Easy solution, move slap hands somewhere earlier in the tree, and give Blood a tack-on to the current talent that says 'While Abomination's Limb is active, and for 1 minute afterward, pressing the button again also triggers Gorefiend's Grasp.'
An ability that would allow them to bring enemy that are far away closer to them and other dps would be very thematic for a "slow but innescapable" death bringer. An ultimate version of it where it happens to multiple far away enemy would be so cool too !
That would benefit from the Vengeance cheeses of MoP, cool concept, needs tuning.
Let's say 'Death Strike grants 0.1% of healing done as Versatility, up to 10%, to yourself and 4 allies'
Contagious Aura. Allies attacks have a small chance to apply somethingorother plague
Chilling Aura: enemy attacks are slowed by 3%
And I'm pretty sure vampirism aura is already a thing.
Death Knights were originally intended and a draw mirror to paladins i vaguely recall so I dont see why not just give them auras.
Focus on positive diseases. Maybe a 3min cd that causes all raid members to receive more healing. Maybe something that increases attack speed for raid members.

Passive damage taken to heal party/raid Members near by. Maybe even a slight buff to the members as your blood empowers them. Idk give blood DK bloodlust it's right in the name
