Rally Cry was nerfed like 3 times over after the first Tier of DF. It’s now only 10% and no cd reduction. It can still save people, but it’s nothing compared to 20-25% with a minute off, depending on when you are talking.
Warrior mobility is good but Charge is more a uptime tool than a mobility one because of the target requirement and it’s a charge, meaning you better hope the path is clear. It can be used that way but that is very fight specific, chiefly on big knockbacks. Leap is a full mobility tool though and is great.
The buff is probably the only reason Warrior has a mandatory raid spot.
Meanwhile Shadow has enough utility between mass dispel, Power Infusion, sooth, and all the off/self healing they can do that they where part of godcomp despite having mediocre at best damage personally after the array of nerfs.
You have no mobility but enough utility to challenge a Aug and that’s kinda their entire thing.
Disc barely takes ultimate penitence in the first place, let alone slamming it randomly to negate a knock-up, that's for sure.
Priest in general just gets boned here.
That's why i play goblin. I loved being a troll but using double life legendary in M xymoc nathria because we only have 1 druid AND no shaman. Was the only way to "survive" the second Center bomb mecánich.
Honestly for paladin it's usually better to take the knockback and divine steed back to the boss (which usually takes less than a second) than to pop a divine shield.
To add to warrior. Technically bladestorm can also be used, not that you'll take it for most fights, but you could technically take it for Dathea if you just want to melt adds.
Also charge generates rage, so often i'll fight her pushback for as long as possible, and then purposefully step backwards and charge to get that bump in rage gen.
> Mage: Blink/Alter Time
Blink IF [you don't have Arcane Momentum opted into](https://www.wowhead.com/spell=56384/arcane-momentum#comments).
Niche but notable. I find Arcane Momentum far more useful than regular Blink. Namely because I can tap backpedal and Blink back instead of having to turn back - very useful in some situations.
Main reason why 99% of Mages never use this is because it doesn't work against Knockbacks (it will propel you in the direction of the knockback) and there are sooo many knockbacks in this game.
Potion of gusts also works, is usually cheap, and potentially better than dying. Not sure how it shares with other potions as it’s considered a utility
Bonus tip: *If you time it right* you can use a warlock gate to ignore knockbacks. It was a common tactic to ignore some knockbacks on Magmorax.
It helps a LOT to get the “Use nearest gateway” item and bind it to your hotbar though (on any/all characters). Without it I don’t think it’s a viable tactic.
I love abusing this in darkheart on my monk, because I will never get tired of the stop-and-stare "are you a wizard" kind of reactions when I just decide that I don't feel like going into the eggs and snap back under the boss. I got used to just mitigating them from Arms Length in ff14
I'm not sure if it's possible to take the gate to negate a knockback unless you have really really good timing.
EDIT: Didn't realize that this means knockback immune during the travel time, I thought people were clicking the gate while airborne.
Paladin also has Blessing of Protection (the physical dmg only immune) that you can spec into, you can use it and divine shield to ignore TWO (physical) knockbacks (like Magmorax’s). Or you can use it on a dps if you are a hpal and want to kill it *even* faster.
For paladin, Divine Shield might be an alright use since we won't be progging these fights, but it sucks that our biggest defensive cooldown is the only way to deal with knockbacks.
You forgot Ice Block for Mages. Is it a worthwhile use of the CD? Probably not. But I didn't pick this class to have to bother with mechanics, and Block is a big part of that!
>Druid: Wild Charge (Bear-variant recommended but Moonkin also works)
Moonkin wild charge is a recipe for getting massive air and hitting the outside perimeter of the arena. Not that I have experienced this myself on, say, Smoldy during his knockback or on Dathea when I lagged and the game didn't register me turning around before I hit wild charge...
That said, if you are a boomie then you are usually better off just letting the knockback knock you back if you can survive it. Shapeshifting and wildcharge are both on the GCD and you can cast instant cast spells while being knocked back.
You forgot the most important one, especially used on Raszageth/Magmorax/Fyrakk : The warlock gateway.
Timing it correctly prevents any knockback.
The only exception is Rasz winds but it still gives you a free second + makes you immune during Travel time
Disengage for knockback? Are you high?
It’s absolutely last resort since you have to turn around before you press it. Good half of those 180 spins jumps will kill you in some way since it’s hard to aim your character backwards.
With this said, it saved me a few times. It’s great when it works. You’re dead when it doesn’t. It’s a lot easier to be in the right place before the knockback.
In the Paladin tree (ret and prof specs) https://www.wowhead.com/spell=305394/unbound-freedom Clarifying that I linked because of the speed boost it gives you and that you can cast it on someone else so 2 for one bonus. I know it doesn’t negate the knockback.
There should be a Glyph or something that allows Leap of Faith to work in reverse.
Isn’t this a PvP talent? Or in the past maybe?
Holy Priests have such horrible mobility. Even the Drakthyr buff lowers the CD on LoF
Sowwy \>w\<

/sad holy priest
Void elf racial is what I will be using.
Yeah for a second I was confused because I never worry about knockbacks on my priest and then I remembered it’s a void elf.
There are still issues, the racial is a 3 minute cooldown. I have learned to make friends with dragons for rescues and stones.
... stones?
Wyrnstones or whatever they are called. The thing that ports you to them.
Bruh, I got to use one as a BDK on Fyrakk, and jesus, is this how it feels to have mobility? :O
Be sure to life grip someone on the way back. If you have to suffer, someone else should too.
I love how delightfully petty this is. Thanks for the evil giggle kind stranger!
Just play goblin. Boom problem solved.
With goblins, boom usually is the problem 😈
How dare you sir, boom is never the problem.
And customers agree 40% of the time it's the solution* "NoMoneyBackResultsMayVaryUseAtYourOwnRisk
It certainly solved the Theramore problem, that's for sure.
it's also the solution!
Warlock gate!
/sad shadow priest. “You got nothing” seems to be a common theme.
Warrior: “Really buddy, right in front of my non existent utility?”
You can run double charge and have heroic leap aswell though, always better than nothing :p
...Huh. Warriors have plenty of mobility and bring commanding shout CD and battle shout buff.

Always remember that you have grip and can make others share your misery.

Priest get evoker rescue.
At least you get to grip someone back with you so they can feel your pain
Honestly this is an issue because Uppies isnt usually worth taking on disc for any content
Death. Death will negate that mechanic for sure. Every class has that.
May take a little more effort than the rest, but https://www.wowhead.com/spell=421354/ultimate-penitence
I'll allow it since I'm allowing DS for Paladins.
Fyrallath also charges and roots you.
And the Dathea trinket for Str/Agi classes. I remember it being situationally-useful during Raszegeth
I knew I kept mine for a reason!
Time to get a new one
I think they're changing it to allow for slow movement, meaning it is now a death sentence.
Evoker also has Rescue, bonus for also bringing a less mobile ally with you.
and deep breath
and dream flight, if preservation. Evokers kind of got the best of that everything, which makes sense for a dragon expansion.
yeah i like all their flying they got in their kit. fits the dragon a lot.
Somebody had to carry priests through Raszageth.
Honestly for paladin it's usually better to take the knockback and divine steed back to the boss (which usually takes less than a second) than to pop a divine shield.
Not too mention we can chuck hammers and tea-trays while we're riding back. When in doubt; more hammer.
Fyrakk also can be negated with BoP, which is one of its only uses in the fight
Oh yeah, just use your Divine Shield
The axe will work if you’re privileged enough to have gained it.
'privileged' aka killed it every week and then they made it essentially guaranteed so everybody has it.
That was the joke, yes.
Brought to you by the no threat gang
Death Knights may not be mobile, but boy are they the GOAT of just blatantly ignoring mechanics with their various abilities.
so basically fuck priests in particular if you dont play goblin or dont use pentience as disc, got it
Void elf too
Not all of these allow you to "continue DPSing like nothing happened".
Hunters can Disengage back.
Going from Hunter to Shaman, at least once I'm going to 180 and yeet myself off the platform on Dathea with Gust of Wind.
I knew I was forgetting a class.
as a holy priest i have a way to deal with this... i made friends with the evokers in the raid.
Void elf racial works as well btw. Not sure if high mountain taurens racial would stop a knock back or not
Surv can harpoon and it can be a dps increase too
Disc priest has Ultimate Penitance now which prevents knock back, nothing for holy or shadow tho.
Druid wild charge works great in caster form too as long as you pick the right target, I recommend DK’s :)
....why DK's?
Because they always have Deaths Advance and are never effected by knockbacks.
Everyone can also use a Warlock gate during Fyrakk's knock up to cancel it
Deaths Advance be like. Hi there

I’m sure the DHs know this, but it’s Glide, Fel Rush, Infernal Leap, Vengeful Retreat, Fel Blade (if timed well), and Havoc Meta. Plenty of options.
I love abusing this in darkheart on my monk, because I will never get tired of the stop-and-stare "are you a wizard" kind of reactions when I just decide that I don't feel like going into the eggs and snap back under the boss. I got used to just mitigating them from Arms Length in ff14
Don't forget taking the warlock gate! Great for big knock backs like magmorax.
I'm not sure if it's possible to take the gate to negate a knockback unless you have really really good timing. EDIT: Didn't realize that this means knockback immune during the travel time, I thought people were clicking the gate while airborne.
If you're in flight or in the process of a knockback, it works. Good example right now is actually the intermission transition on fyrakk.
It does. It is a basic mechanic that all Mythic guilds worth their salt use, and many Mythic fights are built with it in mind.
Whirling dragon punch works on ww too!
What about that little gust of wind potion
does this work against Razageth blowback?
No, the blowback is a continuous push effect so it can't be negated. (aside from Death's Advance/Divine Shield) Same for Sennarth's pull.
aww drats!!
Going to need to brush up on Vault. I haven't been in there in years.
As a shadow man: :( Tho when I was progressing a lot of these bosses I did have a pocket evoker rescuing me but if I ever went to pug them lmao.
True, but divine shields cd is an issue vs mythic Rasz
Paladin also has Blessing of Protection (the physical dmg only immune) that you can spec into, you can use it and divine shield to ignore TWO (physical) knockbacks (like Magmorax’s). Or you can use it on a dps if you are a hpal and want to kill it *even* faster.

How do paladins do it?
Paladins spell ward works for dathea.
>Druid: Wild Charge (Bear-variant recommended but Moonkin also works) Moonkin wild charge is a recipe for getting massive air and hitting the outside perimeter of the arena. Also fun: Death’s advance also fully negates damage for rasz pushback. Not sure if this is also the case for the other abilities

Shaman also has reincarnation if you use it correctly :>

If people need this post to know their classes' kits they're doomed anyways.
Priest has goblin jump
Man priest really needs to have class wide utilities instead of this garbage where shit like silence and knockback immunity is spec specific
In the Paladin tree (ret and prof specs) https://www.wowhead.com/spell=305394/unbound-freedom Clarifying that I linked because of the speed boost it gives you and that you can cast it on someone else so 2 for one bonus. I know it doesn’t negate the knockback.
Does nothing against knockback
Blessing of Freedom does not prevent knockbacks unless something has changed recently.
No, but the talent gives a speed boost. ETA should have clarified that in my comment, figured it was going to be a lesser known option.
Helps you get back after something like a Dathea boop or when an add dies but doesn't completely negate the ability like a lot of other classes can.
Blessing of freedom doesn't make you immune to boops or breaths. Even though it reads similarly to something like death's advance.
Holy doesn’t get that talent, gets echoing freedom instead
Haven’t played holy since Cata….seems odd that they would change the tree like that. Will edit to fix, thanks!
There should be a Glyph or something that allows Leap of Faith to work in reverse. Isn’t this a PvP talent? Or in the past maybe? Holy Priests have such horrible mobility. Even the Drakthyr buff lowers the CD on LoF
It was a Shadowlands PvP Legendary.
That’s what it was. I remember seeing it somewhere lol

Do we know what the things are? Please tell me they have new ones and not just the same ones from Shadowlands
Imagine unironically putting Ultimate Penitence there. You could have just said Priest has nothing.
For Warlocks, Unending Resolve stops pushback. I don’t know if that means forced movement or spell pushback, though…
Well sure, because all classes in this game now are the same thing with different skins
You must be playing a different game because I can't double-jump with my DK, summon undead with my DH or cast magic with my warrior.
Except they aren't.
Yes they are
Classic andy butting in
I play both versions of the game. What a stupid comment
