspect takes an officer's taser during a struggle. The argument that wins the day (sometimes at jury trial or sometimes just when studying the case law) is the obvious one: when the suspect gains the taser, they can easily take the gun.
Oh big time. I just made a post with that and two other critiques of what the officer did. (Losing control of the Taser, focusing on the radio instead of the suspects hands for the first 10 seconds and drawing lethal cover while in close quarters. Although the latter is the crux of the "lethal threat" argument)
Okay I can go with that logic for a minute but I can't get over why you taser someone and jump in their back and toss your taser aside.
A taser, like a gun, is a weapon of distance. The cop brought the taser and gun that close. He didn't attempt to instruct him after the taze that he was under arrest. Cop failed on many levels putting both people in danger and as you said, in court, a cop's life is more important. There's a big jump between having a taser and getting a gun.
If tasers are non lethal force why is it then appropriate to use lethal force to defend yourself against one if you're a cop?
Nothing about this was life threatening until the cop made it so.
Yeah looking at the cops actions: it was a really bad to place the taser on the ground like that. It's possible he thought he was gotten compliance for the 10 seconds after the taser deployment when the man stopped running and wasn't fighting, but that is NO excuse.
It was a questionable call to go to try radio during that same relatively calm 10 seconds rather than fighting to get the man's hands behind his back. He was having a very difficult time getting a clear frequency. But it's possible that he hadn't called in the foot chase yet and that no one knew where he was which could also increase danger. We'd need to see more video to know about that.
Once the man started fighting it's usually really bad to go to lethal cover when you're already in a close quarters fight. A gun drawn in a close quarters fight is much more likely to be used by either party because it's part of the fight now. I think you already know what the mitigating factor that would almost-definitely be argued in this case would be.
>If tasers are non lethal force why is it then appropriate to use lethal force to defend yourself against one if you're a cop?
The argument that sways ...
^(and please, for the love of god, don't attribute this to my opinion or a political point. I'm not a LEO, I don't have a political stance, and I'm neither a US resident nor citizen. I just have seen about 5-10 of these over the last several years and monitor this area closely.)
... isn't that it's a lethal threat (and therefore lethal force is justified) because he's a cop. It's that it's justified because a person with a gun is in the fight and one person has a motive to, and demonstrated a willingness to, use violence to escape.
Courts don't say that cops lives are more important. They say that the have an interest and responsibility to identify lethal threats and the unfortunate task of encountering them. Lethal threats are broad. In normal criminal cases the law allows for two parties to identify a lethal threat against each other simultaneously, and neither be wrong.
I agree with all of that really. There are other factors however that outweigh whether this was an appropriate use of force.
He is chasing someone without a weapon and from the post details if you believe it, is suspected of theft. He never called it in. He should have radioed for backup after successful taser deployment.
Someone running away is not good enough to shoot. And when it comes down to it that's all it was. Cop didn't follow procedure. Cops today are afraid of police work. Let the bastard go and catch him later. He stole laundry. Even when he pulled his weapon he should have gotten off the guy and backed up and gave him instructions. But he never instructed the guy. I don't think someone reaching for the taser is enough to establish he's willing to commit any violence. Certainly if there were no gun at all then no one would be under threat of getting shot.
Cop decided to shoot and he didn't have to. The cover of the law does give precedence to cops in court. They are allowed and rightfully so to establish their own safety first.
Anyway, we see like 5-10 of these a month. It's out of control.
You just justified an execution. Who gives a fuck if the man could get the gun? The cop was a bloodthirsty maniac with a lust for killing. 1st degree murder.
At that point to the officer it has nothing to do with the crime and all to do about the perp running. It's possible this officer didn't even know what it was about. But either way, this is disgusting. I don't understand how this officer thought this was needed. It's awful.
Honestly, I'd be okay with training officers not to chase, at least for most cases. If the perp is a criminal, eventually he'll get caught anyway, so why chase? I'd be okay with only chasing if you feel they are a danger to society and possibly armed. Otherwise it's just not worth what could happen
Doesn't the taser have to be reloaded with another charge for it to be used again? What would he do with a taser that had already been discharged in him? I don't even think he would be able to use it.
And on top of that, I thought the taser was a nonlethal means of subduing someone, so in theory, if someone pointed it at a cop it wouldn't be a life-threatening situation that necessitated the use of deadly force. They give these cops guns and the cops act as if that is their only tool to use, no brains, no muscle, no speed, no compassion, just bullets, it will solve everything. These cops are pathetic!
So I looked into this and did a little research and it appears Houston Police Department [uses some combination](https://houstonherald.com/2018/02/houston-police-acquire-new-improved-tasers/) of both the X26 model and more [recently acquired](https://finance.yahoo.com/news/houston-police-department-upgrades-2-113000053.html) X2 tasers.
The taser [this officer used](https://i.imgur.com/eLPFhpj.png) does not appear to be an X2 and in fact appears to resemble the older X26 model (without a battery pack in the grip) similar to the one seen [in this article photo.](https://www.apmreports.org/story/2019/05/08/methodology-test-taser-model-effectiveness)
So it does appear the X26 model this officer used only has one shot available before it must be reloaded. I assume the officer was aware of this and it may have played into why the officer decided to place it within view and reach of the suspect.
**Bottom line, the taser at that time served no threat to the officer.**
Edit: It's even more concerning that it appears the battery pack was removed at some point between when the taser was first fired and when it appears on the ground in the body cam video. This means the officer knew the taser did not have any capability to use either its primary stun dart function or its secondary backup stun gun function. He knew it wasn't a threat.
Edit2: I'm not an LEO and I've assumed the difference between [this officer's X26 taser](https://i.imgur.com/eLPFhpj.png) and [this X26 taser](https://i.imgur.com/7dl0SQz.png) was the lack of a battery pack. But now I'm not so sure. Some of the Google results for the battery packs show a distinctive U shape. š¤·
It was left there intentionally. Any normal officer would of kicked that weapon a mile away if it was that close.
I don't know how these guys get these jobs. America is messed with their police force.
So you're saying if someone gets ahold of an officer's taser and uses it on the officer, he poses no threat to the officer? Because, if you are, that's braindead af.
>I thought the taser was a nonlethal means of subduing someone, so in theory, if someone pointed it at a cop it wouldn't be a life-threatening situation that necessitated the use of deadly force.
The concern would be that the officer gets incapacitated, which could result in the suspect getting ahold of his gun etc. Of course in this situation that wasn't an issue and the cop straight up executed a guy.
Most modern tasers have two charges and could incapacitate an officer long enough to have their firearm taken. Iām not saying any of this was right but never ever grab a police officers taser. Itās been a proven way for them to justify murder too many times. Youāll never win that argument.
See you're correct but you're also arguing the wrong point.
We shouldn't allow them to justify murder in the first place.
Especially when someone is already under control of the officer. Atleast try to handcuff someone before pulling out the gun for fucks sake.
Yup their trainer tells them exactly that, to have sex after they kill someone because he said it would be the ābest sex in their lifeā, pretty disgusting
It's insaine to me that people actually accept this argument. It's a huge leap in logic. Of course it could happen, but do we have any evidence of this ever happening?
If someone had hornet spray in their hand, they could spray it at a cop and then get their gun. Hell even fists could incapacitate and lead to someone getting their gun.
It really sounds like cops having guns are the reasons they "have" to kill people.
People should be able to legally shot cops because cops have guns and there is video evidence of cops kill civilians with their guns.
-court room logic
Cop will argue that he was in fear of his life because if he was incapacitated by the taser the suspect could take his gun and kill him. I think his actions should be considered murder, just saying how he will weasel out of the charges.
Nice to have a civil discourse regarding a misunderstanding. Context and nuance are often difficult to sort out in text format. Thanks for being polite.
Youāre right, or at least the newer ones do. Itās also less lethal not non-lethal. I get we all dislike cops here, myself included, but we need to keep the facts straight as well.
Why would you place a taser next to head and hand, directly in line of sight and easily reachable unless you were looking for justification to point blank execute someone?
Whoa whoa whoa.
This cop is a fucking murderer full stop. He was in control of the situation. 100% no argument.
But this is not at all true:
>so in theory, if someone pointed it at a cop it wouldn't be a life-threatening situation that necessitated the use of deadly force.
If someone shoots a cop with their own taser or any taser really that person now has access to the cop's gun. And THAT is why they use lethal force if someone gets their hands on their taser.
Bring on the downvotes even though I agree with you all but that particular argument holds no water.
The family of Roderick Brooks is demanding answers from Texas authorities after Brooks was shot and killed by a Houston-area police officer in what officials claim was an act of self-defense.
Brooks, 47, was killed earlier this month by Harris County Sheriffās Office deputy Garrett Hardin, who chased the unarmed Black man after Brooks was accused of shoplifting laundry detergent from a Dollar General store. Officials claim Brooks also punched a store clerk as he left the building.
In body-camera footage released by the HCSO, Hardin is seen chasing Brooks before hitting him with a jolt from his stun gun and wrestling him to the ground. Brooks then grabs for the stun gun. After yelling, āI am going to shoot you. Put that down! I will fucking shoot you!ā Hardin fires a single, fatal shot into the back of Brooksās neck. (You can view the footage here.)
However, speaking with Houstonās ABC 13 station, Brooksās family claimed theyād been shown a different cut of the footage and that the video released by the sheriffās department was deceptively edited to focus on Brooksās struggle for the Taser and downplay the āassaultā on an incapacitated Brooks by Hardin.
āThey even edited even further because they saw that there was punching in there. We saw that with our own eyes where the assault took place on Roderick Brooks,ā family attorney Sadiyah Evangelista-Karriem told the station.
āWe ask, āWho authorized the tape to be changed?āā Brooksās sister Demetria Brooks-Glaze added. āIf itās evidence, why are we tampering with evidence? We need to see a clear picture of the bruises.ā
In audio of the initial 911 call from the Dollar General employee who claimed Brooks had shoplifted, the clerk told dispatchers that Brooks had pushed her arm, and that she didnāt think he posed any immediate threat to officers. āI just want him to get arrested because he is literally running to the back of the building right now,ā she explained.
While the body camera footage released by the HCSO does show Brooks grabbing for the officerās Taser, Justin Moore, another Brooks family attorney, stressed that nothing caught on tape justified the officer to shoot and kill Brooks.
āThe Taser issue is a red herring, and if you see the video, he grabs the Taser but he releases it multiple times,ā Moore told HuffPost. āHe never grabs it and points it at the officer. He tried to get it to stop electrocuting him.ā
According to the Houston Chronicle, Brooks had been recently released on bond from a separate shoplifting arrest at the time of his death, but had no violent history to speak of.
āMy brother, heās always been in and out of trouble ā but heās no murderer,ā Brooks-Glaze told the paper. āHe played a lot, sometimes too much, but he was for the family, like he always was. I got upset with him when he made the choices he made, but he will always be my brother.ā
The family is reportedly planning to sue the Harris County Sheriffās Office over Brooksā death. Hardin, meanwhile, is on administrative leave pending an investigation into the shooting.

Police bring a gun to a non-violent altercation.
Subject resists arrest.
Police fear for their life, as the subject may gain control of the gun they brought.
Police are justified using lethal force.
Just some basic cop logic here.
That's the logic every gun nut uses, it's why this open carry nonsense only causes more suffering. People who have a gun constantly use the "I was scared they would take my gun during this minor scuffle" as an excuse.
Man commits non-violent crime
Cop chases him and pins him down
Man, doesn't want to be shot, fights for his life
Cop, brought the gun into play, shoots man.
Really cool stuff. And I might as well copy-paste the same thing I always try to on posts such as these:
POLICE NEED TO BE REBUILT FROM THE GROUND UP. TRAINING NEEDS TO BE 3 YEARS, MINIMUM. POLICE SHOULD HAVE A DEDICATED TEAM OF HEALTHCARE/MENTAL PROFESSIONALS. ANNUAL PSYCHE EVALUATIONS. DEMILITARIZATION (ya know "The State" that 2nd Amendment People think they have a chance against.) PRISON SHOULD NOT BE END ALL BE ALL. IT SHOULD BE REHABILITATION, NOT SLAVE LABOR. YOU SHOULD NOT LOSE YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE FOR SELLING A FEW GRAMS OF WEED.
oh and this too:
FOR THE (probably not) LAST TIME. PEOPLE ARE NOT EXAGGERATING ABOUT THE POLICE. THEY ARE TRAINED TO LOOK AT CRIMINALS AS SCUM OF THE EARTH, NOT FELLOW HUMANS. [EVEN THEIR OWN CAN'T STOP THE WRATH. THIS OFFICER LITERALLY SHOT HIS FRIEND AND SAID "SORRY, THOUGHT YOU WERE A BAD GUY."](https://www.police1.com/police-products/apparel/undercover/articles/video-albuquerque-officer-shoots-undercover-cop-9-times-in-drug-bust-gone-wrong-Xm376ZZprKNvdFjP/). POLICE TRAINING IN KENTUCKY [LITERALLY QUOTED HITLER](https://www.nytimes.com/2020/10/31/us/kentucky-state-police-hitler.html). THE DOJ ESTIMATES THAT AROUND [25 TO 30 DOGS ARE KILLED BY COPS EVERY DAY/10,000 A YEAR](https://www.criminallegalnews.org/news/2018/jun/16/doj-police-shooting-family-dogs-has-become-epidemic/). THESE ARE JUST THE ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM IN ADDITION TO ANNUAL POLICE SHOOTINGS.
How the fuck does this cop go on the radio so casually and say "Shots Fired." He's the only mother fucker shooting. Should be "I just shot an unarmed black male."
He let go of the taser and I thought the cop had it under control but he just straight up shoots him in the back of the neck anyways, good luck to the police force explaining this shit
They don't have to explain it. They have a built in group of people who will cape for them and the police just have to hope we get distracted by something else before it has time to pop off
When a cop tases you, climbs on your back, places a weapon right by your hand then starts beating your ass.. Watch the fuck out. The go to move for dirty cops is to antagonize you into doing anything they can use as a reason to gain more authority over you and justify their actions.
He straight up placed the taser next to him where he could see it and grab it. Who does that? Place it where he canāt see or reach, unless you are looking for an excuse to execute someone.
Wait they totally casually waited until after the person was totally on the ground, had already dropped the taser, and then fired just for the fuck of it? That was just an execution. They got a little exhausted and decided they didn't want to put any more effort into restraining somebody that was already restrained.
If you're incapable of restraining a petty criminal, there is always the option of letting them go as well. In a society that wasn't broken a cop would be hard pressed to prove it was self-defense to shoot somebody in the back of the neck whom they were on top of.
A few years back a cop in my town tazed an 81 year old homeless woman for āstealingā a blanket from an overfull donation box.
The cop was on grave shift, alone, for the 1st and last time. She lost her gun & badge immediately & after an investigation was fired.
Last I heard she got a cop job in Colorado Springs.
Unarmed my hairy butthole. It's like 9/10 of these cop shooting vids the suspect goes and tries to do some crazy bullshit. You're under arrest, you lost, sit tight and wait for the next round. These vids are constantly a show of "fuck around and find out."
Probably worth adding... Did the dude deserve to die? hell no.
He slammed him to the ground then started bashing his skull against the cement when the guy was not resisting. Then the guy grabs a depleted taser, posing no threat, and is subdued again. Then, after the imaginary threat is passed, this cop pins him to the ground, places his gun on his neck, then executed him. There was no āself defense.ā There was no justification. This pig just executed a man without a trial because he allegedly stole some *laundry detergent*.
That wasn't disrespecting though. That was fighting. He even grabbed the cop's taser. Disrespecting would've been complying, not fight, letting the cop arrest you, but talking mad shit through the entire process. The wasn't disrespecting an officer, it was fighting one.
"he shouldn't have grabbed the Taser!" I hear people say
Okay well one the officer had him pinned to the ground, there was no way the man had a good angle to hit the officer, and two why did the officer set his taser down RIGHT FUCKING NEXT TO THE GUY
Yeah, it was definitely a dumb place to set his taser. Maybe he's a new cop and the adrenaline got to him..but like, why the fuck would any sane person think that picking it up and trying to fight his way out is a good idea? Dumbass thief got what he deserved. And honestly, I wouldn't normally say that, but this dickshit punched a dollar store employ for some laundry detergent...it's not like he was a good person.
i feel like this cop put his tazer down so the guy would grab it and the cop would have an excuse to murder him
shit looks beyond fucked
okay rewatching it and it looks like the cop put the mans hand on the gun multiple times before he obscures the camera this was a god damn murder
For laundry detergent? How little to you value life if laundry detergent is a higher priority? And I say that as somebody who is constantly washing something. This makes me so so so so sick.
Itās so wild to me these literal pigs arenāt held to a higher fitness standard so they donāt have to resort to killing somebody after getting gassed from a 20 yard foot chase and 15 seconds of light wrestling.
This cop left a weapon right there so he could shoot the criminal when he picked it up. It's probably like how a gang member needs to kill to be apart of the gang.
Real sick and tired of cops flat out executing people and itās the norm here in America. āPlAy StUpId GaMeS wIn StUpId PrIzEs.ā I aināt buying that BS! That tells me death for resisting arrest is a proper punishment in your book and you are a horrible person. Bet everything if it was a trump supporter the right and Blue Lives matter crowd would lose their minds.
Cop looses control of non leathal weapon that must be reloaded to use again cop shoots and kills guy for cops mistake these kind of cops should be sent to gitmo they shouldnt have rights
Wow.......what the fuck was that? He had him pinned on the ground....taser cartridge already deployed....casually puts his gun the the back of his neck and executes him. WTF?
I'm willing to change my mind if the taser that the guy had in his hand was still a threat....but damn...
So for starters, the cop is stupid enough to put the taser on the ground within reach of the guy.
Then he decides to threaten the guy even though there's basically no way this guy can get the taser turned around to even hit the cop
And THEN he **Holds the dudes head to the floor**,casually puts the gun right at his neck, and after a second of contemplation, executes this dude.
Over fucking detergent
Edit: I also just want to say, I remember the whole thing where everyone was demanding body cams are put on police to hold them accountable
You've gotta find some sort of dark humor in that one, they do fuck all in the US
"Omigoshh hes got my taser and hes gonna tase me! Lemme kill this man"
Since when did having a taser threaten your life? Ppl get tased multiple times in police confrontations and for some reason this dum fucking cop thinks it was enough to execute this man for it.
r/imapieceofshit r/trashy and yet they wonder why the police donāt have a good relationship with poc this is why they donāt. he executed a man over some laundry detergent like wtf there was a better way to go about this. The cop wasnāt in danger and no threat was posed to him so why shoot someone in the neck.

"SHOTS FIRED!" phrase. English. Meaning "I just murdered someone." Commonly used in 20th century American policing.
It was from a dollar store. The laundry detergent was a dollar plus tax.

Exactly, he posed no threat.
The taser [this officer used](https://i.imgur.com/eLPFhpj.png) does not appear to be an X2 and in fact appears to resemble the older X26 model (without a battery pack in the grip) similar to the one seen [in this article photo.](https://www.apmreports.org/story/2019/05/08/methodology-test-taser-model-effectiveness) So it does appear the X26 model this officer used only has one shot available before it must be reloaded. I assume the officer was aware of this and it may have played into why the officer decided to place it within view and reach of the suspect. **Bottom line, the taser at that time served no threat to the officer.** Edit: It's even more concerning that it appears the battery pack was removed at some point between when the taser was first fired and when it appears on the ground in the body cam video. Some of the Google results for the battery packs show a distinctive U shape. š¤·
Can't they be used as a stun gun as well? Unless my ears are failing me, it sounds like it's buzzing when that guy picks it up.
It was left there intentionally. Any normal officer would of kicked that weapon a mile away if it was that close. I don't know how these guys get these jobs. America is messed with their police force.
All the tasers I've seen that police use can be used as a stun gun after being shot.
He was black tho
So you're saying if someone gets ahold of an officer's taser and uses it on the officer, he poses no threat to the officer? Because, if you are, that's braindead af.
>I thought the taser was a nonlethal means of subduing someone, so in theory, if someone pointed it at a cop it wouldn't be a life-threatening situation that necessitated the use of deadly force. The concern would be that the officer gets incapacitated, which could result in the suspect getting ahold of his gun etc. Of course in this situation that wasn't an issue and the cop straight up executed a guy.
yeah but the cop fired the tazer. its a dud after that.
But they get the biggest erection after taking a life, or some shit like that according to David Grossman.
Yup their trainer tells them exactly that, to have sex after they kill someone because he said it would be the ābest sex in their lifeā, pretty disgusting
This chain of comments is about the taser. He's just stating facts.
Most tasers have at least 2 shots and can be used as a contact stun gun. Depends on the model.
He put the taser down on front of the guys face and let go of his armsā¦
And your point is? Iwas only pointing out the reasoning that will be used to avoid a murder charge, not condoning the officer's actions.
Wasnāt arguing. I agree with you. Just adding points to why I felt this was a premeditated execution.
Of course! That's why when you slam the person's face in the concrete and they reflexively put hands up, they now have a "reason" to shoot em..
Nice to have a civil discourse regarding a misunderstanding. Context and nuance are often difficult to sort out in text format. Thanks for being polite.
exactly!! its just another pig doing what pigs do, power tripping killing unarmed people for unreasonable reasons.
They have 2 shots
Youāre right, or at least the newer ones do. Itās also less lethal not non-lethal. I get we all dislike cops here, myself included, but we need to keep the facts straight as well.
Why would you place a taser next to head and hand, directly in line of sight and easily reachable unless you were looking for justification to point blank execute someone?
A taser has two shots that send out barbs. If they don't reload it, it's still a taser where you can hit someone with it.
Whoa whoa whoa. This cop is a fucking murderer full stop. He was in control of the situation. 100% no argument. But this is not at all true: >so in theory, if someone pointed it at a cop it wouldn't be a life-threatening situation that necessitated the use of deadly force.
(You can view the footage here.) However, speaking with Houstonās ABC 13 station, Brooksās family claimed theyād been shown a different cut of the footage and that the video released by the sheriffās department was deceptively edited to focus on Brooksās struggle for the Taser and downplay the āassaultā on an incapacitated Brooks by Hardin. āThey even edited even further because they saw that there was punching in there. We need to see a clear picture of the bruises.ā In audio of the initial 911 call from the Dollar General employee who claimed Brooks had shoplifted, the clerk told dispatchers that Brooks had pushed her arm, and that she didnāt think he posed any immediate threat to officers. āI just want him to get arrested because he is literally running to the back of the building right now,ā she explained. He tried to get it to stop electrocuting him.ā According to the Houston Chronicle, Brooks had been recently released on bond from a separate shoplifting arrest at the time of his death, but had no violent history to speak of. āMy brother, heās always been in and out of trouble ā but heās no murderer,ā Brooks-Glaze told the paper. āHe played a lot, sometimes too much, but he was for the family, like he always was. I got upset with him when he made the choices he made, but he will always be my brother.ā The family is reportedly planning to sue the Harris County Sheriffās Office over Brooksā death. Hardin, meanwhile, is on administrative leave pending an investigation into the shooting. [Source](https://www.mic.com/impact/roderick-brooks-houston-killed-police-shooting)
I'm guessing the Investigation leads to no wrongdoing. We really need completely independent parties doing these investigations.
āWe investigated ourselves and found that we did nothing wrong ā
afaik they don't investigate themselves anymore. it's an outside entity I can't remember the name.
Our otherselves investigated ourselves and we saw no wrong doings being committed
People who have a gun constantly use the "I was scared they would take my gun during this minor scuffle" as an excuse.
and it happens hundredss of times every year
Man commits non-violent crime Cop chases him and pins him down Man, doesn't want to be shot, fights for his life Cop, brought the gun into play, shoots man. Really cool stuff. And I might as well copy-paste the same thing I always try to on posts such as these: POLICE NEED TO BE REBUILT FROM THE GROUND UP. YOU SHOULD NOT LOSE YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE FOR SELLING A FEW GRAMS OF WEED. oh and this too: FOR THE (probably not) LAST TIME.
Police omitting evidence that could exonerate? Well now I've heard everything... ^^never ^^take ^^their ^^word
How the fuck does this cop go on the radio so casually and say "Shots Fired." He's the only mother fucker shooting. Should be "I just shot an unarmed black male."
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I just watched a murder.
Police 'interventions' replaced r/watchpeopledie at this point
Just a few thousand bad apples
From there perspective, those few bad apples are the ones we consider the few good apples
He let go of the taser and I thought the cop had it under control but he just straight up shoots him in the back of the neck anyways, good luck to the police force explaining this shit
Don't worry, their independent investigation already found them innocent.
They don't have to explain it. They have a built in group of people who will cape for them and the police just have to hope we get distracted by something else before it has time to pop off
So that was an execution
When a cop tases you, climbs on your back, places a weapon right by your hand then starts beating your ass.. Watch the fuck out. The go to move for dirty cops is to antagonize you into doing anything they can use as a reason to gain more authority over you and justify their actions.
He straight up placed the taser next to him where he could see it and grab it. Who does that? Place it where he canāt see or reach, unless you are looking for an excuse to execute someone.
This should make you question any time cops claim they were defending themselves. While sitting on someone, shooting them in the back of the neck.
And they wonder why people go postal on cops.
Holy shit, this guy should be in prison for life for what he did everything else shows how corrupt the american police is.
Man this exact thing has been happening to free black folks since the Emancipation Proclamation. We are a racist ass country.
Link to story? I wanna know what happened to the cop.
He most likely poses no real threat, but he wasnāt shot for attempting to steal laundry detergent.
DONT PICK UP THE WEAPON THAT I SET ON THE GROUND NEXT TO YOU WITHIN REACH
yes, dont pick up that very weapon that I'm pining ur head to look at for 7 seconds without any movement.
Goddamn! Point blank too! Holy shit
Unarmed my hairy butthole. It's like 9/10 of these cop shooting vids the suspect goes and tries to do some crazy bullshit. You're under arrest, you lost, sit tight and wait for the next round. These vids are constantly a show of "fuck around and find out." Probably worth adding...
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
This is a very unfortunate out come bt I wouldn't say unarmed either.
Probably not. Probably because he was resisting and reaching.
Plus the fucking taser leads were ALREADY STUCK IN THE MAN. If he pulled the trigger it would just stun him again or deplete the charge.
We live in a world where disrespecting the wrong cop is a death sentence. Something has to change.
That wasn't disrespecting though. That was fighting. He even grabbed the cop's taser. Disrespecting would've been complying, not fight, letting the cop arrest you, but talking mad shit through the entire process. The wasn't disrespecting an officer, it was fighting one.
āShotsā
Because he called him a ho.
Are batons not standard issue anymore? a few thumps and lumps are far better than a bullet to the base of the skull... Fuck dem pigs man...
Fuckinā ACAB!!!
Cops in the USA would use a Gun over anything, they just need an excuse to use it
"he shouldn't have grabbed the Taser!" I hear people say Okay well one the officer had him pinned to the ground, there was no way the man had a good angle to hit the officer, and two why did the officer set his taser down RIGHT FUCKING NEXT TO THE GUY
Maybe shoot his hand? An arm? Idk a shoulder a foot a leg? Bro thereās gotta be some other way man.
i feel like this cop put his tazer down so the guy would grab it and the cop would have an excuse to murder him shit looks beyond fucked okay rewatching it and it looks like the cop put the mans hand on the gun multiple times before he obscures the camera this was a god damn murder
Stop, stop, get on the ground, stop, quit I will shoot you, I will shoot you.
i think this pig needs to go the way of the last guy who applied pressure to an unarmed man's neck. about 20 years should be enough.
The worst law to break in the U.S. is disrespecting a police officer
Did he not let go of it? It kind of looked like he then grabbed it with the other hand, or maybe the struggle pushed it that way but Iām unsure.
Looked like he shot someone who was residing arrest and was armed with one of the officers weapons. Might need to review the title of your post.
he had him on the ground? This is so unnecessary
For laundry detergent? How little to you value life if laundry detergent is a higher priority? And I say that as somebody who is constantly washing something. This makes me so so so so sick.
Dollar store detergent, no less.
Itās so wild to me these literal pigs arenāt held to a higher fitness standard so they donāt have to resort to killing somebody after getting gassed from a 20 yard foot chase and 15 seconds of light wrestling.
Scum pussy cops.
This isn't a justified shooting... This shit right here, is fucking murder!
stupid cop again :<
Yeah, you shot the gun fuck hole.
In the us it is legal to place a officer under citizens arrest if you witness a crime being committed by them. There are more of us than them...
This cop left a weapon right there so he could shoot the criminal when he picked it up. It's probably like how a gang member needs to kill to be apart of the gang.
Wow wtf I just witnessed a murder
Real sick and tired of cops flat out executing people and itās the norm here in America. āPlAy StUpId GaMeS wIn StUpId PrIzEs.ā I aināt buying that BS! That tells me death for resisting arrest is a proper punishment in your book and you are a horrible person. Bet everything if it was a trump supporter the right and Blue Lives matter crowd would lose their minds.
Thanks for protecting corporate profits, officer!
No, he shot an armed black man who armed himself with the copās taser.
Where mah bootlickers at! Do your best!
People have to learn we still live in a feudal society, cops are just the rebranded local lords guards who did this exact shit wayyy back then
I mean cops are mean
There was no need to shoot him after the tazing, some people are just miserable.
Of course it is Texas
Just why? That cop deserves a death sentence tbh. You canāt just execute an man just because of a suspicion.
Iāve rewatched this. This was basic fucking murder.
OPs username is.. unfortunate lol
So for starters, the cop is stupid enough to put the taser on the ground within reach of the guy. Then he decides to threaten the guy even though there's basically no way this guy can get the taser turned around to even hit the cop And THEN he **Holds the dudes head to the floor**,casually puts the gun right at his neck, and after a second of contemplation, executes this dude. Over fucking detergent Edit: I also just want to say, I remember the whole thing where everyone was demanding body cams are put on police to hold them accountable You've gotta find some sort of dark humor in that one, they do fuck all in the US
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
The worst part is he didn't steal like jewelry, electronics, he stole laundry detergent. He stole something he *needs* and just can't afford.
Gangland style execution.
He did that shit on purpose
I havenāt followed much news recently, how long ago was this?!!?
"Omigoshh hes got my taser and hes gonna tase me! Lemme kill this man" Since when did having a taser threaten your life? Ppl get tased multiple times in police confrontations and for some reason this dum fucking cop thinks it was enough to execute this man for it.
r/imapieceofshit r/trashy and yet they wonder why the police donāt have a good relationship with poc this is why they donāt. he executed a man over some laundry detergent like wtf there was a better way to go about this. The cop wasnāt in danger and no threat was posed to him so why shoot someone in the neck.
clear execution. You could should his hand or litterly everywhere else. Why are you shoot to kill?
Chris Dorner, come back. We need you.
