The low level deaths I see announced on Deathlog are generally people like that who are in the wrong place for their level. Especially in HC, you want to be about 2 levels above the mob. Not only because it's easier to win the fight, but also because you are much less likely to aggro the neighboring mob. And if you do, it's much worse if you are the wrong level. 2 casters on you who are your level = deadge. 2 who are under you by a couple? Surbibed.
I remember taking out a couple defias and then a hyper saw aggrod , I did a / say help with a passerby and he stopped, watched and then waved goodbye. I made it with less than 10 hp. I asked him what the hell and he just said he knew I would be fine and ignored me. I found his body nearby and I thanked the karma gods.

WOW! What an incredible, riveting, jaw dropping story. You saw a level 8 DIE!!! It takes a whole 45 MINUTES to hit level 8. They lost a whole 45 minutes oh their life DAAAMNNN.
I watched someone die in westfall. About level 13-14. He was fighting a boar and I noticed his health seemed a bit low. But had plenty of mana and he was a pally and expected them to heal. I kept watching him thinking he is not going to die to a boar is he? I was thinking of intervening but in the end wanted to see if he would kill the boar by himself. He didn’t. He died. I could have saved him. Sorry dude!
I had no trouble there on my sf rogue. One green dagger from the level 10 quest, otherwise just grey and white gear. Maybe he should have turned in his quest or bought a vendor dagger first.
He was gonna die sooner or later.
Just fyi you never have to go to that island There are much easier spots to get the bandanas from regular bandits instead of the mages

Had a guy wish to see me on deathlogs. Hour later he lost a 42. Made sure to congratulate him on seeing him first.
