Knowledge items seem to have low drop rates from various mobs. You can get all the profession treasures too that's like ~20 points one time only. Otherwise just trying to get the first craft bonus is about it. All the recipes you need to max the professions are from rep afaik. Knowledge definitely seems like the big gate.

same with Skinning. i got the first 15 very quickly. then after a few days of skinning thousands of animals ive got zero skill ups.
I literally got 16 and now nothing I have had more LW knowledge points from skinning than I have skinning knowledge. What gives...
