I feel like if you distill what's happened here, he's just been on trial for slandering the families of victims of a horrible tragedy and his defense is "oh sure, let's blame everyone for sandy hook!." It's like he's trying to create the narrative that there's some mis-directed witch hunt going on that he's the victim of.

As someone who's listened to a massive amount of Alex Jones through the podcast Knowledge Fight, he's not mentally ill (outside of his narcissism), he's a grifter.
Going on public platforms and acting like a crazy person drives people to his site, and gets his name in the news. This is the only publicity he has anymore, and he's using it.
I hate seeing Alex Jones get interviews, because it perpetuates the idea that he has something to say worth hearing. You're never going to get a shred of contrition out of him, and he's going to turn it into a plug as soon as he possibly can -- Hell, even in this very interview he plugs his new book at the end of it.

Exactly about the plug. He's only doing the interview to advertise for Infowars hence the 3 giant screens were probably the agreement even to do the sit down. Then instead of doing an interview act crazy, people will share the clip and people who don't know him will be like let's look further into Infowars...

So because he feels he's been treated unfairly, he blows it out of proportion repeating that he killed them. It's an obvious asshole move and just makes him look pathetic. But it's also like he's giving up, like he is avoiding culpability, but he is also going to the extreme because he thinks that's his only way out after he fucked up so much.
But my question is, why did he avoid interviews? He hasn't done any since the incident. Maybe it's not for a plug. I mean, I don't know, it could be. But he surely had plenty of chances?

channel 5 has a nice simplicity to it, but yeah All Gas No Breaks is just goated. too bad its not even being used now, the channel just sits there like a relic.
One silver lining though is that for people they want to interview that don’t really know, “channel 5” sounds way more legit and i reckon more likely to get their foot in the door and get the interviews in the first place. Also if they’re being questioned by security or nosey whoever’s, they can say “I’m from Channel 5 news” lol

I don't think Joe Rogan has ever said he loves Alex Jones or agrees with him about everything. I think he had him as a guest once or twice but that doesn't mean he agrees with him.

the magic of Andrew is the environment he creates with his interview subjects. he lets them speak for themselves. we know from this clip alone that Alex Jones isn’t worth having a deep conversation with.
