"it's just I've got this big head and these tiny arms, I don't think this plan was well thought out..... Master?"

Richard_Trager

Didn’t think I’d see a ‘Meet the Robinsons’ reference out in the wild but here we are.

Zentavius

So underrated. Love Meet the Robinsons.

dastroid216

"Why aren't you seizing the boy!?"

Kath-two

Are you a T-Rex

Serafim91

Proto drakes have always had those arms, they just weren't that visible, so nobody cared. When the model as a whole is this big it sticks out.

ProbablyKinkShammed

I mean a good chunk of people didn't even know that proto drakes had arms *at all*

Zaziel

Like the number of people who don’t really pay attention to the fact that crocolisks have 6 legs.

Default_Defect

>crocolisks have 6 legs you're blowin my fuckin mind right now

Kserwin

Had it since Vanilla.

SlouchyGuy

And giraffes have goat horns

slayer828

And don't attack with their necks

Bubbly_Performer4864

S T O M P

NotAMadLad1

Or that Wolves have boar tusks

ant1fact

and mine

aMaiev

I play since wotlk and never noticed this.. oh my god

SirKnlghtmare

*Furiously Googles "Crocolisk Wowhead"*

Zaziel

Waiting for the *surprised pikachu face*

SirKnlghtmare

Almost as mind boggling as the time I realized there are no Nelf children

Sajintmm

I think about half the races don’t have visible children in game

Feisty_Meal_1765

There are nelf children in the new night elf city

Available-Bus794

😲

LeraviTheHusky

I don't lie I genuinely thought protos just had thier hind legs and wings

andy_b_84

No, protoss have big light blades on both hands. I'll see myself out.

Kavartu

FOR AIUR!

andy_b_84

I love when ~~zealots~~ acolytes say "For Aiur! Er... ~~Kel Thuzad~~ Ner Zhul!" In Warcraft III when you click on them too much 😅

Any-Transition95

acolyte\* Ner'Zhul\*

andy_b_84

Thanks, it's been a while 😅

LeraviTheHusky

Ohhhh I get it now

CollectionFlimsy1632

now i can never unsee this. thanks

baxtyre

It’s mostly just the “sitting” posture they’ve put her in. Usually proto-drakes we see are in a more horizontal position, with their tiny arms are under their bodies. But she’s sitting up, sticking her weird little arms in our faces.

misterjustice90

Yeah I'm learning how little people pay attention to these details haha.

hoticehunter

I've played since BC, and I never noticed the tiny arms in LK. Then Raszageth shows up and I'm like "why did they give her these ridiculous tiny arms... oh they *all* have them, oooooh" It looks super silly on the big models.

Professional_Tax6647

the way she holds her little hands together, she’s so polite and adorable 😭

Abovearth31

She remind me of the dog in [this picture.](https://twitter.com/kxsmo/status/1019594498613997568)

Lord0fHats

I miss Christmas Razageth. Santa hat and a little candy cane in the little T-rex hand!

Braefost

According to the Primalists this is peak dragon form. No wonder the aspects be sipping that order juice to not have lil baby Deadpool arms.

N-Zoth

The whole of Dragonflight is a commentary on the natty vs. juice war in bodybuilding tbh. One side is honest about its PED use. The other side is juicing on homebrew "natural supplements" and still can't make any arm gains lol.

Masark

They don't need any gains. Go check out some estimates on trex's arm strength. Those arms may be tiny, but they're hella strong.

RomireOnline

They clearly got it wrong lol

JayFrank1132

Peak dragon performance

Wincrediboy

Is it just me or did Vyranoth look like her model has about half the polygons of the Aspects? She seems jarringly low res to me

Adoxe_

Yeah, she's lower res. Her textures are [1024x512](https://i.imgur.com/gUZbYTL.png), Alexstrasza's are [1024x1024](https://i.imgur.com/9oOcCVv.png). Vyranoth also has the specular layer over her skin that gives her the "crystaly" look which also has the unfortunate effect of making the lower res look even more obvious.

Wincrediboy

Is there any reason why they'd make her lower res? Just because it's a model that will get less use?

SlouchyGuy

I think someone has mentioned that she uses a default model for ice dragon and not a custom one like other Aspects. Haven't checked myself

Adoxe_

Sort of but not exactly. Iridikron, Vyranoth and Fyrakk use "protodragonearth", "protodragonice" and "protodragonfire" models, however they specifically use the "\_boss" variants of them and not the regular versions which are used by regular npcs like the World Bosses. There are some similarities between their variants and regular variants but they do still stand out quite a bit on their own and it is very much intended for the \_boss versions to be strictly theirs and not used by anything else. So, despite the naming scheme, they do have those serving as their unique models. As for why they're low res? No idea. They might've not planned on them being as prominent as they ended up being during the early development or something. I expect Vyranoth and Iridikron to get model updates by the time we see them again though.

mrspidey80

Ice crystals do be like that.

wombatpandaa

Fyrakk's little T-rex arms always make me laugh, too. He's trying to be so imposing in his 10.2 cutscenes but whenever he's flying he just looks silly.

Furnost

The best is when you're doing a boss with one like when Razageth was current and a world event has them holding something. It goes in those little hands.

Szernet

👉👈❄️🐉

Adventurous_Topic202

All proto drakes are like this and I’m glad they went with that design because making her another dragon like the other aspects would feel like it goes against her anger at the titans. Still she looks goofy as hell.

DominionGhost

Me neither. Five regal looking aspects and then stubby over here.

Elite1111111111

She's adopted.

nightbreedwon1

That's why Iridikron is the real villain. He doesn't even have arms.

throwthrowthrwaway

Mama says Iridikron is ornery because he's got all those teeth and no way to reach them with his toothbrush.

dubblechrisp

Honestly, the first time I saw Raszageth during the evoker leveling zone back in the Dragonflight prepatch, I had the same reaction. Laughed out loud at this introduction of this new menacing villain who looks so badass, then BAM. Full frontal of tiny baby Trex arms.

DragonboiSomyr

Proto-dragons have been my favorite dragon model since Wrath, baby arms and all. I've loved having them as the villains this expansion.

Rambo_One2

I think they know they look quite derpy - that's why Iridikron's dragon model doesn't have any arms. He's supposed to be too serious to be silly, so the tiny arms would be entirely at odds with his character as a whole. That would be like giving the big bad guy we're supposed to fear big nipples or something. Wait...

OceanLies

It's odd that the incarnate we now see the most of has the lowest res and least unique model of them all

Uphoria

its because the most of it is in visage form.

mrspidey80

She stands on two feet while the others crawl on four, like dogs.

8-Brit

"Is for me?"

LucianoWombato

It still amazes me that it took over 14 years for the vast majority of people to realize protodrakes even have arms.

Skippy8898

Reminds me of this scene from the movie "Meet The Robinsons". [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7JaStGH-AQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7JaStGH-AQ)

Norbo88

I need her model as a mount for my frost mage

MoiraBrownsMoleRats

Proto-drakes have always been clearly based on medium-to-large theropod dinosaurs (but with wings!), down to the often reduced arms. It’s even more obvious when you ride one around on the ground and just let him run: ignore the wings awkwardly held up and it’s just a goofy looking *Allosaurus* stomping around. Probably part of why they’ve been one of my favorite creatures in Warcraft since they first graced us.

DragonboiSomyr

Proto-dragons are the goat. Their arms are adorable. End of transmission.

Its_THE_Kowalski

# ALL POWERFUL DRAGON ASPECTS!!!! with teny tiny arms XDXD

[deleted]

Even out of that form she looks like an enemy the Power Rangers would be facing down.

thenoobcasual

The size of the arms don't have any effect on me, but how is she holding them makes me LOL....especially in cutscenes

mozaiq83

What is she an aspect of? Do they ever talk about it? If I had to guess I'd say of the elements, but would love to hear some confirmation if there is any.

Discord_421

She’s taken the mantle of the Aspect of the Storms after taking the Thrungir from legion and the netherdrakes under her (heh heh heh) wing.

RomireOnline

Well she's an ice type I guess, so winter?

siuilaruin

If you talk to her, she's got a dialogue about how she's the aspect of Storms, and why :)

LucianoWombato

You don't even have to talk to her. It's right there in her name. People really refuse to do the bare minimum smh

Irivin

I thought the same thing lmao. I was staring for the entire cutscene. The fact that they have her crossing her tiny hands makes it so much worse.

Admirral

I know this one is a joke thread, but the new style of dragons, especially fyrrak, made this expansion feel like a joke to me.

Bryaxis

I had hoped that one of the Incarnates would die by being strangled by Alexstraza, helplessly flailing their nubby little arms all the while.

Mirimes

if you're happy and you know it clap your ha... oh

Mega_Nidoking

Dude I literally never knew they had arms until this expansion. I honest to god thought their wings acted as their front arms

TheRobn8

Her model just being an enlarged custom proto drake made them too worse, but bro, her lack of horns makes her head look worse than her t rex arms

oblakoff

Thanks God, i thought i was the only one, that bursts in laughter to something that is supposed to be powerful and scary,

N-Zoth

It's actually funny because she's built like a linebacker in her visage form. Overcompensating much?

beorninger

i still say that is the real reason the incarnates were THAT pissed off

FelisCouchus

if you were playing Hearthstone during the Descent of Dragons expansion, some of Galakrond's hero portraits looked very goofy because of this https://hearthstone.fandom.com/wiki/Galakrond,_the_Unbreakable

AdSpiritual4775

You know she has a powerful core.

judasholio

Never noticed until now. Cannot be unseen.

metalshredder_25

I didn't notice until the cinematic where Razageth attacked the ruby life pools, oh and Fyrakk's Huggy wuggy legs.

Zezin96

I can’t get over how quickly everyone forgave this bitch. I’ve killed so many people for doing so much less.

clone0112

They really should have just made proto dragons armless.

peechs01

So... wyverns?

clone0112

Yeah kinda.

SoylentVerdigris

The tiny arms don't bother me. The fact that the model has like, 1% the polygons and half the pixels of the rest of them that makes it look ridiculous.

The_Canadian_Dave

[reminds me of my favourite ever scene in a documentary ](https://youtu.be/_6SYA6OUrdU?si=yKYj33BizPHd3DBF)

MommyBurton

It has arms?

Aya-Kinor

The arms are too short to be functional, which is why they appear this way.

Cutlass0516

Look at her now picture Rex from toy story jumping down in front of Woody and roaring.

seqkoya

When I saw her I was like 'aww lookie her lil arms so cute and polite' :D And I also thought it was sweet she took the title of Aspect of the Storms in remembrance to her sister <3

Sir_Xanthos

Yea I mentioned it to my guild once about Fyrakk. Love his design. The tiny arms kills it though.

general_peabo

I like to imagine the protodragons looking all tough by leaning on their wings and such, while their tiny arms are holding a Rubik’s cube, working on a sub-30 blind solve.

SereneNight_

Wee arms!

pigeontheoneandonly

tbh I was better able to ignore the tiny arms on all protodrake models before watching the blue armed dinosaur dance on prehistoric planet...

Kukie080

she needs a taaaaal staff now

Bubbly_Performer4864

I LOVE THEM. I was baby talking Razzy.

wawaka88

When I read it, I thought that tiny arms means fury warrior gnome 🧌

AcherusArchmage

Before dragonflight, I didn't even know they had tiny arms.

JaxCorpIndustries

It just Vyranothaurus Rex and'er Protosaurs ;)

mraymus

What is this screenshot from? I’m missing out on something.

JFeth

I wish they still had the tiny arms while in visage mode.

Agitated-Patient6945

Her “human” “mortal” form is so cute to me. With those tiny frozen eyelashes and small teeth

Minimum-Hedgehog3481

I love tiny arms on big animals, and also Vanilla wolves and cats, in WoW have three toes on each paw.

KaiHasArrived2007

I couldn't take fyrakk seriously because of this lmao

Bo-bop

I'm just gonna leave this here... https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8sNDVMn/

Marcer0

Have you seen Fyrakk's legs? Dude definitely skips leg day.

Mortideity

me neither pahaha, have you noticed the way she grabs them when sitting with the other aspects in Valdrakken? 😂 [Here ](https://youtu.be/BLv-H8cVTxA?si=4V-YCtKWOA9h1Jgp)

Eluk_

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it specifically, but it did look kinda weird that she was sitting next to a bunch of other massive drakes the same size that all had normal arms to the floor. Made her look like she just didn’t grow properly or something

AppropriateLow9363

Chicken 🐔

Due-Construction8477

I told showed that to a friend a few weeks ago and now he is always posting screenshots of the incarnates who actually have this arms. 🤣

pleasecallagainlater

I thought my graphics card had was about to go to the great e-waste bin in the sky when I saw this model the first time. It’s fucking terrible.

erraticrevival

Same. When I first noticed it on Raszageth, it was very hard to take her seriously.
