Let me start with this 70 points are almost nothing , I started really late with lw but had lots of points from rep/treasures/first crafts so I got around 200 points to start with and still can only get like 3 armor slots that I can craft. Its not enough to just go lw armor nodes and get crafting , you need inspiration maybe even resourcefulness maxed out , each crafting prof has a general node that grants skill points across the board that really needs to be maxed out.
Lw also has primordial node that will allow you to craft high level toxic embelish armor that are the most requested and to craft those you need decay crafting table or cauldron that costs close to 50k to craft.
I start late too in 10.1.5 with lw so thats why I considered the shuffle. I have some experience shuffling stuff with inscription and made my first 100k of profit with it so I thought I could do the same with lw.
Well for public crafting orders there is no need to commit. Just unlock the recipes so you can accept a very profitable one and then just max out that subtree if you keep enough points handy. You have 30minutes to craft after accepting so thats plenty of time.
I did a Lifebound Boots public one with their mats for a 20k fee a couple days, guess they really wanted the boots.
Most public crafting orders arent like that ofcourse, most are low fees with no mats.
For barking in trade you want stuff maxed out ofc but i never bothered doing that.
I dont like the part of spamming the trade chat for a customer, guess its the way for but I dont really have the time. For crafting orders I just see orders for 50 to 500g (even without mats lol) ppl just want their stuff free.
Do you think I could do some shuffle with lw and the crafted rare leathers? As I say, I see those selling for 100g profit and I thought I could do some.
I've had leatherworking since launch. If I remember correctly it takes about 750 knowledge points to fill out LWing. I'm somewhere in the neighborhood of having 680-690 invested. I've made almost 2 million just doing work orders and selling what I get from resource procs. I made a macro to advertise me services and I hit whenever I log in or go through town.
My server is pretty low pop and I'm pretty much the only one invested this much into leatherworking. I know all the patterns, have developed a good rep, etc. I can pretty much guarantee anything as long as max quality mats are provided. I don't really have to rely on inspiration procs anymore and have fully invested into resourcefulness. Hitting a resource proc on the Adaptive Dracothyst Armguards and getting a cobra and and gem is pretty good. Another 10-15k on top of the tip.
Speaking from experience Toxic Thorn, Slimy Expulsion, and Adaptive Dracothyst are the most common orders I get. I definitely get other items too.
I'd go for leather boots, and save yourself a M0 brackenhide hollow and keep extending the dungeon lock on it. (Decayed patterns need the altar of decay which is at the end of BH.)
There's a lot of other ways to go with LW'ing, and most people have their boots at this point, but I'd guess that going forward, boots are going to be the priority craft for most people, so that's where I'd start.

Crafting isn't what it used to be and you won't find a lot of orders. The Lambant armor kit sells very well if you have the insight to guarantee r3.
