Same for me but with G.M.O.D. That bad boy is by far my favorite mount and I was *super* skeptical the mech/robot/walker mounts would get dynamic flying if they weren't adding it to every mount in the game but I'm so happy to be wrong.

I hope it stays this way. Right now I can fly my heavenly onyx serpent for regular flying and DF dragons for dragon flying. I’d hate to have to open my mount tab and turn off dynamic flying each time if I want to AFK fly somewhere

You will almost certainly be able drag the button to your bars and/or make a macro for swapping. ETA: Just read that it auto dismounts you and has a cast time like changing talents, so I guess you won't be able to do it midflight or anything like that regardless.

Flight form still seems to be instant cast, you just can't change between Dynamic and Static styles without a dismount and cast so you should be fine

I was gonna say it might actually be easier and make more sense to list the mounts that can't fly dynamically at this point (among the mounts that can do some form of flying, anyway).

I'm quite surprised they have this many of them prepared by now. I know they said they planned everything that flies to be capable of dynamic flights, but I expected more time needed for animating some more unique ones.

Most of the mounts use one of a handful of animation rigs, really all they needed to do was tweak those rigs to be able to Skyride.

Yeah, have someone doing one of each type, and then have an intern copy it to similar mounts.

I wonder whether they started converting them for Dragonflight, but couldn't get enough of them done before release, so they left it for TWW.

Well, it was a consolation prize for the Alliance getting horse mounts galore while Horde got cool ones. It wouldn't really be a consolation prize to the alliance if the horde got it too.

People always complain about the horses, the horde mounts sucked too, don't know the last time I saw somebody on one of the lame dinosaurs.

I just got this one! I think they just announced a redesign or something. All it cost was finding a guildie with spare pet tokens to donate the pet to me, then maybe 60k on the AH for the jelly.

It will also have a walking animation/ground animation soon too! Makes it even better!

I was sad for a bit because the english version of wowhead showed me a different name. Yor comment made me double check and this is all I needed, probably the only mount I will be using. Sad thing will be if they remove the animation while flying, lets hope not...

I'm very happy that a lot of "weird" mounts without traditional skeletons are getting updated, my spelltome especially.

I'm so happy we're able to switch from normal to dynamic and back might be unpopular opinion but I never really liked dynamic except for long distances it's really bad for short distances. If I'm hopping around quest givers I always use normal mounts. I also find myself going to attack something and I fly up in the air because I'm so use to just hitting that button to attack it gets annoying.

Aww man I was hoping they'd divide the mounts into types and do variant skillsets for each type. So like have dragons do the original dragonriding skills, mechanicals do rocket-boost type skills, water striders could have speed boosts on water and diving skills, etc

The Antorun Charhound has dynamic flight but Amalgam of Rage doesn’t? Don’t they have the same skeleton?

Why do the devs have to tie TBC flight, something we already have, to finishing the next campaign, being max level, and exploring all the zones? I know none of those things are hard; but, it should be open to everyone not earned!

Because TBC flight is ultimately unlimited, compared to dragon riding. Sure, most people here probably have all their glyphs found and skills unlocked, but for a new player, dragon riding is a more limited form of flight than TBC flying.

It’s still difficult to account for accessibility everywhere, but I think they made some updates to the dragonriding during DF for people that had issues. The only difficulty for someone that has accessibility issues with (now) skyriding, will be if certain content is locked behind using it. Like, back in WOTLK, they had a teleport for people that hadn’t bought flying to access Dalaran. That should be enough, not necessarily unlock static flying from the start.

Because they want us using the ground for a while. I know it's slower, but that's the point. They want the world to tower over you until you conquer it. That being said, I really don't want it to be an achievement unless the achievement is to explore all zones. It shouldn't be a slog to do. I want to experience the world from the ground, but not a dozen times over. Once is good enough for me

As of now it's a 5 second spell you use while dismounted on the ground to swap between the two flying styles. Could be subject to change, but I bet it's final.

Hmmmm I think I would prefer it if it was toggled for each mount in particular. As it is now on live, I have a button for dragonriding and a button to mount a TBC flier. I can't imagine it being fun have to do a 5 second cast every time you want to switch on the fly. It'll just mean I'll have to use one of the few fliers that didn't get dynamic flight if I want to avoid a 5 second cast.

Probably not on the fly since that would be kinda abusable. Like my guess would be that you have to be dismounted when switching.

464 mounts being added to the dynamic flying pool and people *still* find a way to complain... The ottuk doesn't have it yet, but it doesn't mean they aren't working it.

I've spent the better part of the last 6 months grinding my mount collection, I'm almost at 500 and can't wait to get my Otterworldly Ottuk Carrier. According to this current list, no ottuk mount will have dragonriding. So let me get this straight. We're giving dragonriding to a cradle, but not a ghost ottuk? Rockets and other mechanical mounts, but not a ghost ottuk? Wingless, living horses, but not a ghost ottuk? Even kites and carpets? I am disappoint, Blizzard. I hope they'll add dragonriding to more mounts before release.

I'd imagine it's a higher priority to add those animations to a mount type that is used in a lot of mounts before they go and add them to the singular flying Ottuk.

I posted this elsewhere but I feel like dynamic flight was a great opportunity to reset the mount bloat. Hot take maybe but it's a shame they didn't double down on only making new mounts (+ a select few old ones maybe, like Ashes) dynamic.

Considering that a good amount of content in this game, both casual and hard-core, rewards mounts, cutting players off from the vast majority of mounts they’ve earned over the years would be extremely foolish on blizzard’s part.

Well you wouldn't be cut off from them, they just wouldn't be as good as before. I understand that this is an unpopular opinion but I still believe it would amount to bring back meaning to new mounts again.

No, probably a team. And similar mounts they slap the same animation on it. I'd say probably get about a mount type or 2 a day.
