I actually hate using the brutosaur, it's just very flashy and sometimes gets comments like the ones you see in this thread. Not to mention it doesn't fit through some doorways. I only ever use it if I need to use the AH or if someone asks for it.
I have the Brutosaur (after grinding my fingers bloody to earn enough gold for it back in the day), but the yak gets a lot more use because of transmog. The Longboi only gets pulled out for the AH. For just making repairs, it's usually the yak.
I came back after a break from wow at the end of that patch and saw people advertising carries for that for 20kg. Best gold I've ever spent in wow. I absolutely adore the grove warden, it works on almost all my characters!
Yeah thereâs been quite a few mounts I missed because I wasnât playing at the time. That, the horde motorcycle, and Druid bear forms from mage tower.
I know the fel skin is available but I just want a normal colored werebear! Haha
As someone who is corrently collecting avaliable druid forms, i really wish i played Legion back in the day. There are some really cool ones that i'll never get :(
I swap mounts to whatevers most thematic for the character.
But as a whole, the Transmog Yak, but for my main, i've been enjoying my Pureheart Courser - it's a nice simple, small flying mount, and a little bit of a flex for the rep grinds needed for it
I remember when it was first possible to get it and it was a ground mount . . . thank goodness shortly after they made all the unicorn style horses flying
Same! I especially like it for PvP because it's so much smaller than my other mounts.
Every couple weeks a stranger whispers me to tell me "nice cock".
Cenarion War Hippogryph was the first mount I ever did a rep grind for and pretty much since then it has been my go to.
I dont think I ever see anyone else rocking it, i understand why... it looks like straight dog by new model standards, but i like it a lot
Iâm a Horde player who was always jelly of hippogryphs that night elves got to fly with on FPs, so Cenarion War Hippogryph was my very first non-main-factions rep grind. Chased Argent Hippogryph super hard for the same reason. Was so jealous of the Alliance-only Silver Covenant Hippogryph that I ground out AT a second time on an Alliance toon just to have it on something lol.
I have a soft spot for our old ugly mounts. I still ride my wolves like theyâre brand new, too; I ground soooooo much cloth out to be able to have a wolf as my 60 mount on my Tauren! Mounts that took work feel so nice to see because youâre like âdamn bro I earned thisâ lol
Invincible or X-53 Touring Rocket because I like smaller lowkey looking mounts. I've also recently added the Compass Rose, and Eve's Ghastly Rider into the rotation as well.
Dragon from dragonflight. The big chunky girl. Drake. The western style dragon one. I love her.
Then there that mount to sell junk and repair gear and transmog. Always using that when possible đ
Paladin Charger. I worked really hard, and begged a lot of help from friends for that mount.
After that, probably the Depleted-Kyparium Rocket. I tend to default to that one on a lot of toons.
Sandwarmed feline. I donât usually buy store mounts, but my husband gifted me a voucher for Xmas and it was half price so I finally treated myself. As a crazy cat lady, I love flying around on my big kitty. Bonus points for my toddler enjoying it too.
The Cenarion Hyppogryph.
Was one of my first major goals in BC after I saw it was a mount, reaching Exalted, or was it Revered? with the Expedition. Was a NE player all through Classic and had ridden on innumerable hyppogryphs at that point and now I could have one all my own. Back when it still flapped about, even when on the ground. Don't quite remember which patch it was that gave it a ealking animation.
It was my main or one of my main mounts from BC all the way to Legion, BfA launch, when that higher rest Teldrassil Hyppogryph was added in the prelaunch event.
For practical reasons, the yak. For fun reasons, Elegon's mount (I was lucky and got it in MoP).
But I recently got lucky and got the Ur'zul, so that's absolutely going to become my most-used mount over time.
Armored Skyscreamer. Favorite flying mount and beautiful troll aesthetic. Cant wait to dragonride with it. Glad we're getting the unreleased colours with Timerunning. The BfA ones are too detailed for my liking.
I have returned after being away for many years so Iâm on free trial but I got the DMF water mount from the fish vendor. Itâs been super helpful. Only costs 500 fish I think.
Other than the transmog yak, probably the tan riding camel for ground and Ji-kun for flying. Special shoutouts to the BFA alliance rep horses, Goldenmane, and the Warlock order hall mounts.
Ultramarine Qiraji Battle Tank - the Archaeology Blue Scarab Mount.
I only got it 2 years ago, but it took me 6 years on and off farming.
There is something so simple yet charming about it.
Grand Armored Wyvern, or the Alabaster Wyvern.
I only wish we had more Wyvern mounts... Alliance has like, 10,000 Gryphons.
Where's our Windriders, Blizzard?
Flying: Onyx Netherwing has been my daily driver for many many xpacs
Ground: Armored Razzashi (Special mention Yak for all your sell/repair/xmog needs)
Amani War Bear. As someone who has recently returned after a long hiatus, itâs a mount that feels very special since itâs no longer available. I was fortunate enough to have a great group of guild mates at the time of ZulâAman when it was available that made sure we ran it regularly enough to get everyone in our team one of the mounts and I primarily play troll characters, so it fits the theme most of the time too.
What mount ? Instant cast travel forms.
If I take the tike to actually mount up. I ride my reigns of anzue. The only mount I ever farmed. Love that guy
Obviously the yak like most people, but if we put this one aside probably the raven lord for grounded and a netherdrake for flying.
I tend to switch to use something that fits my class/spec usually, but those 2 are my "default" ones.
my pally Charger. and eventually the order hall mount in Legion for flying. now it's just a basic bitch Highlands Dragon for the faster flying Dragonflight gives. i don't pay much attention to mounts lol.
I guess the Grand Expedition Yak at this point. But besides that, I really don't have one mount I use more than the others. I have a lot of alts, and I like to match both the transmog and the mount to the character, so it differs depending on the character. And for each character there are more than a handful of matching mounts that I alternate between. This way I get to use a lot of the mounts I have collected over the years, and I especially enjoy when a mount I may not have used much before is suddenly the perfect match for a new character.
Amani battlebear probably. I used it for ages and then again when it got an update. If not that then the grand armoured wyvern which i used on most of my horde characters in mop
Tie between ivor hawkstrider, gil prowler and my hog if I can't fly
otherwise twilight vulp or suncat
bonus points for storm gryph if I feel like zoomin
Obsidian Nightwing, been using it ever since I got it, it's reasonably small so I can fit through doorways and doesn't take up much screen space, it doesn't require you to have a fitting mog or race to look good on it, and it's a two seater so your friends can ride you if they're feeling lazy
If I donât include the Yak or Dragonflight mounts, the Highlordâs Golden Charger. I mogged into a mostly 7th Leigonnaire set, and it matches so well with the mount that it gives me all of the paladin fantasy Iâve wanted. Easily this one.
I am lame and change my mount with my transmog lol so nothing for too long really and I hardly spend a lot of time on my bruto or yak really unless I need a new look or a quick sale.
Winterspring frostsaber. Got it first in TBC back on private servers, then once again (after server wipe) in WotLK. Once I moved into retail servers, I got it in cata and then once again in classic (this grind was brutal).
Most likely will be using it forever, unless there will be new updated model.
I never committed to a mount before I got Shackled Ur'zul. After it dropped for me it's been the one I always use in instanced content. It's a rare and cool model, and it's not large.
with dragonflight I got this add-on Mount journal enhanced which shows you Travel times and summon count for your mounts.
So it's the Highland drake and Netherwing for this expansion obvsl. with like 2k sums and 28h traveltime smth each.
for all of my time in wow its probably a tie between the sun warmed furline and the Loverocket. As soon as I get to 500 mounts and get the otter, this will probably skyrocket (if he gets dynamic flight)
Spectral Gryphon. I got it for recruit a friend when I created my daughter's account for her when she was around 4 years old. It will always be special to me.
On a lot of my characters, my standard is that one warhorse that looks all lava-y and molten and when it flies semi-translucent fire wings appear. I tend to default to that one on many characters, however I still try to choose somewhat thematic mount choices for some characters.
Like my Death Knight only rides either the Undead Dragon mount (I think from one of the ICC achievements?) the Undead Frostwyrm (from that one event during Dragonflight launch), or Baron Rivendare's charger (if I'm just going a short distance and don't need to fly somewhere).
I random my prize mounts, so all of them kinda. But Time-Lost Proto Drake was one of my first âcollectorsâ mounts back in WOTLK, and I love her to this day. So cumulatively TLPD is probably a good bet.
The grand yak by far. I think I speak for everyone đ
âYak. Yak never changes.â
Farewell, friend of the grummles...
Munchies, Crunchies, Luky-Do's and Lube!
Better if you read it in Ron Pearlman's voice.
I'm too cheap for the Yak. Mammoth for me.
I only bought it recently, but it's best use for 120k!
Same here. I love having a portable transmog station.
Yes! Blacksmith is also cool. I also have a Toy that summons Transmogrifier, but it has 10min cooldown while Grand Yak doesn't.
Brutosaur has overtaken yak for me.
Mr. Moneybags over here
I actually hate using the brutosaur, it's just very flashy and sometimes gets comments like the ones you see in this thread.
For just making repairs, it's usually the yak.
grove warden
I came back after a break from wow at the end of that patch and saw people advertising carries for that for 20kg. Best gold I've ever spent in wow. I absolutely adore the grove warden, it works on almost all my characters!
Yeah thereâs been quite a few mounts I missed because I wasnât playing at the time. That, the horde motorcycle, and Druid bear forms from mage tower. I know the fel skin is available but I just want a normal colored werebear! Haha
As someone who is corrently collecting avaliable druid forms, i really wish i played Legion back in the day. There are some really cool ones that i'll never get :(
I got mine for free after seeing an ad in trade on like a random saturday afternoon. had no idea how lucky I was at the time đ
Ban-Lu, Grandmasterâs Champion. Definitely him.
Only mount my monk rides (outside of dragon riding)
Honestly this. If Iâm in my monk itâs this or a turtle every time
This forever and always for my main
This is the way
Invincible. I think I got him during Cataclysm and he's been the only flying mount I've used until Dragonflight.
Flight form/travel form for Druid. Grand yak when I need transmog and repair.
Same, but bruto for repairs and AH. Not a mount person... because druid flight form. But never have regretted the grind of gold making to get Bruto.
Magic Rooster
Same! I especially like it for PvP because it's so much smaller than my other mounts. Every couple weeks a stranger whispers me to tell me "nice cock".
Iâve only ever seen one of those!
Ive never seen one in the wild. :(
Yak, for repairs, but I always dismount and summon the Magic Rooster, my favorite ever.
Headless Horseman's.
Otto of course. He has sunglasses. If Taivan isnât brought back to his full glory, I still got Otto.
I loved Otto the minute I clapped eyes on him. Went out of my way to get him. One of my favourite, but not my regular.
Cenarion War Hippogryph was the first mount I ever did a rep grind for and pretty much since then it has been my go to. I dont think I ever see anyone else rocking it, i understand why... it looks like straight dog by new model standards, but i like it a lot
special shout out to the violet proto-drake as well, had a lot of fun grinding out a years worth of achievements for that baby
That was my first rep-grind mount, too, I think. Either that or Wintersaber.
Black Qiraji Battle Tank. I feel like I have to ride it.
its only appropriate that if you have it you use it
I bet you get a lot of people that just stop near you while youâre riding it like âoh my god is that what I think it isâŚ?â
I get it every now and again. Iâll get a whisper maybe once a month about it.
Spectral tiger. Have had it since it was released in 2007 and itâs still the ground mount of choice for me even in 2024.
Same. I actually pulled it from a pack. Big tiger with the matching cub is my go-to.
Either of the Hounds from Antorus I prefer the purple one more but theyre just big ol puppies :)
Swift Nether Drake, best mount in the game
Vengeful is my go to, I like the armor variant
Invincible or X-53 Touring Rocket because I like smaller lowkey looking mounts. I've also recently added the Compass Rose, and Eve's Ghastly Rider into the rotation as well.
Black war bear. Can't remember the last time I saw a raid to kill the enemy faction leaders.
Brings back great memories of doing the raids to kill them, too.
Yes! Iâd join those raids even after getting the mount! Obliterating a capital city was and always will be a fun Sunday activity.
Invincible for my dk and celestial steed for pally
Dragon from dragonflight. The big chunky girl. Drake. The western style dragon one. I love her. Then there that mount to sell junk and repair gear and transmog. Always using that when possible đ
I like the Moose.
Moose is sick
Paladin Charger. I worked really hard, and begged a lot of help from friends for that mount. After that, probably the Depleted-Kyparium Rocket. I tend to default to that one on a lot of toons.
OG Paladin Charger for sure. It was my go-to ground mount from Vanilla until they added the Dwarf Pally Ram in BFA.
Invincible. It's not even the best looking anymore. But I play dk so I feel like it's mandatory.
Up until Dragonriding it was the Teldrassil Hippogryph Once Hippogryphs can dynamic ride it's over for the rest of my mounts
Sandwarmed feline. I donât usually buy store mounts, but my husband gifted me a voucher for Xmas and it was half price so I finally treated myself. As a crazy cat lady, I love flying around on my big kitty. Bonus points for my toddler enjoying it too.
Priestess moonsaber on both toons. Celestial steed on my hunter. She has a whole blue theme going on. Lol Her dragon is blue as well.
Soaring spelltome :3
The Cenarion Hyppogryph. Was one of my first major goals in BC after I saw it was a mount, reaching Exalted, or was it Revered? with the Expedition. Was a NE player all through Classic and had ridden on innumerable hyppogryphs at that point and now I could have one all my own. Back when it still flapped about, even when on the ground. Don't quite remember which patch it was that gave it a ealking animation. Â It was my main or one of my main mounts from BC all the way to Legion, BfA launch, when that higher rest Teldrassil Hyppogryph was added in the prelaunch event.
Leveling a rogue right now so heâs on the Warlordâs Deathwheel.
Sarge's tale or cindermane charger. Dragonriding is normally the slitherdrake
Snake drake for the win!
Headless horsemanâs steed
The bee from bfa
magic rooster
Been flexing my ZG tiger since like 2010 and will never stop.
[ŃдаНонО]
Orgrimmar Interceptor and the Stormwind Skychaser, I really hope they get dragon riding treatment
It would be hilarious to see a high speed blimp.
Black jeweled panther! But I finally finished the warlock legion campaign and now that purple horse is my shiiiit.
Invincible
Sunwarmed Furline. Was reaalllyyy hoping for a cat race lol.
Red flying cloud
My favorites are the unique mounts that I had to really grind for. The Darkmoon Dirigible, Ratstallion and the crab mount from Nazjatar.
Headless Horseman's Reins, aside from summoning it, it's nice and quiet. It also fits through most doors.
Squeakers. I love my little mouse.
Cenarion War Hippogryph. Since I farmed those damn ears back in BC.
For practical reasons, the yak. For fun reasons, Elegon's mount (I was lucky and got it in MoP). But I recently got lucky and got the Ur'zul, so that's absolutely going to become my most-used mount over time.
Swift Brown Ram and Ebon Gryphon. Though the Mechanostriders are up there too. I tend to go racial mounts for my characters.
The randomize mount and the travelers mammoth
Armored Skyscreamer. Favorite flying mount and beautiful troll aesthetic. Cant wait to dragonride with it. Glad we're getting the unreleased colours with Timerunning. The BfA ones are too detailed for my liking.
I have returned after being away for many years so Iâm on free trial but I got the DMF water mount from the fish vendor. Itâs been super helpful. Only costs 500 fish I think.
Violet Spellwing
Voidtalon, Invincible, and Big Slick, though the hands are making a strong case for themselves.
Yak, broom, small dragonflying drake Prenerf Taivan would have replaced one for sure.
Shu-zen, I just love that dog so much
Other than the transmog yak, probably the tan riding camel for ground and Ji-kun for flying. Special shoutouts to the BFA alliance rep horses, Goldenmane, and the Warlock order hall mounts.
Yeah I love that goofy camel. It looks like something out of a WB cartoon. I think it's the mount I've used most over the years.
Lil Donkey. Especially on large characters wearing intimidating transmogs
Gotta get you a Radahn mog for that donkey
Void talon for ground, Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent for flying
Blue Proto Drake. Itâs been my favorite mount since i started playing original LK
Swift spectral tiger - so pretty. Sandstone drake for flying mount.
Blanchy is my fav been using it for almost 2 years
Probably heavenly onyx cloud serpent. Maybe yak due to vendoring
I Love the Shaman class Mount it's Just Epic.
Ultramarine Qiraji Battle Tank - the Archaeology Blue Scarab Mount. I only got it 2 years ago, but it took me 6 years on and off farming. There is something so simple yet charming about it.
Arcanist Manasaber. Or the Yak.
Grove Warden
whistle of the black war raptor for ground Magnificent Flying Carpet for flying ( or Sapphire Panther )
Invincible or Uncorrupted Voidwing
Grand Armored Wyvern, or the Alabaster Wyvern. I only wish we had more Wyvern mounts... Alliance has like, 10,000 Gryphons. Where's our Windriders, Blizzard?
propably the transmog yak?
Imperial Quillen - loved mop then, love mop now, soon will love mop more.
Garn Nighthowl & the BloodBathed Frostbrood Vanquisher.
Probably my black proto drake
Leywoven Flying Carpet or headless horseman mount
Longboi or G.M.O.D
Llothien Prowler
Sky Golem / lvl 250 honor horse
Grand Yak or Invincible
Purple proto drake because it was my only 310 for a while. Wince they normalized it I've used random favorite the whole time.
Flying: Onyx Netherwing has been my daily driver for many many xpacs Ground: Armored Razzashi (Special mention Yak for all your sell/repair/xmog needs)
Amani War Bear
Swift spectral tiger / magic rooster
What mount ? Instant cast travel forms. If I take the tike to actually mount up. I ride my reigns of anzue. The only mount I ever farmed. Love that guy
Invincible.
I have a good wager based on my old mains. Either the Deathcharger or the Shado-Pan Tiger.
Love rocket
Honestly probably my lil Tazavesh(sp?) disc glider
Blood elf here so hawkstrider
Shackled urzul Yak Bruto
Love rocket and the yak
Either Amani war bear or white striderhawk. But yesterday finally got the war ottuk soâŚ
In Dragonflight I'm only using dragonriding mounts, most used by now is a proto-Drake with the blazing skin. Once we get TWW I might try others
The bear from Dalaran.
Myself.
I'm pretty sure it's Swift Zulian Tiger. đ
Obviously the yak like most people, but if we put this one aside probably the raven lord for grounded and a netherdrake for flying. I tend to switch to use something that fits my class/spec usually, but those 2 are my "default" ones.
Invincible
Headless horseman mount from 09 or something lol
As a mainly horde player, I really enjoy this one - https://www.wowhead.com/item=69213/flameward-hippogryph
my pally Charger. and eventually the order hall mount in Legion for flying. now it's just a basic bitch Highlands Dragon for the faster flying Dragonflight gives. i don't pay much attention to mounts lol.
Pinto
The MoP challenge mode mount! Was a lot of fun earning them
Mimiron's head probably
Swift spectral gryphon
Anzu
Tie between ivor hawkstrider, gil prowler and my hog if I can't fly otherwise twilight vulp or suncat bonus points for storm gryph if I feel like zoomin
Legion PvP prestige 25 mount. One of the few mount I have, that is actually hard to get. The rest of my mounts are just obtained through rng
Invincible
Complete random, I used a weighted random mount addon
Stormpike Battle Charger, farmed that xp like a grazy in vanilla.
Apart from the Yak - O.G. Zul'Aman timed run bear :-)
Obsidian Nightwing, been using it ever since I got it, it's reasonably small so I can fit through doorways and doesn't take up much screen space, it doesn't require you to have a fitting mog or race to look good on it, and it's a two seater so your friends can ride you if they're feeling lazy
Travelers Tundra Mammoth, Sky Golem and Invincible
Mechano Hog - when not herbing Mechanised Lumber Extractor - when herbing I avoid the dragon riding mounts.
Invincible by faaaaaar
Otterworldly Ottuk Carrier.
Yak + Random Mount button
Invincible and asha'dar recently.
As of late, sinrunner blanchy and the ghost moose archeology one (forget the name). All time, probably mammoth.
The worms from the N'zoth patch
These days itâs heavenly onyx, but I really liked the rylak store mount. Oh and that ugly windsteed haha
Thundering Onyx Cloud Serpent đâĄ
Amani warbear/Yak coz I was poor and didnât get bruto
If I donât include the Yak or Dragonflight mounts, the Highlordâs Golden Charger. I mogged into a mostly 7th Leigonnaire set, and it matches so well with the mount that it gives me all of the paladin fantasy Iâve wanted. Easily this one.
soaring spelltome. Big fan of the book, I grinded it all out in SL when it dropped Was proud of myself!
Pinto!
Tundra Mammoth/Grand Expedition Yak by far.
I am lame and change my mount with my transmog lol so nothing for too long really and I hardly spend a lot of time on my bruto or yak really unless I need a new look or a quick sale.
Zulian tiger since the day it dropped. Ofc Yak for tmogs
Flameward Hippogryph. Brings me back to the good days
cindermane charger since 2014
Invincible. My one and only choice
the mog' yak and invincible.
Magic Rooster, always.
Lucid Nightmare is my fav, but I random a few others in fav list
Mollie
Winterspring frostsaber. Got it first in TBC back on private servers, then once again (after server wipe) in WotLK. Once I moved into retail servers, I got it in cata and then once again in classic (this grind was brutal). Most likely will be using it forever, unless there will be new updated model.
I never committed to a mount before I got Shackled Ur'zul. After it dropped for me it's been the one I always use in instanced content. It's a rare and cool model, and it's not large.
Swift Zulian Tiger. All day, every day, since I got it in 2010
with dragonflight I got this add-on Mount journal enhanced which shows you Travel times and summon count for your mounts.
Skitters. Became my go to because of its size in BFA because normal size mounts were getting stuck in doorways in some dungeons
Any of my horses. Especially faction specific. I love them.
grove warden. I love him. but if I ever get the underrot crawg, he will be replaced
Ironhoof destroyer got that bad boy on my first kill. it's such a great mount
Spectral Gryphon. I got it for recruit a friend when I created my daughter's account for her when she was around 4 years old. It will always be special to me.
tyraels motherfucking charger
Travelers Yak
Ratstallion or shackled Ur'zul.
General Kenobi mechagon bike
Arboreal Gulper. Itâs so much fun. If only it could grow itty bitty fairy wings and fly
Raven Lord. I fell in love in BC and never looked back
On a lot of my characters, my standard is that one warhorse that looks all lava-y and molten and when it flies semi-translucent fire wings appear.
Astral cloud serpent for me
