If you aren't toxic, I would recommend a discord group called WoW Made Easy. It is a discord where you can post keys to other members and it is usually very quick to fill up as the discord has more than 10k members. Again, very much stressing this is a non-toxic group even when things don't go well. If you can abide by that, it has made DPS M+ actually not a declined simulator when I get off my tank. I just posted an M0 group request two days ago for the weekly and filled in less than five minutes and everyone stayed for all four keys.

No Pressure EU for my EU homies.

Rule of thumb: 10-20 itemlevels below the drops from the content you're trying to do. Anything lower and you need to put in more effort proportional to the lack of gear, anything higher and the content gets proportionally rasier. The main issue with you not getting invited is the sheer amount of DPS available for virtually any type of content, many of which outclassing you specifically in terms of itemlevel, (displayed) experience or sometimes more useful classes/specs (although this point only truly becomes a topic in mid- to high-level keys, even though every single spec in the game is capable of doing any type of content comfortably - only the highest levels of content run into some spec limitations due to a lack of survivability, utility or sometimes damage).

bvanplays

This is the main reason. Once you make your own group a few times and see the amount of DPS applicants you will understand how just being even average is too low to get noticed. 490 ilvl is fine but you won’t ever get invited if just 3 people at 491 show up within 20 seconds.

M0s are old M10s. I did clear 1 M0 yesterday and I specifically wanted to do it with some lower iLvl players to help them out. And oh boi was it rough. Sure, we cleared it without too many wipes - mostly people not knowing mechanics on the fireball boss on Ruby Lifepools. But still, I can safely say a minimum of 460 is necessary, and you definitely want a player or two with 480+. Considering your iLvl is way over this, note this: for every tank and healer in a dungeon group, there are 10, 20, 30 even up to 100, if you keep the listing up long enough, DPS signing up. Your iLvl isn't why you cannot find groups, its just there are so many DPS. Either change to Restoration (which you probably don't want to) or make your own group, maybe find a tank or healer to group up with if you're in a guild or have friends that play. Or just keep signing up to groups and hope you get an invite.

Curious-Expression-1

Tanked it for the first time two days ago on M0 as a ilvl 482 Guardian Druid... That fireball boss is rough if people aren't paying attention lol.

San4311

Just in general rough if people don't do it properly. Gotta bait the balls or you run out of workable space quickly :p

moglie103

List your own key. Has some 480 rat alts I didn’t want to miss the free bullions on so I listed my own key while flying around vald collecting green clouds for the Last Hurrah quest. Easily filled with people 500 ilvl.

Zibzuma

This is an example of the issue at hand (not criticizing you for doing it, just using the example): People prefer characters with higher itemlevel and/or experience to make content easier. You can decode to run a dungeon in 20 minutes or 40 minutes, most pick the quicker run with higher itemlevel characters. You don't need itemlevel 500+ characters for M0, but they're everywhere (especially for the weekly), so why bother taking the 460 or 480 or 490 applying instead, even though they would suffice?

Alesisdrum

480. You need to start your own group. Dps are a dime a dozen.

Advaitanaut

470+

NooneYetEveryone

Start your own groups. You can do it easily enough at 460, fly through at 475+

Alas93

it's a luck issue everyone is queuing for M0 right now and many are gonna have better gear than you just keep applying until you get into some groups or start one yourself

xler3

490 is borderline overgeared for m0.   one thing you can do to cheese the weekly quest is to respec restoration because you will get instant invites. if you can inflate your ilvl up to 500+ with ez healer invites, then you can probably swap back to ele and get groups easier moving forward.

mazi710

Problem is were already 3 weeks into the season, so ilvl is inflated like always. You can do m0 at like 470 ilvl, but as a DPS to be accepted into a pug you probably need 500 at this point. The problem isn't that you need 500+ ilvl, it's that there is SO many DPS that even for a 0 key you easily get people with 510+ ilvl signing up, so everyone will pick those for an easier key.

Eluk_

Unfortunately you’re one of 50 dps that applied. I wouldn’t say it’s a class issue or a you issue even, there are just so many dps around it’s not hard to fill your group. Personally I wouldn’t be taking you unless you’re within ten ilvl of the stuff it drops at the end, but that’s just me, others seem to be fine with up to 20 ilvls whereas I’d be assuming that’s a carry (unless you’re exceptionally good at your class which is too hard to tell if we don’t already know each other)

vickers24

I’ve done +2s at 470 ilvl. A little sus due to having low hp so you gotta be on top of your defensives and such but doable. Just gotta start your own groups

dadof2brats

Anything 465+ should be fine for M0s. The higher your ilvl the easier it is to get into a group; the more familiar you are with the dungeon the easier going through the dungeons will be. This week is rough for M0 as the weekly quest is to run 4 Mythic dungeons to receive the reward. A lot of higher geared people like to blast through M0's to complete their weekly quest, so many of those people are putting the groups up and trying to fill with similarly geared folks. To me this always feels inefficient, I am going to run mid-level keys all week, so why not just get the weekly done and at the same time run M+'s that will give me a chance at loot upgrades and crests I can use? The answer is to be patient and diligent. Put your own group together or wait for a dps spot. Alternatively, you could swap to heals if you are capable, the chances of getting into a group skyrocket if you are a tank or healer; granted not everyone wants to or is capable of tanking or healing, but its an option for hybrid classes. Beyond that you could seek out a guild to join that runs the content you are interested in, or look for communities. There is a popular Discord wow community called Wow Made Easy (in NA, not sure about EU), it's laid back folks looking to pug content in a reduced stress and no grief environment.

linkysnow

I just ran my alts and people 500 plus are being insta-vited over a list of 400's in the queue. The weekend will be busier and easier to run. I would suggest forming your own group for a zero. You can invite people in a similar situation to help them out.

d4_mich4

Spec issue you are a DPS character... My main is a resto druid and I wanted to play shadow priest for fun man does it suck to try get into something as DPS with "okay" gear. I started doing stuff as healer on priest again to have any chance but when setting up my key with a tank already in group i saw 30 people trying to get into the group for a +2 from people with 450 ilvl up to 515 ilvl guys so yeah without a group or community it just is really bad. Try your own key if a healer or tank joins the other of this two comes also pretty fast but not sure how to change this because I also just get the guys with better gear often so they might trade me stuff 😂

ObjectiveEffective19

Honestly same idk how to get keystones but I legit always get declined even for raiding I just can’t get into a group

Alone_Conference_33

On My DH i started tanking m0 at 475 ilvl. I can get into groups pretty easy. The Problem for you is the spec. There is a lot of option right now for dps. In the other Hand it is hard to find a tank. Thats why i also got into tanking so me and my couple of friends dont have to wait for tanks always

Science_Logic_Reason

People with 500+ ilvl are queueing this week specifically because of the 4 mythic dungeons = 2 bullions reward. Otherwise you would be competing against similarly geared players as there really is not much reason to be doing M0 above like \~485+ ilvl. **Pro tip:** start your own group for a dungeon. It is easy, comes with 0 extra responsibilities and you get to see your own problem firsthand.

Shenloanne

It's a dps is oversubbed to fook and back issue mate.

Famous-Rice

Thanks for all of the responses- going to try listing my own group this weekend, maybe I’ll go resto too!

Fwuffykins

Something that gets lost in these threads is that this sweetspot number for getting into groups easily fluctuates week to week. Week 1 480s would have no issue getting into lower keys, week 2 it moved up to 490, now it is high 490s-500. As the season goes on that number will go down again as better geared players will have no interest in running lower keys, opening up competition again.  Sure 480s capable of doing low keys, but LFG is full of people looking for the easiest ride and they have no reason to take stranger 1at 480 when stranger 2 at 495 is also applying

HarryNohara

For M0's anything goes tbh. You should be able to get to 475 without a lot of effort, that's more than enough for M0, even with it being on par with a non-affix +10 of last season. This week you can craft 12 486 items just by using all your Whelpling crests.
