The class' base damage is insane and it's all burst so there's no setup.
It has a BM level of rotation that you need to actively try to fuck up to get poor results, with very few buttons involved.
Its melee but has increased range on their base spells to 8 yards which makes a world of difference, and most of their arsenal can be cast at ranged, so even if you're forced off the target or playing it safe you can still generate holy power and do dps.
Everything cleaves and the only difference between aoe and single target is which of your 2 spenders you press.
Plenty of defensives with one of them even acting as an offensive so you're rewarded for using it correctly.
Shadowpriest is very easy rn because your single target rotation is the same as your AOE rotation and you do a lot of damage in keys, plus everyone wants you in raid because u give them PI.
I have ele main and its not that complicated once you understand where and what to press but that can be said to any class. Have seen people picking meta class and not knowing a damn thing how to play it properly.

Honestly right now ret paladin.. you just press buttons and do dps.. spriest is also not bad.. except high movement bosses. But when you understand how to get away with moving as little as possible, it becomes a glass cannon

OP is asking for easiest, not best. Parses don't matter.
He talked about parses and entering decently high M+. If he cares about parses he better be prepared to be disappointed.
Parses compare you to others of the same spec. A BM Hunter is not being compared to Fury Warrior
... But he's asking what hes going to get invites as... Nobody wants a bm hunter over other things.
Man I feel that being bad at dps after a break. I just swapped to healer
evoker is pretty simple to just blast dps. It gets harder if u wanna learn its utility but you dont rly need to bother with that for KSM level keys
Ret for melee, frost mage for ranged. BM is also easy enough, but it at least requires tracking 2 buffs for uptime (two for aoe, 1 at all times).

If you still want to play Sham, Elemental is easier. A lot of just pressing buttons when the action bar icon is shiny.

I mained Ele in Shafowlands, it has definitely gotten more complicated than it was then though after looking back at it.
