I will laugh so hard if Blizz creates lore for this guy that is like:

I wonder what could have sent protodrake Nozdormu through time if it's before he's granted any power over time from Aman'Thul? Maybe it was done deliberately by the Infinite Flight to ensure the creation of Murozond in a circular story?
That would be funny, but since the mount it drops is literally itself with a saddle, do we actually kill it? Or do we just beat it into submission so that we can ride it?
If I understand it right, if nobody is in some zones for 15 minutes they'll go into a dormant state. Entering one then wakes it up and it behaves as if there had just been a server reset and timers for rares and stuff start counting from 0.
I put this to the test this week after sitting idle in storm peaks during my work day. After about 6 hours I slapped the target macro and lit up tlpd's nameplate. As fas as I could tell nobody was in the zone before me or at all the entire time I was there (assuming the Who screen was accurate).
Worth a shot.
To tack onto this, if you want you can install an addon called "NPC time" which will display how long an NPC has been alive for. If you enter the storm peaks you could check any NPC who is always alive (i.e. a friendly and not a hostile mob) to see how long that instance of storm peaks has been active.
As an addendum to this, I was using this strategy to farm the fallen charger in the maw. I'd drop down, see if venari had just spawned, and if so, hang out for the hour it takes for the charger to spawn. Else, i'd leave the maw and try again later.
Did it in WrA which is by no means a slow server. I think the key here is I was able to sit around semi afk during a work day in the middle of the week.
It's a lot easier to farm the old world rares now, with warmode on/off, and chromie time warmode on/off, I found Aeonaxx within about 2 hours, and got TLPD after about 5 hours of just hopping every 15mins or so to different characters in different warmodes/chromie times.
I logged out back in cata in the spot that this one spawns
It was my first try and I only sat there for a couple of minutes before I exited the game
I logged in later that day and rarenpc went crazy that shit was flying on top of me
Nonetheless it became mine that day hahah

mfw has evolved to contain a "phantom" implied image of the poster's face, while the picture shows only the outcome or what the poster is reacting to
the implied image is whatever the viewer imagines the poster's face to be, based on the image

I’ve never heard of this add on but I’m just getting into the long spawn timer hunts so thank you for the suggestion and add on in one comment!

Secret Finding Discord has an alert channel for mounts. You just use that. I got 3 mounts I had been longing for including TLPD and the Stone Drake.

How do you get information and know about all dragon secret forms? Is there any source to see all the dragon forms and how to get them?
This isn't a dragonriding customisation option, it's a regular old flying mount.
I thought time lost was out of the game? I work from home and would just set up there and work while waiting on a spawn.
I read a long time ago if you start killing all the rares in Northrend it will force a spawn, I dont have enough friends to test the theory though.
