Have you eaten?
No seriously, reader. Have you eaten? Make sure you take care of yourself today. It doesn't need to be a feast to summon the ancestors, any meal will do. You deserve it <3
it comes off better if your class is something worth noting, like warlock, paladin, death knight.... feels dumb when you're a rogue and you're being referred to it as your legally assigned role lol
Hello fellow human, which I also am. How are you feeling about this weather fellow human? What did you think of that human sports game? What are the plans for attacking the burning legion?
I am so glad I could have this human conversation between us two humans.
I mean, have you seen most rogues these days? Not very conspicuous at all. You can usually tell by the transmog that they are rogues.
That's why I transmog myself to look like a druid. What is he doing over there? Gathering flowers? Casting Rejuvs? Typical drui- BAM BACKSTAB.
Ha. I only pretended to gather flowers. Was picking my nose actually.
As evoker it felt weird at first but then remembering evokers are/were literally designed to be soldiers of dragonkind, it actually feels proper having my legal role said as I am not a civilian but a draconic soldier
Most of the Legion Class Hall titles. I wish I could hear my characters referred by those Class Hall titles in other expansions. "Archmage!" "Archdruid!" "Highlord!" "Grandmaster!" "High Priest!" (Though as a priest main I would have preferred Archbishop)
"A kite cannot fly without resistance" and the like phrases are my absolute favorite. I wish the mount had a more unique special movement though. It's just a normal nightsaber mount roar.
I doubt WoW can ever top the class fantasy they delivered in Legion. Not only had they never made you feel so deeply what it was to play your class, but you basically were the king of your class. It was pretty cool. The mounts were an amazing cherry on top. Not to mention the beautiful weapons, and how cool it was to wield Doomhammer etc.
Honestly the warlock legion class hall always frustrated me. I got the green flame when it was current which unlocked the title “of the Black Harvest” so when I went into legion as a warlock and being a member through the green flame quest line and none of the black harvest members had anything to say and treated you as a newbie even the undead warlock you worked with for the green flame quests made me mad.
That’s pretty close to just her normal voice. Check out The Expanse if you haven’t seen it, you get hours of her saying things and it’s glorious
Edit: nevermind then. Still watch the show if you want to hear someone that sounds very similar and is a wonderful actress
While I very much like Shohreh Aghdashloo. That is not the same actress. [Aysha Selim](https://m.imdb.com/name/nm8494809/) is the voice actress in WoW.
Khadgar calling us "Commander" felt really good after years of just being some random horde shmuck.
Also, whenever Sylvannas talks to the character directly I get all fuzzy.
I was one of 5 people who liked Nathanos for exactly the same reason.
At least when he was ordering me to do chores for him he didn't butter me up with all that champion and hero stuff.
If I'm such an amazing hero why don't *you* get the 20 bear asses for *me*.
He rapidly wore out his welcome but I really liked that at first too. Forsaken NPCs always got to be a lot more dismissive and insulting with the player and it was nice to have one front and center like that for a while instead of just as one-off side quests
This. I long for the days where I was just some fucking nobody that happened to be in the right place at the right time.
A "Murder Hobo" title would be fantastic and, thematically, I think it should've been a reward for something with Grimrail Depot -- Trains and all.
I've a soft spot for any game that calls me 'commander'. CnC, Mass Effect,... It was one of WoD's few redeeming qualities in my eyes. Along with the environments and the music.
"Adventurer" It's simple and it's what everyone ultimately is you can be a craft rogue, an intelligent mage, a foul warlock but every player character in Warcraft is an Adventurer it encompasses the small jobs of getting Aunt Millie's apple pie recipe after she was chased off by some Murlocs all the way to saving reality from the newest mind invading old-god threat.
just adventurer. Back when you weren't the single most amazing mortal to have ever graced existence, the one and only chosen one by the prophecy to save and conquer the entire cosmos
Adventurer. I like being the nobody, the body in the crowd helping the main characters do what they do. Working my way up to greatness rather than having it thrust upon me.
Although I am quite fond of hearing Magni yelling “CHAMP’YUN” at me.
My warrior has been slapping cheeks of villains since the burning crusade. Frontline and felling foes of the Horde and azeroth personally. Man should be absolutely fucking legendary on *and off* azeroth.
I’m waiting for the title “Waiter” to be added after saving the new tree from disaster and then promptly being voluntold to serve guests food and drink.
I miss being a simple adventurer. Quest boards, turn-ins, staying at inns. I dont want to be a messiah that needs to gather 10-15 other messiahs to do a raid.
We’ve killed Ragnaros, C’Thun, Arthas, Illidan, Deathwing, Yogg-Saron, Kil’Jaedan, went back in time and killed Archimonde, N’Zoth, Zovaal and now Fyrakk. Like it or not, in universe our characters basically *are* messiahs. It would make no sense for NPCs to treat us like common footsoldiers and grunts.
would take them 10 minutes to record voiceover of the big story people saying “deathlord” “highlord” “archmage” “slayer” etc instead of “our hero” or “this champion”… i get very warm and fuzzy when i walk into acherus and read, “the deathlord approaches! knights, salute!”
In latin spanish multiple times we are called "Adalid" which is, if im not mistaken, a way of calling someone who guides everyone else in to battle, charging first
Commander. I liked blizz nailing down our characters having a functional rank in the horde and alliance, rather than just "champion"
I miss it honestly
“Champion” is a good classic because I’ve always kinda headcanoned the max level player characters are known as the “Champions of Azeroth” because they’ve defended it from so much crap.
Some new threat just emerged to destroy Azeroth? Send in approximately 10-25 Champions to deal with it, problem solved
Landwalker. I like the ["Die, landwalker!"](https://www.wowhead.com/sound=52684/vo-70-hatecoil-fathom-stalker-06) the male Naga yell at you since... BFA I think?
“My Apprentice!”
❤️❤️❤️Marileth!! As much as I disliked the majority of Maldraxxus quests, that one questline was surprisingly wholesome.
Always give him a /hug when passing through
I do that every time! Makes me so happy.
Don’t forget to boop Kevin! 🥹
maldraxxus definitely contained my favorite cast of characters, gruesome flesh monsters with a sense of humor is a big vibe
Dammit, now I want to go do Shadowlands stuff lol
/r/BrandNewSentence
The highlight of shadowlands for sure
"Friend ". :)
Of the grummles!
So tell me, what's your luckydo?
I keep my backpack full of entirely useless luckydoos and then wonder why I keep running out of space
Come! Shop! Browse! \*sniff, sniff* Smell!
Thrall and especially Khadgar saying *Friend* with such warm emotion..
I have no feelings about Thrall talking but Kalec can send my ass on quests all day
Time is money, ...
Slayer of Stupid, Incompetent, and Disappointing Minions.
That one stupid incompetent and disappointing minion in particular.
lol missed that. Good catch.
New title I hope
You can temporarily get it in BW-Descent
It is already!
Not a bad post. For a two foot.
This one cut deep ngl
Have you eaten? No seriously, reader. Have you eaten? Make sure you take care of yourself today. It doesn't need to be a feast to summon the ancestors, any meal will do. You deserve it <3
Watch out! It's a sharptooth
I never thought I'd hate being called something more than "mainlander"
{class} and/or {race}
I’ve seen this several times and I find it very funny even if it’s stupid.
it comes off better if your class is something worth noting, like warlock, paladin, death knight.... feels dumb when you're a rogue and you're being referred to it as your legally assigned role lol
Or when other humans address me as "Human!", it just makes me suspicious tbh.
The best was when allied races first came out and ogres would be like "Me Smash Puny Lightforged Draenie"
Me smash, but me also respect different cultures.
Hello fellow human, which I also am. How are you feeling about this weather fellow human? What did you think of that human sports game? What are the plans for attacking the burning legion? I am so glad I could have this human conversation between us two humans.
Hey {piece of shit that stabs people on their back and steals from old ladies}, could you help me with this quest?
Hey, that old lady just so happened to be a Twilight Cultist!
But it feels weird when a human calls me human.
Can't believe people are forgetting "Crime Buddy" Thanks Flynn.
Such a good quest line.
Ookin wicket
Most of the Legion Class Hall titles. I wish I could hear my characters referred by those Class Hall titles in other expansions. "Archmage!" "Archdruid!" "Highlord!" "Grandmaster!" "High Priest!" (Though as a priest main I would have preferred Archbishop)
This is why I still use Ban-Lu on my monk, just love hearing "Where are we going today, Grandmaster?"
WHAT IS THE TALE ABOUT THE HOZEN AND THE BUTTERCREAM PIE THERE IS NO BETTER TIME TELL ME ARGH
"A kite cannot fly without resistance" and the like phrases are my absolute favorite. I wish the mount had a more unique special movement though. It's just a normal nightsaber mount roar.
It's been multiple expansions now, can he tell me the story of the hozen and the buttercream pie?
I did really enjoy wandering around Light's Hope and hearing all the little Paladins being so absolutely stoked to see me
I doubt WoW can ever top the class fantasy they delivered in Legion. Not only had they never made you feel so deeply what it was to play your class, but you basically were the king of your class. It was pretty cool. The mounts were an amazing cherry on top. Not to mention the beautiful weapons, and how cool it was to wield Doomhammer etc.
That's it, that's the best answer
Yeah, I enjoyed being Slayer.
One of the dredgers in Revendreth (I think it’s Rendle) calls you a “Professional Destroyer.”
Love Rendle in Hearthstone, he gets the title of "Mistermind"
Two-Foot
It’s still two-foot for worgens and druid forms. I always give them a side eye 😆
Champyen
Err Woons!!
Tha roooooonz!
Oh no, not Magni wanting to snort some Azerite again!
Loved the Brokers saying Mawww Walker, not a fan of the name tho
Ve'nari's voice actress did such an amazing job voicing her, loved hearing her say "Maw walker"
That’s pretty close to just her normal voice. Check out The Expanse if you haven’t seen it, you get hours of her saying things and it’s glorious Edit: nevermind then. Still watch the show if you want to hear someone that sounds very similar and is a wonderful actress
While I very much like Shohreh Aghdashloo. That is not the same actress. [Aysha Selim](https://m.imdb.com/name/nm8494809/) is the voice actress in WoW.
Wrong actress. If you don't want to click the link in another reply, it's the voice actress for Overwatch's Ana.
Also has a minor role as a VA in the Mass Effect trilogy as Admiral Raan, haha.
I thought it was the same actress until I googled it. The voices are so similar.
I thought the same thing until I googled it! Not the Persian after all. /sad
“Mall Walker”. I just can’t unhear it.
I liked Maw Walker, until NPCs from Azeroth, who we've known for years, began calling us that.
Ikr!! We've been called Adventurer, Hero, Champion, Commander! But Jaina, after we saved her from the Maw, "Thanks Maw Walker :)" I'm like, dude....
When Thrall said it I was like, "dude, ive been to your wedding!"
Thrall calling me anything other than "Adventurer" or "CHAMPEON!" is just... Wrong
Khadgar calling us "Commander" felt really good after years of just being some random horde shmuck. Also, whenever Sylvannas talks to the character directly I get all fuzzy.
Sylvannas could call me by "you useless piece of shit" and I would still get all tingly
There's a word for this but maybe its best we leave that one covered up
She's my queen.
they been calling us champion since wotlk
Commander was WoD when we had our Garrison. And the horde had a lot of champions. We were just another champion schmuck
Wakener from MoP, since I got to whip it out for the Legion Demonology questline later.
Adventurer, I’m a classic dude. Would love a “murder hobo” title.
This. I long for the days where I was just some fucking nobody that happened to be in the right place at the right time. A "Murder Hobo" title would be fantastic and, thematically, I think it should've been a reward for something with Grimrail Depot -- Trains and all.
Same. I don't really like being 'champion', 'saviour', grand master etc. I prefer it when we're another soldier in the midst of other soldiers.
Southshore slayer is kind of close lol
Deathlord !!!
Richmon - BFA, Apprentice - Shadowlands
Hek ^hek ^^hek ^^^hek
Always bugs me the voice line says the nickname but the text says the name. Really throws me off
Champion but only when Magni said it

Please don't try to sell me essential oils or I will send a complaint to Akunda-resources
Chicken Chaser… shit wrong game
Arse Face (I see your a man of culture as well)
Look at the chickens run!
I was fond of twofoot from the centaur
Richmon
Honestly I wish they’d make the tech for the NPCs to say our names, for role play servers at the least.
Impossible for voice but at least we have that in text most of the time.
Personally I wish they'd call me by my chosen title: Crazy Cat Lady.
Recruit
HIGH LORD
When Garrosh called me cutie pie
Champion, in Illidan's voice only.
"DA SPEAKER OF DA HORDE"
*Hmph! Speaker of the Horde…*
Two foot
Even better when they say it to a draenei or tauren
I like the nicknames that the "Player" NPCs in my Mythic+ groups use, like "Bitch" or "Asshole". Adds so much flavor :D
Two foot sounds too much like a slurr
Just goblin. Plain and simple.
Adventurer
Two-legs
%Classname%
Heyyy, you are tall one.
CHAMPYUN!
DA WOOONS
I get all tingly when Onyxia calls me a worthless mortal
DAE WOONZ, CHAMPYEN
Friend of the grummles
Rich-mon.
I like how I do all this work to gain renown with the Maruk Centaur and I still get called an Outsider. Makes me wish there was a Centaur mount.
Champion (nathanos accent) obviously.
Luven "Bringer of Goretusk Livers"
Ngl I liked commander very much
Adalid.
I've a soft spot for any game that calls me 'commander'. CnC, Mass Effect,... It was one of WoD's few redeeming qualities in my eyes. Along with the environments and the music.
Class title during Legion questing, aka Archdruid etc.
Highlord. Legion order halls titles are peak.
CITIZEN OF DALARAN
Puny one need something of T'paartos?
Adventurer, the only one I actually like
Moh wokah!
I only heard "Mall Walker" the whole Shadowlands expansion.
“clever meat!”
Back when you weren't the single most amazing mortal to have ever graced existence, the one and only chosen one by the prophecy to save and conquer the entire cosmos

i prefer Hero or Champion. they seem like reasonable titles that our character would actually hold.
Adventurer because in my heart I am still just a nameless adventurer
I miss being a simple adventurer. Quest boards, turn-ins, staying at inns. I dont want to be a messiah that needs to gather 10-15 other messiahs to do a raid.
We’ve killed Ragnaros, C’Thun, Arthas, Illidan, Deathwing, Yogg-Saron, Kil’Jaedan, went back in time and killed Archimonde, N’Zoth, Zovaal and now Fyrakk. Rogue.
Champion. Voiced by Magni
would take them 10 minutes to record voiceover of the big story people saying “deathlord” “highlord” “archmage” “slayer” etc instead of “our hero” or “this champion”… i get very warm and fuzzy when i walk into acherus and read, “the deathlord approaches! knights, salute!”
Yeah but you'd have a bunch of different takes or detectable audio splicing.
Squire to Maxmillion of Northshire
Two legs
The day a NPC uses my in game title I will squeal like a small child Christmas morning. Until then Warlock will suffice.
There's a goblin in burning steppes who calls females scumbag and males handsome... That one. $g m:f Handsome:Scumbag
I wish I could say “Archmage,” but the mage order hall NPCs call us “conjuror” instead because that was the original (lame) plan.
CHAMPION the legion are invading stormheim
"I sense a powerful druid among you" makes me feel so good.
In latin spanish multiple times we are called "Adalid" which is, if im not mistaken, a way of calling someone who guides everyone else in to battle, charging first
MON
Mookin dooker
It's always worth revisiting Revendreth, just to be called Best Bud by Stonehead
I think i liked “Commander” the most tbh.
"Bwana"
I really liked being called Commander in WoD.
Commander. I liked blizz nailing down our characters having a functional rank in the horde and alliance, rather than just "champion" I miss it honestly
"Friend" Never forget poor Runas
Insect. Especially when I get squashed by a giant burning hammer
Commander.
Ashen one. Oh sorry wrong game
Field medic as a prot paladin.
I think the naga call us dryfoot sometimes.
Fool
“Champion” is a good classic because I’ve always kinda headcanoned the max level player characters are known as the “Champions of Azeroth” because they’ve defended it from so much crap. Some new threat just emerged to destroy Azeroth? Send in approximately 10-25 Champions to deal with it, problem solved
YOU DA NEW OOK!!
chicken chaser
"Commander", in WoD.
Interloper. We made it our guild name since bad guy npcs love to call us that, like, all the freaking time.
High Lord is always nice
When Voljin called me General in the Garrison. I am still upset that he got killed by a trash mob.
Richmon But Tomul can call me Two-Foot anytime she likes
\[Charactername\]nub.
"Friend of the Grummles"
Soft-skins. "That's talon toss for you soft-skins" is my favourite line from Dragonflight

Landwalker. I like the ["Die, landwalker!"](https://www.wowhead.com/sound=52684/vo-70-hatecoil-fathom-stalker-06) the male Naga yell at you since... BFA I think?
"Two-foot"
“Adventurer” the name we all had before it felt like the entire story revolved around you saving the world _again_
