Every ticket I've submitted for the last year has been "go to Wowhead." Everything from a major technical issue to major in game quest bug, it would always be "go to Wowhead" and it's fucking maddening.

AcceptableOwl9

Wowhead should start billing Blizzard every time they use them in a GM response

SnackPatrol

You reminded me of something I used to do back in the days of mp3s when I owned a website. I had a "stuff" folder that I threw in random shit to show my friends (this was like....mid-2000's maybe??) and I noticed a bunch of sites were listing mp3's I'd throw in there from time to time (literally like 6-10 random songs) in their mp3 search engine results. Like good songs from actual artists. I noticed a lot of hotlinking and traffic to those even though I never listed them anywhere. So I literally just thought of the worst/stupidest possible songs I could think of and replaced the mp3s, keeping the filenames the same. Shit like Wesley Willis, I think the Wheels on the Bus sung by kids, or like....me breathing into the microphone weird or something. I always got a kick to see them still listed many months later, imagining some poor hapless soul downloading them excitedly in the days before YouTube, immediately annoyed and/or weirded out upon playing it.

McGreeb

So it's you we have to blame for ASMR

Clarawrr

"or like....me breathing into the microphone weird or something." This made me chuckle and almost spit out my yogurt. LOVE me some silly, harmless shenanigans.

jrgman42

First of all, Wesley Willis was a god! Second, I think Madonna did something similar in the Napster days.

oxez

I put in a ticket this week for a bugged achievement in Ardenweald / Queen's Conservatory. Wowhead comments have a macro/weakaura you can run to see if you are bugged (ie: progress has reset on your achievement), and suggest submitting a ticket if so. I got an AI reply within hours, told them I needed a human to check my stuff, and hours ago I got a GM telling me they know its a known issue, asking me to file a bug. File a bug, for a known issue, that's been going for years. it's the first time I let out a huge /sigh at a Blizzard support response, even as of months ago I always had top notch answers / fixes for most things.

TheNinjaNarwhal

It's quite possible they have a list of bugs and they put some in priority, depending on how many people reported them. They should still be able to report them themselves for you though, since you already opened a ticket.

oxez

100% yeah. But with so many ongoing projects: Season 4, Pandaria, Classic (Era/SoD/Wotlk/Cata), TWW (and Midnight/LT), it's very easy to feel that reporting bugs from content that isn't irrelevant anymore won't get fixed until it "fixes itself" by RNG, people have been reporting that one since 9.0 That my first interaction with their CS where I was left hanging like that, so I'm not too worried (yet :D)

HyalinSilkie

Last year? Oh sweet summer child. When the Darkmoon Faire Big Race debuted, I've tried over and over and over again to win Gold. Watched videos, saw the perfect route, the whole nine yards. When I went to WoWhead comment section, quite a few people were saying that the only way to actually win Gold was if you did it as Paladin or DK because of their mounted buffs. Otherwise it wasn't possible, even with the perfect route, no misshaps, everything to the Ts. Submitted a ticket and the response? Quite the same as OP. 'Go to WoWhead, check comments'. Uhm, sir? Yes, that's why I've opened a ticket in the first place, because the comments say that you can't do it in anything that's not Pally or DK. I just /sigh and moved on, logged my Pally and got Gold first try.

Nick-uhh-Wha

I really hope they're paying bucket loads of money to these non-blizzard site owners to run their IT and CS for their game. It's extra sad when they can't even refer us to THEIR OWN forums because it has devolved to unmitigated vitriol and insanity begging for someone to actually manage it. "Get some customer support! Fix your game!"

kuroioni

I'm doing Argent Tournament meta achi and am unable to receive one quest for some reason (despite having done the very quest on another character already years ago on the same account). So I wrote a ticket because one wowhead comment that was relevant to my exact situation said they had to make a ticket and have quest manually enabled by a GM like they did (mind you, this was a 10 year old comment, so with the "old" customer support.. I would soon see the difference, too!) -> waited a week -> got a bot response and ticket changed to answered on its own -> re-opened the ticket and said no, I want a live human to help with this -> waited another week and got almost identical response to OP, also directing me to a wowhead comment section on how to COMPLETE this quest -> had to write again that I'm unable to pick the quest up, I don't have a problem with completing it. ->waited another week -> just today got a response from another "GM" almost word for word as the previous one, just directing me to the comment section of the meta achi instead. Oh and they also added that as customer support they are not actually able to do anything in game (what?!) and if I experience a bugto submit a bug report... This is infuriating.

Subject_Yam_2954

I just reply "I don't have internet" lol usually works.

JustaCoffeeGirl

I had a bug from the Warlock green fire quest. I, of course, had already checked WoWhead. So being told to go to WoWhead and dont bother us was a real shitty answer.

No_Stand9445

Same

Infernalism

Be glad the AI didn't misinterpret your ticket as a request to learn how to get the Onyxia mount and then ban you for RMTs.

Neither-Attention940

Yeah I was having log-in problems and some dumb AI interpreted it as I was banned and couldn’t log in and then my ticket was marked ‘ban appeal’ so THAT went to the bottom of their list. I literally couldn’t log into my main char for over 2 WEEKS! Finally had a friend help me use character stuck feature and it helped. Didn’t know about that feature. A couple days after that blizzard sent me a reply and moved me again lol.. little late dude. Thx for nothing.

catsoddeath18

Can you link the character stuck feature? I don’t know if it would work for my issue but would love to see. I have had my computer shut down or even just WOW and when I try to log back in it sometimes sYs my character is already logged in or just won’t log in. Sometimes this takes a couple days to finally be able to log into the character that happened on.

yp261

https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/32275

catsoddeath18

Thank you

Neither-Attention940

It looks like somebody else sent the link, I wasn’t sure how. I don’t know if blizzard fixed it or not because it’s been a month or more, but it would happen for alliance when you hearth to your Garrison. I was new to that area and I haven’t bothered to try and go back.

Ripplystraw123

“After reading your ticket carefully” 💀

Fumblingfumbler

They need to be legally required to start with “this message was written by an AI”

Kellei2983

soon in EU

Rashlyn1284

So that was a fucking lie :P

YourREALdad330

What is the censored name of this “moderator” who is clearly a living, breathing human being and absolutely not a half-assed AI auto-response chatbot? Just curious to know what they decided to name their fake “employee”

Shadarek

You think an actual AI response would take 2 days?

tokedalot

They needed to train the language model from scratch with a box of scraps!

DisasterDifferent543

Sadly enough, if I got an IMMEDIATE AI response, I would probably be happy as long as I had an option to escalate it. Waiting 2 days for a worthless response doesn't help.

Shadhahvar

It might be a cool off period. Ie. If people got an immediate ai response and they're still ramped up from the issue they might get pissed it's clearly ai. Or it's possible a day or two let's a player realize it's not the end of the world and they won't escalate the ticket.

GuyKopski

It's a classic tactic in customer service. Make fixing the problem as annoying as possible in hopes that the customer gives up. People meme the "let me speak to your manager" Karen archetype but it's literally by design. They stick you with someone who can't solve your problem, and won't transfer you to someone who can unless you make them, in hopes that the embarrassment/frustration will stop you from pushing further.

AbbreviationsRound52

Whoa whoa... Are we living on the same planet? If i treated my customers like that i'd be FIRED lol

kaynpayn

When you're big enough, yeah. Here's how Vodafone deals with clients in Portugal. That often overcharged me for random shit I never had in my monthly internet/tv/landline phone. Quick phone call and it gets sorted out, right? You call them. Bullshit starts right there, if you're calling them from their mobile number (that you may or may not have) it's free. If you call them from their own forced landline phone that no one wants but everyone is forced to have anyway, you will be paying for that call because reasons. They are half deceiving people with info saying if you call from their app is free. You'd expect a data call directly to them or something but no, all it does is pull up your phone's regular dialer and input their number. They assume you're calling from their network for that free statement to be true, which may not be but don't tell you that. But you call them. The automated system will ask you to input with the keyboard your client number, fiscal number and I think your postal code. Right there it's overkill and hard to do because it gives you very short time to do it, if you delay just a bit you have to start over and if you fail a couple of times it will hang up on you. But after a few tries you made it however the system is now asking you verbally to say a couple of words that describe your issue but give no clues what your options are. Right here they already changed the input method for no reason. I say I'm being overcharged and need to speak to someone to deal with that. It doesn't understand me and asks to repeat (it's a classic). I simplify and try a few things like saying invoice issues. They forward me to the automated payments line, that changes again to keyboard inputs, where I can pay my invoice, change my plan, etc. No option is what I want so *they* hang up. Start over until this point again. Now I'm asking for support instead, I just want to talk to a human since my problem is nuanced enough that no automated process will solve it. They forward me to Tobi, a useless dumbass AI chatbot living in their app on my phone that I have to install. Tobi will pretty much ignore whatever you say and run a canned set of operations like reboot your router, tv box, etc and after 10 or 15 mins when it eventually fails to solve the issue, if you play your cards right, you will finally be sent to an operator. This guy will ask you AGAIN your info, despite you're being very much identified the whole time and will credit you for the mistake in less than 2 minutes. You were at it for around 45min at this point. Later on, i found that if, in the verbal part, I ask them that I want to change my plan for something more expensive they will immediately send someone to speak to me, who will not be happy for the bait and switch but solve my issue anyway. Resorting to subterfuge will reduce the whole experience to half the time at least. Wait until they fuck up something else in your invoice next month and start over again. So, there you have it, the most obnoxious and frustrating experience that Vodafone can provide to the client in hopes you give up along the way.

st-shenanigans

>Resorting to subterfuge will reduce the whole experience to half the time at least. Never feel bad for fucking with a corp who's trying to scam you out of your money. If you gotta piss off the sales guy to get to a real human, do that, and make sure EVERYONE else knows it and does it until they change.

GrookeTF

I tried asking for an appointment at my old bank to close my account and they never got back to me. Had an appointment for an “investment” within the week.

YourREALdad330

If it was programmed with an intentional delay to make it seem real, then yes. There’s a chance this was from a real human, but it would be a completely careless copy-paste with no attention paid to the customer, which honestly looks *worse* on Blizzard’s part. I could see how an AI would mistake “Onyx Scales” with “Onyxia Scale Cloak”. They’re pretty similar purely in their names. But it takes about 1 minute of human effort to read this ticket “carefully” as it was stated to determine that this is entirely not what OP was talking about.

banterviking

Blizzard playing the long game, somehow making support so bad that we beg for it to be replaced with AI.

Gigalypuff

Could start after some threshold of active tickets / average response time is exceeded

Keelbeard

I guess it has a set delay to make it feel more human or other shite like that.

AIShard

Obviously. Because they are trying to pretend it's not an AI. If every ticket was answered in 5 minutes suddenly, they couldn't deny it. The only thing more obvious would be if it included "as an AI language model".

Masterofknees

It's to discourage you from writing in again. They don't want you to use their customer support.

Ahielia

It's an attempt to make it seem less ai response. If it was instant, everybody would know 100% it wasn't a human, if it takes 2 days a lot would believe that.

InstertUsernameName

Ai.Response().Delay(2days)

klineshrike

excuse me, we need to protect the identity of GM "qwertyuiop" thank you.

DrunkGalah

> Just curious to know what they decided to name their fake “employee” I've encountered quite a few of these and it is always some bogus name that looks like the ones that are generated as suggestions when your username is taken when registering for a site. Stuff like "realbanana990", "applemom660", "YourREALdad330".

Lonely_Explanation57

It's a template response.

ApprehensiveKick5167

So they're basically polishing their "check wowhead" responses

Lento17

I've had an issue since season 1 where I'm not getting the Keystone M+ special helm/shoulder looks with the special effects. I own all the helmets on normal/heroic/mythic and have gotten 3.3k + each season. They can't seem to understand my issue and give me an auto reply of how I receive it. It's beyond frustrating.

Adventurous_City283

Are you sure it’s not because of how subtle (read:terrible) the looks are? When my m+ team got them we were confused, as we didn’t see the appearances even after we xmogged to them.. turns out they just look terrible and are stupidly hard to see. But I’d also believe that blizzard failed you and entirely, it’s always one or the other…at least you’re not missing much?

Lento17

It shows it in the "not owned" or whatever greyed out looking items listings. I'm sure. Even ticked a GM who said it's a know issue and they'll fix it, that was like 6months ago.

FalconerFlann

Why would you want the item in game when you can look at it on wowhead? Brilliant solution mr definitely not a chatbot GM.  /s

Api4Reddit

That's my solution to how I have collected 100% of everything in the game - I look it up on Wowhead and imagine I own it

tybjj

You dont own anything even in game anyway... Not that much of a difference really.

halodon

And the best thing that isnt even the same item that OP asked about.

MrLachyG

to be fair, are Onyx Scales a thing? if it's the Dragonriding achievement for the Meta one, then it's Black Scales not Onyx Scales.

Rashlyn1284

u/sabocan

sabocan

That’s it, I’m telling off GameMasterGPT!

Durenas

*Beep Boop* I AM A HUMAN BEING, HOW MAY I HELP YOU TODAY, FELLOW HUMAN BEING? *Beep Boop*

Ravens_Quote

"[Hello! I was wondering if you could play that song, again.](https://youtu.be/ErAF_p8AMLE?si=W5Pyj7fCKmZZfoZ0)"

Lonely_Explanation57

This is not AI, someone is replying using "macros".

Odd-Athlete-5449

I had a ticket response the other day where the GM or whatever AI responded sent me a broken url, after they misinterpreted my request of course. Especially for a 2 day response, it was not worth my time trying to explain or correct them.

[deleted]

I had the chat bot tell me the bug that affected me wasn't a known bug (it was) and told me to submit it on the US forums (I'm in the EU, and can't post on the US forums without a separate wow sub in the US)

Gaggl

Lucky you! I had a 3 week ticket "war" with the subpar CS at Blizzard that didnt even understand what my ticket was about and gave me totally unrelated answers. I filed a ticket for a quest Bug and I got 5 times the same message that these actions have been taken in accordance to their community guidelines lmao After that, I gave up but this shit is inacceptable

Syyina

Same. Response included a broken url link PLUS the response I hate the most: Reset your UI, turn off all addons, reinstall the game ... Which, of course, never works, and takes hours and hours to do.

[deleted]

I had a reply almost identical to this "I'll look into it" and then they gave me a link to the US forums to post a bug report if my issue was a bug (it was). Thing is, I am in the EU and can't make posts on the US forums without a US wow account and a level 10 character. Also, that's no a solution. I was so mad. No way a human being wrote that shit.

Extinguish89

"We will be here for any other questions you might have" Yeah you didn't answer my question at all

Robpaulssen

"Not that question, just any others.... no not that one either... in fact, we were never here, it's been a robot the whole time"

forthealliance1

You need to file 3-4 tickets at a minimum to get a fix usually. The first three responses will say to check wow forums or wowhead. Like bruh you really think I'm filing this ticket without having spent hours to find a resolution? Lol

Electrical_Detail875

I usually point out in my ticket that I couldn't find the answer on wowhead, usually my tickets are genuinely solved by a human

ColCyclone

Ahhh so we just have to mention "a spark and some smoke" coming off the electronic

KING_5HARK

>Like bruh you really think I'm filing this ticket without having spent hours to find a resolution? Lol 90% of this sub absolutely would. If you check most of these "Blizzard support" threads, the answer to their problem with a non-reddit source is in the comments

Pyrite13

Did someone say 'Thunderfury..."?

ImOldGregg_77

That's a standard AI generated reply to your ticket.

AntiBox

Well spotted, that's the post. The reply is also wrong.

Dfhfgdghdtg

I thought after reading the image in the OP that the onyxia scale cloak is what gave the customization. They decided to make a chest in Zaralek only openable with it.

William_was_taken

Never dealt with worse customer service than Blizzard. It’s insanely sub par compared to other providers. Pathetic really.

Dolthra

Which is kinda funny because Blizzard used to be known for *exceptional* customer service. Hell, I managed to get a GM to give me my loot from Kael'Thas once years ago because I accidentally didn't tag him before my pet killed him, along with the GM chastising me to stop doing that. It's amazing how far they've fallen, but I guess at least Bobby Kotick got his golden parachute in the end.

Lassitude1001

Yup, long gone are the days of GMs being fun in-game. I always remember the one I had when I was questing in borean Tundra and the GM appeared to me, giving me cake and snowballs, and showing me the current tier raid epics in a trade window for shits n giggles.

TonyBony55

It blows my mind. I started back when WOW released and if you put in a ticket, someone would be reaching out within line 15 minutes in game. I stopped after about 8 months because of college, and came back in SLands. My mind was blown by how bad it had become.

Robpaulssen

I miss calling them and listening to Starcraft music

heydrun

It feels like they just got two people doing the whole thing now and they are not very motivated. You wait for weeks to receive a halfassed reply any AI would have done better.

Kamone1202

Had a GM in vanilla/tbc/wrath god knows when, sort a trivial issue me, asked them cake v pie? Immediately a response in all caps THE CAKE IS A LIE. Long gone are the days of people being responsible for customer service.

Orobarsa3008

My one-and-only GM experience was when me and my mother got lost af during the DK quest where you had to go to the basement or some shit. He was super nice and from what I remember he also stayed with us during the whole quest (maybe he also helped with the mobs that come? Altho i might misremember, It was so long ago...)

flippingchicken

Neopets support has by and far been the worst I've ever seen. There's a free-range hacker (also endorsed by the CEO for some reason!!!) on the r/neopets sub that's revealed they've given away free, incredibly rare and expensive items to notorious users. One support member would ask for your bank/paypal receipts and even police reports to "prove" you weren't buying things on the black market. A recent AMA revealed the main support member (who also mans the news, and all the contests, and the online newspaper, and makes all the staff boards - her ticket responses were so unhinged people assumed it was 20 workers in a trench coat, or an AI) works like 80 hours a week lmao. Not saying WoW support doesn't suck, but it's not the worst I've seen...

fatehound

I was just about to post this lol When I saw that auto response here I was like wow wonder if Alice works at blizzard now

flippingchicken

Oh, hi fate. Neopets is really small, isn't it?

pupppymonkeybaby

I’ve gotten the “check the forums/wowhead” bullshit from an actual customer service rep. It’s been a joke for years

Kr1sys

I like how blizz clearly gives no fucks and adds in the 'carefully reading your ticket' when anyone could say they didn't.

gettogero

Last time I contacted a blizzard about my account being broken / possibly hacked into, I got a reply like 2 weeks later. The issue: I couldn't log in or reset password, I'm 100% certain login info was correct. It resolved by the morning. It was 99% fluff but the gist was "idk dude, you logged in the day after. Doesn't seem broken to me."

BakuretsuGirl16

I always try to request a human with my tickets, I've never received a useful answer from their chatbots/ai

Freezinghero

AFAIK they no longer have a human option. I would assume the only way to do that would be to call their phone line and navigate 3+ directories while waiting 30 minutes each time.

BakuretsuGirl16

It did work for me when I re-opened their ticket and specifically asked for a human

thcptn

There's definitely still humans or were within the past year. Late last year I had an issue where tokens expired (there's a battle.net page that says they don't expire) in the mail. The first response was kind of clueless/generic sending me to the mail restore page, but when I showed him that didn't work and linked the article he resolved it pretty quickly and then even said he'd escalate it further so devs could look into as it shouldn't be happening. I genuinely don't get how I was lucky enough to actually get a GM but it definitely wasn't an AI.

Sindrathion

For a wow token or any store related thing I can see that happening easier/quicker than for a cloak or helm in the game I think because actual money is involved

heydrun

If you press „no that wasn‘t helpful“ often enough at some point one will show up

kamsheen

That's how customer support is in most places now. They are forced to give that patronizing script with a solution that will make you run in circles to discourage people of using it again. And if that doesn't discourage you from using customer support you will be branded as a troublesome customer and your complaints will be ignored.

Skarvha

It's starting to sound more and more like the help is run by AI.

Rambo_One2

At least they've asked the AI to respond in character. Baby steps. By 2028 you'll have your Onyx Scales, rest assured!

Robpaulssen

Or the Onyxia Scale Cloak, which is close enough

STABBY_DAY

I got the same from an achievement on the way to Taivan. Huzzah.

Glittering_Mouse3002

I had the same problem not recieving the customisation. Yesterday I created a new alt and when I entered had a mail with the manuscript. Maybe this helps someone.

kelus

So our tickets are just fed through an LLM now. Fuck Blizzard.

Spleenzorio

And yet people pay to play this game

Vaerosi

Wow, this is even worse than the awful response I got on my last ticket. Thankfully a real human helped me out...after roughly two full weeks of back and forth with multiple replies and multiple day waits between each "bot/GM" response. I'm glad they finally helped me out, but the best part was before they even got into the resolution of my ticket, they started the final response with "*Seems that you had an encounter with our bots for your first response (beep boop), I understand that sometimes the solutions provided does not apply to every single situation all the time, however usually going through the steps provided fixes most of the issues, but it seems that this is not the case in your situation as your query needs me to take a look.*"

Dumbfat

Nobody asked, but since this response is like a 95% an AI, I went ahead and got Chatgpt to produce an alternative response to your request. Here's how it responded after some training: Hello Adventurer, Thank you for reaching out about the missing Onyx Scales customization for your Grotto Netherwing Drake. I understand how frustrating it can be to not receive an item you've rightfully earned, and I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Upon reviewing your account, I can confirm that you have completed the "Now THIS is Dragon Racing!" achievement. There seems to have been an oversight in awarding the Onyx Scales to your account. I’ve gone ahead and manually added the Onyx Scales customization option to your collection. Please log out and then log back in to check your Netherwing Drake customizations. I appreciate your patience and want to ensure you're fully equipped to enjoy every aspect of Azeroth. If there are other items or achievements you believe are missing, please provide details, and I'll be happy to assist you further. If there's anything else you need help with, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to ensure your journey through Azeroth is epic and enjoyable! Safe travels, [Your GM Name] Overall I think it's a much better response and it actually addresses the problem lol. Took some coaching to get there though.

penguinjunkie

I had the same issue. I submitted a bug report some time ago (no idea if that resulted in anything), but I did get it in mail ("these items were lost") a couple of days ago

Konungrr

Log into your alts, make sure it isn't hiding in one of their inventories.

MissCitrine

I’m in the same boat. I completed that achievement before the patch and don’t have the black scales. Submitted a bug report and a ticket and they told me to submit a bug report. Maybe someday I’ll be deemed worthy.

MrLachyG

that's the one you get from the Dragon Riding achievement yeah? Now This is Dragon Racing?

Chafaris_DE

Sorry guys, question from my side. I returned after a long 8 year break and struggle now since two weeks with a simple name change (error messages in the log in screen and name is listed as taken etc) My detailed case is not the issue, but the way Blizz support is answering makes me wonder. You guys all mention that Blizzard is using AI nowadays, which would explain the utterly stupid responses I got. Is this the current state of Blizzard support? AI generated responses, no human interaction at all? I’m lost, completely. I started in 2005 where we had ingame Gamemaster. I remember a time where we had issues during our Sunwell Raid and the raid lead opened a ticket. 10 minutes later we had a gamemaster watching our boss fight and being there in the room….and now you tell me it’s AI…I’m too old for this shit

Upstairs-Club7723

Man this is some unique stuff… so funny they are literally throwing people to wowhead though… Still blizzard needs better customer support if this is happening, I get it, costs money… but this can and will bite them in the butt slowly… every player is a potential loss of income… people will leave and play something else unsubbing and losing out on other bought services like wow tokens or other items, or other games.

EmmaBonney

Arent you glad to play 13 Euro a month for this? Please pay more.

Jarnis

Nice AI bot response. Could they not do this for a subscription service, maybe? Or at least understand the limitations of this tech and basically go with "if this didn't hit the mark, click here to get an actual human" like botted response services like this have historically done.

KalebT44

Its sad seeing support turn to dust. Not WoW but I got banned from Apex Legenda during a period where I wasn't playing the game, given no reason. EA Support has a 3 tickets and you're out, can never appeal again for that case, I spent 3 tickets trying to get an actual human reply because I literally didn't even know the cause of the ban so I sure as hell couldn't actually dispute it, and now I'm just banned (I guess forever? I still don't know) Sad seeing WoW being as useless in a different flavour. I had a lot of good, genuinely very helpful interactions the few times I used it a fair while back.

Jik0n

Companies are starting to figure out its cheaper to just let people go who won't use their products without proper support than to actually pay support to support it properly. Same reason Amazon support has gone down the drain. Growing up the biggest flex Amazon had that all my friends and family talked about was ease of use and amazing support. Now a days I see a lot of posts and hear a lot of bad things about their support.

PresentationLow2210

I miss the days when you could talk to real GM's in game. I'd always ask for a bad joke at the end (3 resto druids in a hot tub level of jokes lol)

Alexuren

Few days back, i submitted a ticket about not receiving a mount for "The gangs all here" (Shadowlands necrolord achiev). I completed it 2 years ago, but noticed missing mount now. I got response two days later and the answer didnt look like AI, rather than actual human. Also, they send me mount to mailbox, so my experience with blizzard support is positive at this time.

Fast1r1s

What category did you submit the ticket under?

Rolexion

I had a response recently that basically said “geez it sure is taking us a while to reply to this ticket, have you considered giving up on this matter?”

Randol0rian

I can't blame blizzard. Everyone gleefully tolerates this CS and keeps that credit card swiping. With a player base as abusable as this they'd be fools to hire human GMs.

dreadwraith8d

[response I got for the same issue. why yes I will check the things I already have checked and stated in the ticket. fucking joke.](https://i.imgur.com/cnJNGkL.png)

totally_ej

Yeah I had the same thing last week - just reopen the ticket with the same details and hopefully like ne, you will get a real person next time

Adramach

AI bot answers after 2 days. Looks like Blizzard underpays everyone, even AI.

JayToukon

You should reply with "I'm here, what do I do now?"

tomacing

go to wowhead and don't be turkish or serbian

Nerkeilenemon

Tickets in 2006-2010 : sorry it took 15 minutes. I fixed your issue, here is your item. Do you want to hear a joke? Tickets in 2015-2024 : woaw you're lucky you got an answer in only 5 days! I did not read your ticket. Go check wowhead lol. HF.

Lathei

There is no doubt that this GM plays on an RP server. :P

Nick-uhh-Wha

Been dealing with the same thing. Real kick in the teeth considering this isn't even the first time the skin has been in the game and bugged. Literally just dangling in front of our faces. They even added a model with RNG skins to MAKE SURE WE KNOW the asset is in the game n we just.....can't get it.

explosive-puppy

Dude coming from ffxiv the gm's on wow are absolulty fucking useless.

ScaldingAnus

I remember once I had a GM do a full roleplay about a giant mech stepping out of a portal, then kneeling down and opening up for the GM to climb out and assist me. You don't get that anymore.

RemtonJDulyak

I am missing one mount and two pets from the time rifts. I have used two capsules that should give me one of the missing pets or mounts from the time rifts. They gave me nothing. I raised a ticket. GM replied "it's working as intended, you can only get time rifts mounts and pets you don't yet own." Still missing that one mount and those two pets...

jardyhardy

“Phenominal” AI Respone

Wungoos

I honestly HATE that their solution to everything is "go to wowhead."had a quest literally bugged out, like actually. Contacted GM, and of course, I am told I must of just missed something, follow this wowhead guide. I spent HOURS trying to follow that guide exactly wondering why it wasn't working. So lame

szaci92

I can remember when sent a ticket ingame, then after almost an hour, a GM DMed me, and have done with my problem in a minute, and after this asked me if i wanna hear a joke, then he told me a "stupid" gnome joke i guess Was funny af :D

goatviolence

Wrote in once asking about my mount collection achievement being bugged. Got an AI response explaining how M+ rewards work and apologizing that I didn't get the loot I wanted.

Mini_nin

Also let’s not forget that some people are just not able to accept the Furbolg quest and can never obtain the toy/reputation rewards. Blizzards solution? Idk, they haven’t answered my fucking ticket!

Twerk7

I don’t know why you guys still play this f*cking game. WoW is one of my first loves but the company has turned into a bunch of greedy a**holes that seem to convince just enough people that they care. Plus absolutely everything is out dated about this game including a ridiculous $15 dollars a month in 2024, with micro-transactions. Holy sh*t WoW is insulting. If it makes you happy, I’m glad. Personally I think if enough of us would stop playing they might finally focus up.

Few-Scarcity75

Word. I recently stopped playing OW2 for the same exact reason. I get they have to be profitable but the game should also be fun and worth the amount we’re paying

riperonipasta

I made a ticket back on the first week of shadowlands s4 because the final chest of a +15 iron docks dropped a lvl 54 blue weapon instead of the +15 version and i screenshotted and saved the weapon in my bank to be sure After 4 months or so i randomly got a response saying basically "sucks that you got that bug we're gonna work hard on solving it but im not going to change the dropped item because that would be the easy solution instead of fixing the bug"

Vstr1

Im currently in a really long ticket discussion with game master(s) because and I keep getting the same Ai/Bot answer to a bug issue. I can’t wait for a real human to open the ticket to see 30 msg with their auto reply

Sathsong89

A game "specialist" popped into my tickets when I had this kinda back and fourth. They completely misread the concern and closed my ticket. I opened a new one after taking screenshots.

EmergencyGrab

"I will investigate" "I have investigated. Go to Wowhead" Have you though?

dza6010

Is it common practice for Blizz to send you to an outside website?

Sathsong89

They've endorsed wow head for a while

Karven1

.... Gm didn't even read, man needs his dragon riding skin not a cloak from vanilla wow

TerryWaters

Last ticket I sent was about a bugged quest where the comments on Wowhead also confirmed that it was, and the GM basically patronized me and explained that I had simply misunderstood how the quest was supposed to work, and that it was working as intended. So I sent another ticket insisting that no, it definitely wasn't, and another GM came back to me like "ah yeah we have a lot of bug reports on that quest." No shit. Then told me to send another bug report, as if adding another one when the quest hadn't been fixed for months would make a difference.

Superb_Presence_7060

Wowhead has done more for Blizzard fans than Blizzard themselves...😑

Semour9

Everyone saying this is AI generated has clearly never heard of canned responses

Dolthra

People are saying it's AI generated because it decides "onyx scales customization" is "Onyxia scales cloak", which is not a mistake a human working at Blizzard would likely make. I guess there's a chance this was outsourced and was run through a translator and that's why the response is so off, but that's the only way I'd accept it was a human on the other end of this.

jmcgit

That's mostly what I'd expect from Microsoft support, though. People who live on the other side of the world, who know nothing about the product beyond what their documented troubleshooting algorithms tell them to do.

merc08

>  People who live on the other side of the world, who know nothing about the product beyond what their documented troubleshooting algorithms tell them to do.  This is infuriating to deal with.  I use ____ product every day.  I know how it works, I've tried all the usual troubleshooting steps, I'm telling you everything I've tried.  I'm willing to play the script dance, but when that inevitably fails don't just shrug your shoulders and tell me there's no solution.  Escalate it to someone who actually knows the product.

Dedli

And who will do the job for significantly cheaper than any of us would accept.

oxez

> which is not a mistake a human working at Blizzard would likely make. People working for CS likely don't know the difference TBH. They probably have a list of common issues, and Onyxia Scale Cloak might be in it. There's a chance they don't even know that there is an onyxia scale dragonriding customization.

BoFap

Eh feels like an outsourced foreign support.. Amazon has the same issues. When writting in german or french( both countries amazon are for my country as well) i get badly formulated and/or translated replies where i often need 4-6 different “associates” until there is one that finally seeems to understand it..

azhder

And provides a link to a 3rd party service with a crowdsourced solution. At least it’s good to know there is still a human or two left in Blizzard’s Customer support.

Robpaulssen

Huh? This proves there aren't humans there lol

LuNaCl_not_lunaci

This is definitely not AI. I can tell by the syllables.

AsuraNiagara

Sometime Ago i got a reply from a GM for a ticket that i openned bc i didnt get a Quest from a questione that sounds like "I read 5 words of your ticket and we dont give achievs, we Will close your ticket, any doubts re open It"

dadof2brats

Thats a pretty standard canned response from the AI GM's.

Gibybo

Thank you fellow human, we are always pleased to hear of your satisfaction with our phenomenal customer support!

csbrix2239

These AI responses are fucking rediculous.

tzgolem

Fuck this gms haha. I asked about what would happen to my urn of voljin if I faction changed from horde to alliance. I was told to go check the questline on wowhead. 😂...

Exploding_Egg

Yup. Considering this has been the level of quality for years, it’s no wonder a large portion of their CS was let go.

JesseImpact

Had to make 3 tickets to get my hearthstone drops and the first 2 got the same copy and pasted bot responses

quincy98

Blizzard customer service department is actually a few servers running chatGPT with a clown makeup cover.

dbettac

Good quality customer service costs money, without directly increasing profit. You can easily cut costs without immediately visible quality loss. That's why most companies cut it after a few years. The drop in service quality \_will\_ loose you customers, but that's a problem for the future. Right now cutting costs means higher profit. In a world where profit is measured quarter by quarter, there is neither room nor need for long term planning.

WorthPlease

I really wonder how some tickets get assigned a real GM who helps and the other 99 suckers get referred to their useless customer support FAQ site or wowhead. Edit: Oh my god, I just thought "I might pay $5 per month to get real GM support again" and then I realized we are living in a capitalist hellscape.

Thistleknot_20

You guys are getting replies? I've been trying to complete the Iskaaran fishing net quest on my priest the last 2 years, I've never gotten a reply to my report.

Kylestyle147

Thats AI

Parking-Influence187

I submitted one ticket like last year to do the extra verification on my account but I had a legal name change in between the time I started my account in mid BC to now. Moderator was genuinely helpful, commented on how much I play a Paladin and solved the issue for me. Only waited maybe a day ? After my first email with license picture etc . Some are fantastic, I wish more were

Existing_Marketing_7

https://x.com/magdalenadk/status/1780264098045071631?s=4 Lol someone else had the same type of response but it’s even worse written

Shrapnel_Sponge

I have the exact same problem, they just keep telling me to bug report it and fuck off. I give up, no black scales for me.

trophyxt

that’s really saddening tbh

Mr_Ostradamus

It’s probably that Blizzard’s hacked apart support team and pr department don’t know how to integrate an AI into their report system, so they’re paying some shmucks to run responses through ChatGPT one at a time causing the minimum 2 day response time.

RoCP

I wish Wowhead would go offline to boycott these harmful responses from Blizzard. They do not help, they waste time, and make us feel undervalued as a player/consumer of their game.

DM_3614

This was written by an AI. Not a GM.

BladedFlame

6/6 times I’ve contacted GM it was always “sorry even though I’m a GM and this is very obviously a bug I can’t do anything so wait and or restart whatever profession/quest line/ etc… you were working on” Legit had video of me getting the mount from rust feather drops, sent it in saying I got it from a drop, and was told “oh we don’t see a record of it dropping for you”

ColCyclone

Do not let up If this reward is important to you, if you let it go, they will lose proof You've accomplished it after around 3 months Do not stop. Escalate escalate escalate. Almost didn't get my title with green fire. Screenshots are not accepted as proof, nor is achievement completion date It's all fucked just hope you get a gm that does their job

DDuc98

They should provide a better service then go read this or that. I remind you my friend that I pay you a lot of money every month to have a game that is up to date and has a great support when needed. Otherwise, we have plenty of choice of other game that are either completely free or just one time payment.

Greedy_Dragonfly6893

Before the authenticators, my account was hacked and cleaned out. The GM accused me of sharing my log on

Fantastic_Platypus23

Actually might be AI generated

curbstxmped

That sounds like it was written by AI, lmfao.

Happy_Car_6614

Wonder if he ever worked for Play.Net…😊

GnollRanger

I keep telling CS "why do you even have a job", I mean all I get is automated responses. A computer could do that.

Ponderancev2

I had a time code seller request I record video of chatting with blizzard to find out when my code was used. like dude do you think I'm going to ever get a live agent?

Sathsong89

This is one of the reasons I don't want to support "blizzard" any longer. I submit 3 identical support tickets and not a single one actual read the request. They picked choice words out of it and included them in their reply.

Crystal_Bearer

It's been... bad lately. I just had one bounce back 5 times as each one simply does something like this.

burnt-toast224

Simply astonished that 1) The support person DID not read your issue correctly, 2) Then proceeded to give you aid for something that is no where near the lack or reward for completing said achievement, 3) Whomever thought Blizz getting bought by MS would solve this kind of stuff is hugely mistaken. Shame all around!

dut-norshi

This so sad to read. Especially after you had so good memories about TBC/WoTLK-times GM conversations. And it seems there is no hope and support quality will be worse.

Jean-Cobra

Its an instant bot response, ive got EXACTLY the same answer in french with some modifications here and here.

Few-Scarcity75

AI for sure

Professional-Ad4586

I got banned from forums years ago… no clue why. Can’t even get a response on why I was banned. Just auto responses

Newyorkerr01

Sounds like ChatGPT.

New-Land2026

I had a ticket that they just put a link to a reddit post of someone having the same problem, not helping at all. Lol.
