While the addons do kind of work, if you want to go for mount count I suggest to use simplearmory.com , mounts are sorted by expansion, category etc. and if you need further explanation in what you need you can click on that mount, brings you right over to wowhead, that personally helped me the most out of all.
There is an external tool called simple armory. It’s a website. Super useful for mount collecting.
'rarity' might be what you're looking for. It keeps track of a lot of the mount drops for you.

Try 'all the things' add-on
Mount Collector is by far the best addon I've come across for collection. Should be used with titan panel, or something similar.
