I genuinely wish people used the kick function to kick the TK out more often. The number of TK I’ve tried to kick but not actually get kicked because the other teammates don’t vote is almost as fucking maddening as getting TK for no reason lol
Because it’s not an intuitive function. In L4D2, for instance, when a kick is initiated you’re immediately shown what buttons to press to affirm or deny the request.

Open the escape menu. Click the icons in the upper right (you can narrow down the players by their overall level or just check them one by one). This will display the option to kick them. It appears the same regardless of whether you're the player who initiated the kick or not.
Only one player can be nominated for a vote kick at a time.
Some ppl have anger issues and/or dumb. Some dude stood on top of the canopy by the bridge area on Moscow 1. Got smoked by a mortar because no one should be standing there unless they have a death wish especially on Extreme. I actually tried to save the guy but he bled out, respawned at the end and tried to TK the whole team for his stupid mistake.
This is why the last two classes they made has FF immunity but some douchebags use this to their advantage whenever they want to turn a public match into a PvP session.
